Your videos are the exact opposite of endless and hopeless. They demonstrate hope for being able to see exotic locations for far less than people think. For people like me stuck in the 9-5 grind they offer an escape and something to look forwards to when I can do the same trip later this year
Hi Rich ignore the negative comments these people are stuck in a bubble of life and do not have the balls to do what you are doing my friend enjoy everyday

Enjoy your videos mate. I've been to Thailand a few times now. I adore the country and Bangkok is definitely within my top five cities in the world. I'm back again in September and your videos make me very excited to be going back. Perhaps I can buy you a pint if we're both in Bangkok at the same time!
Prices in BK seem to have gone up since weed was legalized. That’s why we now head north to Chiang Mai rather thann Bangkok. More chilled, more low prices, more interesting food, more open space. Plus there’s Pai, Chiang Rai and lots of other beautiful places to visit. Also there’s Cambodia/Laos and Vietnam where prices are like Thailand 15/20 years ago. I love your vlogs, Seth Armstrong/Jack Hargreaves’s abroad!
I pulled the trigger, Ritchie! I'm booked to arrive at BKK on October 29. Traveling the country until November 26. BKK to Chiang Mai to Hua Hin, then south to the islands. Hope to cross your path along the way. Cheers!
Morning, Richy! Peak hour pea-souper with the passengers in the train. I don't know how they coped or managed through COVID. People just love to citique and will still watch you every day, just to make a point. Glad they aren't bothering you with the content. ☺️ Good old Google Maps - I wonder how long they take to update all these locations and movements? I know you have had some sketchy instructions for directions at times in the regional areas. But I would have expected Bamgkok to be way more dynamic in updating the content. Very sanitary looking market compared to the normal street markets. Probably also why it is overpriced. As a tourist, I am probably going to just pay that, but now I know what I SHOULD be paying thanks to your vlogs, I probably wouldn't buy any food here anyway. But it seems the locals are happy enough to pay this here too? I thought the quality at night in this one was a bit better than the previous vlogs with all the light reactions by the camera. The democracy monument is 1000 times more spectacular at night, than in the day.
Hi Greg, with my illness I was still learning and I think I’ve got the flashing lights nailed for the future but we’ll see mate. The market was nice but extremely touristy which you know I don’t like.i think google maps learns from our input so I keep them updated as much as possible.
Hey, everything may have gone wrong for you, but it was a great video. I really like the market vlogs because I love to people watch and this way I don't even have to get out of my chair 😅. Have a great travel my friend! Stay safe
I lived in Thailand Richy for 4yr was deported twice after jail and IDC, I speak some Thai and I still think your information useful it keeps me up to date mate wish I was with you ☮
I enjoy your vlogs because you are a deeply authentic man. Great sense of Humor and very kind. I fly into Bangkok on July 11th and will be the country until the 24th. Mostly in Pattaya and Bangkok but may slip off to Hua Hin. I'm staying at the Ramada Plaza by the Riverfront--Have you been to the Asiatique The Riverfront? It's really close to my motel and I will be going there on the 12th.
Thank you, that’s great to hear. Sounds like a good plan you’ve got. No I haven’t been to Asiatique but I’ll be in Bangkok in a few days if I have time I’ll check it out.
Much appreciated mate, it’s usually the people who know these things about the information I’m giving that find it hopeless. They can’t see past their noses and realise this channel isn’t just for them personally.
Hey Richy! I rarely comment on RUclips, but I want to express my sincere appreciation for the time and effort you put into your videos. While I'm not currently a subscriber, I'm strongly considering becoming one soon. I'm an avid viewer of your videos and thoroughly enjoyed the one where you visited my hometown of Ha Tien in Vietnam, as well as your explorations in Kep and Kampot. My father is a huge fan of your content, and we both wholeheartedly support you. We particularly appreciate your videos in Cambodia and Vietnam. My father finds your sense of humor to be quite entertaining. It's important to ignore the haters, as they only serve to fuel your motivation to create more content. Keep up the great work, and we'll continue to support you. Much love from Toronto, Canada! 🇨🇦 We hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person and share a drink someday. - Michael
Thanks to you and your Father Michael, I love exploring new destinations and I will be back in both Cambodia and Vietnam as I have many friends to see.
You will always find the idiots you will anywhere you go. I find your videos very good like seeing where you go as most times off the beaten track so many include myself will near see
Richie breast of chicken and Eggs and certain foods have gone up but I think worldwide food has gone up a little great video Richie take know notice of these negative comments let them sit down and watch coronation street and east enders and live in the little bubble you are living a great adventure mate
Another good video, can I give you a tip for a good, fast way of getting across town from Banglamphu? |from your hotel in Samsen, walk to Pan Fa Leelard from there you can get he Saen Saep canal taxi which will get you to the top of Asok in minutes. the Asok stop is literally next to Phetburi MRT
Some things may change but don’t forget that there’s still mostly rural and remote farmlands in Thailand with a more simple life. The urban areas are aspirational for kids from these poorer parts, and I doubt that will change!? Just certain areas of major Thai cities tend to be more expensive as you can still find places local Thais go on their comparatively low wages.
Your vlogs have helped my travels immensely the only thing is I'm not a cheap charlie I stay in good hotels but also like to see how others travel Keep up the vlogs many thanks 🙏
If I had a £1 for every dig I've had in my back I would be rich😂your like me straight over the top of my head. I think its jelousy your living the dream 😊You know I love watching the markets it feels like I'm actually there so interesting. I hope your feeling better now 😊
On a grand scale of things what's you long term plan. I understand its difficult to stay more than 6 months doing visa runs and luck of the draw if the immigration stamp you in again
It’s not if you follow the rules Martin, just know what to say to immigration and they’re fine. In over 12 months I’ve been asked once about my intention’s and it took minutes in a room and they stamped me in.
I have noticed that Richie instead of paying 40 thai baht the younger ones have a very fancy looking stool even looks cleaner but charge you 80 thai baht and it doesn’t taste authentic like the older generation cook it
I tend to avoid what are now tourist market traps, the back street shops are much better and you can barter.... Shame it's all about maximum money for mostly shoddy goods.... I came here years ago buying and shipping goods to the UK, now it's not worth in

Yes there is a place for everything but it’s starting to dominate your actual vlogs and I also believe that is why you get a lot of negative comments. Anyway, just a thought.
I appreciate your input mate but my channel is based on budget travel. I understand that it’s not for everybody but the negative comments are 0.1% of my overall.
A person should approach any market as a matter of value. Is it a good value or not? And at markets where negotiating takes place... it's their job to get the highest price and your job to get the lowest price. If seller and buyer can agree on a price, a sale takes place. If price isn't agreed upon, no sale takes place. Never let anyone guilt you into paying or make you feel guilty that you wouldn't pay their price. Always smile and be polite.
