No, and he never could - despite what Fox, OAN, and all the other Right Wingnut channels would have you believe: this matter is in the COURT SYSTEM - the Judiciary now, NOT the police, or the F.B.I., or anyone but judges, Juries, and attorneys.
The thing you apparently don't know (which is sad, no matter which "side" you're on), is that our government is made up of three distinctly separate branches:
1.) The Judiciary (the entire court system), which is the ONLY part of our government that can try and sentence criminals,
2.) the Administrative (the President, the IRS. Federal police, and our armed forces), and
3.) Congress (the Senate, and the House of Representatives - Upper and Lower houses), which MAKES and PASSES laws, and is the only part of our government authorized to spend our tax money - for anything.
- All of that comes straight from our Constitution, and not until TRUMP corrupted the Judiciary by appointing judges (including Supreme Court judges) that would help him delay punishment for any crime he commits, has any one branch of government been able to influence another - it was designed this way, to keep us safe from Fascism, or a Monarchy.
Trump corrupts everything he touches - and he is now utterly corrupting our government itself - for his own benefit.

Isn't the thing limiting actions against a sitting president a "policy" rather than a "law"? That is, is it not what the DOJ chose to follow rather than a limit set by law and therefore the DOJ can simply do as they choose without any legal appeal of it? I admit I don't know for sure, but from the various talks on the news about it, that seems to be what lawyers have presented it as.

Consider that the SCOTUS immunity decision, could be a double;e edged sword, also granting our sitting president greater authority to deal with, for example, an accused insurrectionist, former president or not, though it seems clear that Biden has a moral compass, which will provide restraint.

By 4:30, "funny" hearing her talk about Trump attending security briefings and yet he DIDN'T KNOW to declassify documents on his exit-- it was JUST okay to sneak out with a bunch of papers THAT didn't JUST "belong to him", AND after him blatantly complaining about Hillary Clinton AND "her email behavior".
Hillary was not president and she deleted evidence after a court told her not to.
Trump was president and he took copies - like every president did. Including Joe despite only being VP. He had a security clearance and was legally allowed access to those documents created while he served.
