- It takes a lot of time to get a camping or overlanding vehicle setup dialed in! I've been refining this setup for 2+ years and probably 40 or more trips, and though I'm certainly not done, I've finally got a setup I'm excited to share. I’m in the process of fully rebuilding the swing out on it. I won’t have an episode on the whole build I don’t think, but I’ll definitely do something showing how I did it and what it is. I do talk more about the bumper in my “BleepinJeep Jon & the Spool Bus - what happened?” Episode

I bought a Euhomy version of the same fridge for $189. A bit cheaper than the Alpicool
Nice! I just looked them up for a friend yesterday and compared those two, they’re more like $250 for the 45L right now but the Euhomy is definitely cheaper. And it’s the exact same thing

Only thing is you should have at least a 20L NATO Jerry can. My 2000 xj only gets 330KM a tank and that’s not 4 low either lol that’s city driving
I have a 2 gallon Rotopax of diesel. I got 26MPG on this trip, intentionally drove past multiple fuel stations, and did not need the Rotopax. When I get to go someplace where fuel is actually scarce I will bring my second Rotopax. 4 gallons additional fuel would get me at least 85 miles on or off pavement.

Is it weird that we can't drink tap water anymore?
I filter and drink my tap water, but this was filled with my hose which is raw tap, and then it’s been in this 2 gallon jug for several days. I just bring spring water to drink, and use this for anything expendable. Depending how long I’m out I’ll fill it from other sources too
