Nice to see you back home. My mother used fine gingham fabrics to smock little girls dresses. She used the check so that she didn’t have to mark the fabric with dots.
Lovely to see you back home Janelle after your memory making time in Japan. Those fabrics are so you and I know whatever you make will be stunning. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with your smocking machine......and your latest knitting project. When my daughter was small I knitted her several feather and fan patterned jumpers. I love how it has come back in style. You are truly gifted Janelle! 🐾🥰
I agree about the lack of plain coloured rayon fabric. There's not enough variety available in local stores. The inspo dresses with the quilting will be such a cute project! I can't wait to see what you make 😊
Welcome home, enjoy getting back in the sewing seat and sewing up a storm! Love all your fabric choices (particularly the poppy) perfect colours no matter the season 🌼
I love the green dress you are wearing. My thoughts have gone back to it ever since I watched the video of you making. I love the way the flowers are brought into focus on the bodice.
I'm honestly feeling like I wanna cry with relief hearing that you're back. I must have really missed having your projects to follow along with. I've not been sewing at all while my bursting closet full of fabric has been neglected 🩷
Welcome home. Your jumper will be lovely. I'm currently knitting yiur Rosary Ju,mper in the Bendigo WM same green you're using. It's coming together nicely. So glad to have you back. Happy sewing ❤😊
Welcome back home! I enjoyed all of your Japan videos… thank you for taking us on that amazing journey with you. Looking forward to watching you make these projects in the next coming weeks!
Welcome back! I actually bought the light green version of the Spotlight gingham seersucker to make something for my daughter in law who actaullylooks like you! Can’t wait to see what you make from it.
you're home!! hooray!! should I re-book my Sunday morning cuppa with Janelle? I've been a bit unmotivated of late.. thinking having you back here in Aus will prompt me back to the machine! Welcome home!! your trip looked amazing!! xx
Welcome home, Janelle! 😊 Lovely projects 😍, I very much look forward to seeing you make them all. I love the idea of the quilted detail on the dress, and the wonderful long flowy dress with the epic sleeves 🤩 We know which colours you love, so please don't apologise for the "boring" plain rayon, it's totally you, and whatever you end up making with it will be gorgeous!
Welcome back Janelle. That quilt block is an Ohio Star. Very cute use of them in a dress! Need any quilting inspo, give me a buzz. Have a blessed day. 😊
So good to see you. I love all your projects with the new fabrics. I know your swamped with new ideas swirling, but could you please share a little more on how you created such small icons of cross stitch in Fiddle. I simply cannot get mine down. Love the yarn for the new jumper. Great idea to make curvy lines. So much talent there .
The poppy fabric is TO DIE FOR! So beautiful! And the quilted dresses are very interesting too :D The wool combo is gorgeous too, I hope to finally knit a sweater soon too 😅
I've got fabrics and am going to get organised this weekend :)) here in England it is cold and autumnal now, your colour palette is so appropriate for the season here 💕
I really like the lace top idea I plan to make the willow pattern in a similar colour fabric to the burnt orange rayon. Happy you're back! I loved Deer Park.
Hi Janelle, welcome home. Looking forward to seeing all your Sp ring plans come to life. So excited for Spring in general. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🌸
This is such a lovely stash of fabric, the colours are similar to mine for fall 🍁 in Switzerland. I can't wait to see these beautiful projects come to life! I particularly like Jessica Silversaga designs and I think that your version will be perfect!
Hi Janelle Welcome Home. You're finally back. It was a great journey for both of you in Japan and i've loved all you video's there. You're getting a lot of ideas for making new dresses and other clothing. I'm glad that you're back, finally Home, there's no beter place like home. Greeting from Desiree, Netherlands 🇳🇱
Welcome back. I have enjoyed the vlogs of your experiences.. about the knitting..have you seen Jo ji locatelli. She has a beautiful sweater using a variety of yarns with feather and fan .. good luck with the smocking machine mine has done a lot. Joh
Can you do more of your knitting videos I love them and like them they are so peaceful so can you do more of them please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much ❤😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Adore your videos, always watch while pattern cutting and sewing!❤️ I'm actually going to Japan in a few weeks to get married (I'm malig my own dress so wish me luck 😅) Any advice about which way is best to get fabric home? Not sure if posting back to UK or just bring an additional suitcase is easier? Also any phrases or words that are helpful to use in the fabric shops? Sorry if I've missed in other videos! Rachx
Rayon in plain colours (especially nice ones) is just as hard to find here in South Africa! If you're looking for a pattern to base your smocked top on, I would suggest the Sagebrush Top by Friday Pattern Company. It's very similar to the IG image you showed. Enjoy your spring projects! 😃🌼🌻
Thanks for watching! I’ve actually shared how I work out fabric amounts and a whole heap of other fabric shopping tips in this video: ruclips.net/video/BzqHv8fCMM4/видео.html&si=LB4UG70oEKC70yI_
I apologize Janelle the knitting pattern by Joji isn’t feather and fan but another lace stitch …..it was my thinking I would do f and f stitch instead ..joh
Ohhhh the Ella's pattern is so pretty. The sizes though, are brutal. I'm a 38F and I don't think the largest size would fit even without my boobs. Can anyone think of a similar Silhouette and neckline with more of a size range? I am not opposed to doing an FBA.
Nothing more than Australian creators speaking about spring gives me joy during the almost autumn in the northern emisphere . Loooove it ❤
Hahaha and vice versa for us! We get quite cold down here is Tassie lol
Nice to see you back home. My mother used fine gingham fabrics to smock little girls dresses. She used the check so that she didn’t have to mark the fabric with dots.
The classic use, I agree!

hi how are you Do you make dresses by hand?
When you make the quilted dress could you please make a video? Oh my goodness!
Of course! ☺️

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve ended up self drafting a pattern. Fingers crossed it works out 🤞🏻
I bet you missed sewing, 6 months is a long time to go without. 😂. However, thank you for taking us along on your travels.
I’ve missed it so much! It’s been nice to give my back a break from it though 😅
Thank you for not using the terms smocking and shirring as one in the same. They are two completely different techniques of sewing.
Loving all your sewing ideas!, A question I have: How do you know how much fabric you need for each project
Thanks for watching! I’ve actually shared how I work out fabric amounts and a whole heap of other fabric shopping tips in this video: ruclips.net/video/BzqHv8fCMM4/видео.html&si=LB4UG70oEKC70yI_
Woman you are going to sell me on square space one of these days!
I’m looking forward to seeing your projects. I guess you’ll be wearing the new scrunchy next video? 😹😹😹💝🥰🤗
Haha yep! I’ve made it and I’ve been wearing it non-stop 😍
Do you prewash your fabric especially since it is cotton?
Yep every time! Pre washing is super important 😊
@@RoseryApparel Thank you 😊!

I’ve recently seen that they are working on extending the sizes, if you go to their instagram you might be able to find more info x
