Build you a triangle box going from toung to fire wall and use it for storage and cover up the sore thumb fire wall
it would have been nice if you had fitted a bit of the front and had a smal storage department under the hood
I was going to make a storage box up front but never got to it
Damn i want to do this but im not sure if its legal in my country, how much does it weigh when you where done?
Different and cool...
excellent job
Thanks 🤘
It would be cool if you could hook an electric motor to the pinion on the diff of the trailer, so it would be driven, so you could take it wheeling in crazy places.
That's an interesting idea!
Or an alternator to charge a battery bank for off grid power 🤔
Well done.
Thanks!
Thanks for this video! All I’ve seen before this are grainy google image pics haha. So did you just slide the square tube into the unibody rails?
I'm currently in the process of doing this exact thing, my question is if you could've done anything differently would you?
I wanted to make a storage box up front but never got around to it.
what was the length on the tubing?
What is the tongue weight on this build? I’ve noticed a lot of these trailer builds are cut off just in front of the rear doors, shortening the distance from hitch to axel significantly.
I never weighed it but it was not to terrible. Always loaded our coolers and stuff towards the back and that helped keep the tongue weight down.
@@JustinBraun2 I guess that would help for sure. I noticed there’s not much built into the front end of the trailer, so I guess there is not much additional weight in front of the axel.
Have you thought of installing a spare tire carrier/jerry can to the bumper? Might balance it out even more so the front could be use for more storage like a propane tank or a more elaborate interior build like drawers or a wooden cabinet maybe?
@@JustinBraun2 all in all though, a pretty sick build I like it
Any overheating issues when towing with your other jeep?
I've got a perfectly good junk XJ to turn into one of these trailers. Looks like this XJ was in decent shape. The floors looked Great...Why cut a good a XJ up for this? Hey I could use those Door Panels with the wood grain. Im having no luck finding those EXACT ones. Thanks for the video and ideas. But I need those Door Panels Lol......
What size stock did you use for your tounge? And did you just weld it along the out size of the unibody?
If I remember right it was 2x4 3/16 wall
Did you just weld it along side the unibody or did you bolt it as well
Just welded it along the unibody
