One day he will be MVP and CY in one season. He is the greatest of all-time by far. No one is a great 2-way player besides Babe Ruth, and Ohtani is better.
Thank you, Skip! Very cool what you did!
I’m a bleed blue Dodger fan and my favorite player in the game is Mookie. He’s the best all around player I can recall watching since Griffey Jr. With that in mind, few things about the unmatched greatness of what Shohei is doing are more enjoyable to me than how Mookie reacts.
He’s a top 5 player of his generation, so absurdly great at everything that it’s unfair to humanity, but mention Ohtani and you’d think he’s a kid hoping for a glimpse of his idol and maybe a signature. His smile is ear to ear, no ego, no pretense that he’s close to Ohtani as a player. He’s like us, a fan in awe.
Wow, hall of fame moment. Congratulations Ohtani. Well done
As an Asian American sports fan, who played all sports in Leagues (albeit not very good)I grew up with literally no athletes that looked like me. It means so much to finally have someone that other Asian Athletes can aspire to be in American sports. Congratulations to Shohei!!
I felt the same as an Asian Australian growing up. It's a very white washed country down here, more so than America cause we didn't have Africans in our sports here, which of course keeps the white people humble. I became a big Manny Pacquiao fan growing up, luckily following his whole career. I got lucky to have someone to look up to.
@@sacpac8480 yes, totally forgot about Manny and Even Ichiro were pretty good examples of Asian Athletes. Pretty sure though its the Latino part of his Philippino genes that make him an athlete lol
Don’t even like baseball, but great feat if he is the first to do it!! 💪
And, tons respect for the Marlins coach!! Wowwwww that is sportsmanship and honor!
He deserves the note and the applause 👏
Just think if Shohei grew up in the states and played football. 6’4” 220lbs, blazing speed, intelligence, athletic ability, rifle arm. Hmmm…we might not be talking about Maholmes as the goat. Just a thought
Mad respect for that coach!!!!
He’s not generational talent. He’s centennial talent.
Shohei is out there playing slow pitch softball! Awesome! And his homers are not cheap! The sound off his bat is just different.
The title of this video is spot on...Ohtani vs. Marlins.
Last time I remember Shohei showing that much emotion... He hit a 2 run HR against Yankees to tie the game. (Think his first bat flip)
The fact that people still deny this man is the greatest of all time.
Crazy!!!
I have zero problem with what the Marlins did in trying to go after Ohtani. In fact, much respect.
I never thought I'd see a better all-around baseball player than Ichiro. I think I possibly just did.
As Japanese, I proud of him a lot. He is the GOAT. MVP.
As a human being, i cant believe this. He's godlike. And in a literal way he's God here
Ohtani is a legend among legends, a Star among stars, and the goat among goats!
Shohei’s career is like a movie in real life 😂. Real life Superman in baseball !
Remember when nearly everyone was laughing at the Dodgers for giving Ohtani that much money? Now those same people are wishing their team coughed up that much to get him. He is worth EVERY penny
I have been watching and playing baseball for 80 years. Ohtani is a good player for sure.
MVP Ohtani❤
I was an MLB prospect in 1988 for the San Diego Padres, but my life went downhill after I failed a drug test. Watching Shohei Ohtani hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases gives me hope. If he can achieve the impossible, maybe I can too-especially since I didn’t hit the bottle shop tonight 🥊🌎
Still have ten games to go.
It’s not unreasonable to think he could do 60-60.
When he’s on, he’s ON.
Being such a streak player, this could be the wildest end to a season we’ve ever seen.
55/55 seems more realistic but 9 Homers in 10 games would be insane
He hit 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases as a fielder in the same place where he pitched as a pitcher in the WBC. He is a living legend.
The fact that no one in the history of baseball in US got this record and now a Japanese player comes in and gets this record🎉🎉🎉.
That Shohei Ohtani moment is going to go crazy
Ohtani is a cheat code.
When you build a player in a game and he's so good that it makes the game look like a joke.
Great for him to do this on this day specially after da urias video came out baseball is a beautiful sport and as a true dodger fan it's a privilege to c this man ball out
I remember Conseco doing 40/40. It was an immortal moment. Now, it’s in the backwater of MLB history.
Much respect. That boy can play! Go Tigers😊
GOAT 🐐
Wow how long did it take for you to come up with that original thought 🙄
Classy coach
I never even heard of this guy until now. Wow incredible!
Ohtani is the only person who can take the spotlight away from Diddy's Oils....
😂😂
HE WENT CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!
Move over Godzilla....
日本人として誇りを持ちますが日本と言うより地球の代表になってしまったよ
Mad respect for Skip.
Dave Roberts is so amazing, I think he is a complement to Shohei... Sad to know he is retiring
OHTANI IS A GOD!!! Hopefully the Dodgers don't choke yet again in the Postseason and waste this generational season from Ohtani.
They will
With the current state of their rotation, i would keep my expectations low atm.
He is special and we are witnessing one if not the best baseball player of all time
Respect to marins.
In all future documentary about this, Skip Schumacher and the pitcher will always have a screen time.
Japanese baseball players are the best players in the world. 👏
Thanks for the compliment. But we think you guys are still the best.
Vin Scully would have loved to see and call this.
GOAThani one of kind player, generational talent 💯
