    I wouldn't mind to have either one! One day I'll maybe afford one, one day...till then my Fireball is fun and a heck of a lot cheaper while still giving me a Goblin experience. Keep up the good work SAB making amazing helis! Thanks and good business to Bert at BK Hobbies!

    Very informative comparison. On the video the Kraken looks even better. Kind of looks like a modern super car with more straight lines than curves like the Thunder line. But mechanically and feature wise you covered it all. Thanks for the video!

  • @James28R

    Out of interest, isn't the drake the 'sport' 700, i.e. a cheaper version? Does that mean the Havok is also the cheaper one or is it more the main line of Goblin?

    • @BertKammerer
      @BertKammerer  5 лет назад +1

      The Thunder Sport, Drake and Havok machines are all "value" machines, but with this said, they are pretty much identical to the original Goblin with the exception of G10 frames and the lack of a few "out of the box" upgrades, such as quick release canopy knobs, etc., but all in all, same as any other top of the line Goblin. Drake and Havok are the exact same where Drake is 2 blade in matte orange color and Havok is 3 blade in matte yellow color.

      @@BertKammerer Ah nice, thanks for the reply! The various names are slightly confusing and i've just resorted to comparing the prices of the kits! There are just so many varieties of 700-800 machines, thunder, thunderbolt, comet, sport, havok, drake, kraken, the 770 sport, black nitro (which to be fair is fairly self explanatory) And the Kyle edition, which i'm leaning towards as i have a 380 kse already (And a 570, non sport) Last question if i may, is there what you would call an 'ultimate 700/770' which is considered the 'best' Goblin? Thanks again!

    whats the flying weight ? also my guess i can use my castle 160hv esc. I have a 800dfc and a700e i want to get a goblin and use the electronics from the 700e i cant get parts for it i like the build on the kraken

    • @BertKammerer
      @BertKammerer  5 лет назад

      The weight is heavily dependent on electronics and batteries, so hard to say because it depends on equipment. You should be able to use a Castle 160HV, I don't see an issue with that, all the electronics you have on your 700E (servos, FBL system, etc.) should work well on the Kraken.

    • @weasele1

      @@BertKammerer in short i was just wondering how much if any lighter this heli would be and iam curious at the difference of sound with the sealed gear box being belt driven must be a real quiet bird just hearing the motor and wind in the blades must be nice. how much lighter then my 700e. that thing has a lot of parts im nt happy with it. iv had a lot of issues i will only fly with v bar from now on. i fly vbar in my 800 dfc just threw a neo in the 700e the kraken looks real sweet. a ot lighter

    • @BertKammerer
      @BertKammerer  5 лет назад

      @@weasele1 It will not be lighter, weight compared to your 700E would be close to the same, just simpler, more modern design, the sealed gear box is bullet proof, works extremely well with zero maintenance for hundreds of flights.

I dnt trust all the ball links and linkages but iyt does fly well i leave the high head speed if i wnt to the 800dfc i just recently in the past 6 months bought a 800 dfc and the 700 cant really buy another heli right now

    Ya'll can purchase the new Kraken with all of it's revisions, new tech, new design, etc. as it compares to the original Goblin 700 models......I'm gonna sit back and wait to see what the flaws are in the new design and where the build integrity has been compromised with this newly designed 1st Gen Heli from SAB. Make no mistake, there surely will be plenty of explainable crashes by consumers due to design flaws that SAB will try to wash their hands clean of and deny. This was the case with the originally designed Goblin 700 and the endless boom strikes guys were having because of its flawed design not being well thought out by SAB. When they originally designed The Goblin 700, they failed to leave enough clearance between the top of the boom and the main blades; During mild and hard 3D Flight, where you have some main blade flex, consumers were getting boom strikes endlessly! SAB never owned-up to the flaw, but later redesigned a tail boom that provided more clearance (144mm+?) between the bottom of the main blades and the top of the tail boom. Hobbyists have good memories, we don't forget. I'm on the sidelines spectating rather than a $1,096 REKIT!

      6 String Terror making a video to explain how a potential manufacturing tolerance error could cause a boom strike doesn’t have anything to do with the user comment “consumers were getting book strikes endlessly “. In any case, Synergys are awesome models and Matt is a good friend of mine. Glad to hear you’re supporting him. Goblins are not for everyone.
