The new corporate office has 2 indoor pools, basketball court, running track, 2 tennis courts outside, day care facilities, catered food. I had also commented before that...closer to after the debate, that I would support him until or unless he got incontrovertible data telling him that he simply did not have the support he needed to beat Trump. I understood that he got that data...too many major players pulling back and the money drying up. He knew then, with no doubt, that it was over. Biden is an honorable man and I trusted him to do the right thing for his party and for the country and he did that. Three nights ago, I said, "Son, I chose to take FIVE oaths of enlistment for the, "Freedom to and the Freedom Not To......son, it's the Freedom. Son, I choose not to vote this election". After President Biden (with complete respect) chose not to pursue re-election, it changed my PERSPECTIVE COMPLETELY. I will cast my vote for Kamala Harris, not because she is female, as I am, because she is accomplished on EVERY FRONT OF CHARACTER, INTEGRITY AND ETHICS, THAT DONALD HAS PROVEN . . .DOES NOT, NOR CHOOSES TO WORK TOWARDS. I spoke to my doctor about my mom, who worked full time for 40 years for the same insurance company, & then retired and worked part time until three years before her death at age 85. My doc said…75 plus year olds have good days and bad days. They may be fine in the morning, but a little off at night. They may have an hour or thirty minutes in the middle of the day where they are just not “with it.” Some manage to keep their minds sharp until death in their eighties or nineties, but not many. By the way, some of the leading causes of death world wide are lower respiratory illnesses/COPD and heart disease/stroke. And heart disease can cause issues with cognition.
I work with elderly people. Changes in the elderly happen quick. Getting an infection or ill can really impact an elderly persons mental and physical health dramatically.
I agree, I saw it with my mom and my husband and I feel it in myself. Get what you need to do done before 75 because by 80 your body seems looking for an excuse to give up.

As an overseas observer of current US politics I'm struck by the obvious difference in intellect between spokespeople of the two sides. Carvel even at 79 is one of the best political minds that the country has. I believe he is spot on in terms of a generational turning of the page. Much of this, in my view, will depend on whether millennials believe they have any skin in the game. I think they do and I think that this is their time to make themselves heard. Also, Gen X is not a squeamish generation. When they were growing up they were small but they went hard in the paint. If they have a good reason to support her, they will. The fact that two 80-year-olds were running for president may present a good enough visual to turn the page.

I'm 65 and have spent the last 13 months devoted to my 90 yr old father as his primary caregiver. I've noticed major changes in my behavior, my ability to speak coherently and fluidly. My ability to simply walk without stomping, swerving, stumbling, falling into walls or railings. There is no way I could do my previous career work. I can't imagine trying to be a US President or Senator or House Rep, with these personally debilitating injuries - which I am hoping will gradually heal to the point where I'm not embarrassed to be seen in public by friends, family and especially strangers in restaurants or while out shopping. Bless Joe Biden for being able to take his own personal self inventory and stepping back from the goal he had achieved and for all he's been able to accomplish for all of America these last 4 years especially.

You judge a business is greedy or not by looking at their year end net profit. If they make about5_10% then they are not greedy, if they make 25+ then they are.

The new corporate office has 2 indoor pools, basketball court, running track, 2 tennis courts outside, day care facilities, catered food. I had also commented before that...closer to after the debate, that I would support him until or unless he got incontrovertible data telling him that he simply did not have the support he needed to beat Trump. I understood that he got that data...too many major players pulling back and the money drying up. He knew then, with no doubt, that it was over. Biden is an honorable man and I trusted him to do the right thing for his party and for the country and he did that. My father passed away in June last year he was a veteran, an airman in the Army, he fought in the Vietnam War two tours. When Joe Biden announced that he would not be running for President in the upcoming election I picked up my father's award/certificate of service and shedded tears they were happy and sad tears happy because I know my father didn't fight in vain for this country and that there is still hope because President Biden passed the torch and sad because seeing President Biden signature on my father's certificate of service award made it final. 😢Thank you President Joe Biden we will make Herstory not because she is African American and Asian American but because SHE IS QUALIFIED.

Three nights ago, I said, "Son, I chose to take FIVE oaths of enlistment for the, "Freedom to and the Freedom Not To......son, it's the Freedom. Son, I choose not to vote this election". After President Biden (with complete respect) chose not to pursue re-election, it changed my PERSPECTIVE COMPLETELY. Kamala had a terrible reputation as a prosecutor, upping bail, trying to hold people in jail she knew to be innocent, refusing to hand over exculpatory evidence to defense, maintaining excessive jail time for marajuana users and trying to prolong sentences so she could use the prisoners to fight CA fires. She was called out for all of this by fellow democrats at the 2020 democratic debate. Easy to look up. That is why she got less than 3% support from her home state of CA. Moreover, she was a big supporter of Jessie Smollett, the Chicago hoaxter, long after most people realized what an embarrassing fake he was. The fact is Kamala is profoundly lacking in judgment and integrity.

I spoke to my doctor about my mom, who worked full time for 40 years for the same insurance company, & then retired and worked part time until three years before her death at age 85. My doc said…75 plus year olds have good days and bad days. They may be fine in the morning, but a little off at night. They may have an hour or thirty minutes in the middle of the day where they are just not “with it.” Some manage to keep their minds sharp until death in their eighties or nineties, but not many. By the way, some of the leading causes of death world wide are lower respiratory illnesses/COPD and heart disease/stroke. And heart disease can cause issues with cognition.

I work with elderly people. Changes in the elderly happen quick. Getting an infection or ill can really impact an elderly persons mental and physical health dramatically.
True, I see it with my mom who is 86. She got Covid last December and that set her back almost overnight. I saw the immediate decline.
I agree, I saw it with my mom and my husband and I feel it in myself. Get what you need to do done before 75 because by 80 your body seems looking for an excuse to give up.
Just look at how many die or enter serious decline immediately after a (relatively minor) fall at home.

Carvel even at 79 is one of the best political minds that the country has. I believe he is spot on in terms of a generational turning of the page. Much of this, in my view, will depend on whether millennials believe they have any skin in the game. I think they do and I think that this is their time to make themselves heard. Also, Gen X is not a squeamish generation. When they were growing up they were small but they went hard in the paint. If they have a good reason to support her, they will. The fact that two 80-year-olds were running for president may present a good enough visual to turn the page.
I was watching Chuck Schumer talking about endorsing Kamala today and he was smiling and gesturing with both hands like an excited kid - I've NEVER seen him like that and it made me smile. Yes, the mood has changed and people are excited!

I'm 65 and have spent the last 13 months devoted to my 90 yr old father as his primary caregiver. I've noticed major changes in my behavior, my ability to speak coherently and fluidly. My ability to simply walk without stomping, swerving, stumbling, falling into walls or railings. There is no way I could do my previous career work. I can't imagine trying to be a US President or Senator or House Rep, with these personally debilitating injuries - which I am hoping will gradually heal to the point where I'm not embarrassed to be seen in public by friends, family and especially strangers in restaurants or while out shopping. Bless Joe Biden for being able to take his own personal self inventory and stepping back from the goal he had achieved and for all he's been able to accomplish for all of America these last 4 years especially.

If you focus on destressing, moving and strengthening your body and mind, you can get some of that function back. It's a losing argument. Dems hate his anyway and his fans overlook his shenanigans and crimes. Since probably no more than 1% is undecided, the focus should be on getting out the vote. VP Harris should avoid the subject of the border. She only visited the border a single time, far away from the epicenter of the invasion. You can't even call it a visit. She went to a place that has no problem, and was there for a very short period of time. So essentially, she never visited the border as we know it.
