He’s going to inspire a lot of young kids to be more versatile. Coaches will also be more willing to let players try doing everything. I look forward to what future generations will do now that they know 50-50 is possible from a pitcher. Will we see a switch hitter win a Cy Young? Or a 20 game winner win the Triple Crown for hitting? I hope so.

He wasn't even at his best this season. Today he was insane but I felt like he was missing something because of the surgery in other games. Next year I think he'll be better than this year.
He won't likely have this many stolen base attempts ever again, since he will save his energy on the days he pitches and hit in the same games nexy year. When he is no longer able to throw as a pitcher, they will probably move him to outfield or 1st base. By that time, he would have lost a few steps.

Ohtani is the Create-A-Player we always try to make in video games. His stats are simply unreal!
I tried to create a player like Ohtani in a video game as a kid. But it wouldnt let me. I had to create two different players and pretend they were the same guy.
I've never been a baseball guy and have not watched basketball games since Dirk's 2011 run, but Shohei and Caitlin Clark have made me take interest in baseball and Women's Basketball respectively. What a time to be alive! I even got to follow Jordan's games and Hamilton's dominant F1 career.

If Mookie didn't get injured, Shohei wouldn't have the opportunity to show off his speed. The two months that Betts was out and Shohei batted 1st, his SBs took a huge leap. If they only had him doing it since the start of the season, he might have gotten 60 or 70 SBs by now.

If the Dodgers was smart,let him just hit. He has already had 2 surgeries already because of pitching. This season and beginning of next season, they’ll recovered their $700 millions investment from Sponsored,endorsements etc.. Ohtani's performance has had the biggest impact, but if you were asked to choose one player for the team, it would overwhelmingly be Whit Jr., followed by Judge or Henderson.
If you were a manager and asked, "Which player do you most want on your team?" there's no one who would answer Shohei Ohtani.
Ohtani deserves the MVP award, given to the player who performed the best throughout the year, but in terms of the best player overall, the designated hitter is out of the question.
He only got to this "club" because nobody else had tried it. In recent years, players who are supposed to be stolen base specialists don't even try to steal anymore, even if they are hardly ever thrown out. Nobody wants to put in the effort unless their contracts are incentivized. Shohei gets credit for trying to do what other people hadn't attempted.
