Wonderful "reasoning": diversity of opinion leads to better decision-making, woman are a form of diversity, and therefore hiring women will lead to better decision-making. This "reasoning" is flawed, as diversity of opinion is contingent on multiple factors, only one of which is hiring people with different backgrounds such as women (note that there are also other forms of diversity). If the women that were hired have the same opinions and backgrounds as the former men, this will NOT lead to greater diversity of opinion, and therefore NOT to better outcomes. So, stop the dogmatic and politically inspired gender politics. It is absurd. What matters is freedom of speech and an open communication culture. This cultural change - in combination with hiring people from different backgrounds - will lead to diversity of opinion and better decision-making. The irony, however, is that dogmatic gender politics is undermining the freedom of speech and hence diversity of opinion and hence better decision-making ... PS @interviewer, do your job and learn to push back against gender political nonsense.
