Exactly! Also, I don’t mind paying taxes for public education for children that I don’t have because I believe in an educated citizenry. I’d like Vance to be questioned on all these statements he made in 2021, 2022 and so on.
Also, as a homeowner, my property taxes fund public education, even though I don’t have children. I too have no issue with that set up but to suggest I should pay a higher tax rate is ludicrous. Make the corporations and the top 10% of earners pay more, not people like me.

This is a super hot take. Kids are very expensive - you are not better off financially if you have kids, everything else being equal.
Meek tax deductions are way less impactful than saving $10k/yr on groceries, replacing outgrown clothes, entertainment, extra utilities cost, another phone line, extra gas usage, extracurricular activities costs, and more. And that’s just *before* the societal norms of what good parents do like contributing to college costs, buying them a car no matter how expensive, contributing to wedding costs, helping with the down payment on a home, etc etc etc.
