No joke I was at the Singapore GP in 2022 and the rain was absolutely crazy it’s like an actual mon soon but the humidity dried the track up very fast after experiencing it I came prepared this year bringing waterproof gear just in case it lashes it down hopefully we are in for a exciting race

We had a massive sudden shower the day before, uprooted multiple trees at various locations due to the wind. In fact, one of the temporary construction scaffolding that was near me had a piece fly off. Completely caught everyone off guard. Hopefully this doesn't happen during the race weekend, or I expect there to be multiple drivers in the wall, because the winds were so sudden and strong that I doubt even Fernando will be able to properly keep the car under control.

@@kamikazeman Did he? I wasn't aware lol, it lasted for 5-10 minutes in the late evening, so it wasn't a continuous shower that likely affected most activities for long periods of time

If Red Bull play it more conservatively with the car settings and stick to what they use in free practice, they will be up there challenging McLaren and Ferrari. Checo's tyre deg in Baku was a very big step forward for Red Bull. And Verstappen was always so bad in Singapore that this year he just has to go for the opposite result and surprise everyone.

I wonder how many upgrades Mclaren will bring. Last years upgrade here was really crucial. Depending how many upgrades there are, we might see another Dutch GP.
Pretty sure the upgrades are only going to be track specific. They'd probably wait until Austin for the new floor that they've been holding back on.
This track with rain could be a championship maker or breaker. I think it could be one of the most important weekends for the championship for Norris and Max

I don't really agree with Ferrari being ahead of Mclaren. That flexy rear wing package really seems to be the best on a street track.

Singapore is nothing like Baku and we haven't seen ferrari on high downforce track after updates that were made for low downforce tracks mostly

I checked the weather for the race as well but most of if not all of the rain will be in the morning. Maybe we might see rain in fo1 or fo3 but it doesn't seem like a competitive session will be wet

Charles will definitely want to put right what he clearly feels was a lost victory last time out and win here. Luckily, McLaren's trick rear-wing flap shouldn't be as effective in Singapore despite there now being *four* DRS zones.
4 drs zones and it’s going to be wet 😢😢, hopefully we get a lot of running for a start. Rain will benefit the likes of Hamilton, Norris, Verstappen.
This is my favorite video of the week. I won't be seeing this GP, I'll be away judging a competition. So will only see the results at the end of my day, some 8 hours after the race. Tough weekend for me regarding F1. Love your analysis, though I do put George ahead of Sainz. In a wet race, do not discount Albon nor Hulkenberg and if not for the absolute cement mixer of a car, Bottas - who I think will score points this weekend. Also, either way, I do not think MV finishes this race, thinking more that he will have something to do with one of the 2 Saftety cars that will come out on race day.

Nah i’m holding my finger on Leclerc this weekend. Considering the Mclaren and Ferrari are pretty much even i think he can pull out a master drive, both in quali and the race.🎉
Are the cars so slow, that they are only 1 secound faster with a track that used to have more corners. Crazy
So many missed opportunities for Lando so far this year. We have to look back at the end of the year to see what his points tally would be if things were slightly different.

Dude does not rate Piastri at all. I don't think I've ever seen him put Piastri higher than P3 all season. Guess even his performance in Baku is not enough to change some people's minds. He's a legitimate contender to win this race. The only thing that could really foil him is bad luck or team orders/strategy.
I’ve put Piastri as race winner multiple times. I do rate him but the competition is close. Accusing me of having something against him is just plain wrong

I think Landos one of the best in the wet too. He’s always up there with Lewis in the wet especially with changing conditions 🤷♂️

Rain 90% isn't the chance it's the coverage of the area with rain.
