I wired a Bluetooth adapter into the factory Bose head unit, too (in my 2000 Audi TT). It worked flawlessly. :)

I can't say for sure, as I didn't own this car when it was new (25 year old speakers at this point) but the PowerBass OE series sound fantastic!
