94-95 cobras also had the 3rd brake light in the middle of the spoiler. The rest of the sn95s always had it in the deck lid. The clock on the dash went away for the 98 model year.

It is a 94-95 computer friendly cam. Full ehaust and 125 dry nitrous kit. It woke the car up big time! All of the sudden. People stopped laughing. Way better car than a foxbody in my book

There’s a few early 95s, which were produced in the early fall of 94, that had them, but they are rare enough that’s it’s probably safe to assume they’re 94s. I don’t know if they decided to build them like that until supply of the older parts ran out, or what.

If someone ws giving these away 20+ years ago, I would of taken every single last one. The 1997 SN95 Mustang was the last year with the dash clock. 1998 They started the different fuel cell pump, no dash clock, cup holder middle console. SN95s are the most underatted Mustangs of all time. 94 was the 30 year anniversary, indy 500 pace car, motor trend car of the year. Great video, and thank you for covering the unofficially the Mustang era that changed everything

One of the things that made the 94-95 cobras that nobody liked was the ECU. The ECU was different than the GTs. Made it harder to mod. But since Holley came out with Term X and there was Megasquirt, you could really do some much needed modding. Which in my opinion should really make the value jump up a little. But if I can find one for $3k I’m all in. Don’t care how many I have. Very fun cars. I have a 94 cobra myself.

For me, I think it was how they down-rated the GTs and the Cobras really weren't significantly improved with the new body style. Just left a sour taste in my mouth. And then the 4.6 came out. And it wasn't any better in the GTs either. I'm not sure what they were thinking there. Like as if they meant for the GT to become irrelevant.

SN95s are starting to hit their stride in the market. I mean 99-01 cobras were going for the same as GTs 5 years ago. Now they get respectable sales between GT and a terminator. and 94-95 cars are jumping up as people are falling back in love with the pushrod and look elsewhere than foxs. All while kids who grew up on these cars have disposable income now to throw at them.

Boss 429 based on 1/4 mile tests at the time (Car Life Magazine) A Boss 429 did the quarter mile in 14.09 at 103 mph. The Super Stallion is equipped with, get this, a supercharged 5.4-liter four-valve DOHC V-8 engine. Built at Ford's Windsor Ontario plant and modified by SVE, this monster motor produces 590-hp at 6,000 rpm and 497 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,750 rpm. This gives the Super Stallion a top speed of 175 mph, a 0-60 mph time of 4.3 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12.7 seconds @ 112.8 mph! The engine also is capable of flex-fuel operation. It can run on gasoline, alcohol or a combination of the two. The Super Stallion literally was the #1 baddest SN95 Mustang of it's era and or Ford bottomline of it's time to show what the 2000 Cobra R, Lighting, Terminators should have been.

Had a vanilla 95 Cobra back in the day. I "thought" it was fast...it wasn't. Bone stock. Tuners hadn't quite figured out the strategy in the 94-95 to help with mods, and ultimately they got skipped in favor of the 87-93 cars and then the 96+ modmotors. If you had a pushrod SN95 back then, you just had to live with what you had...which had a detrimental effect on how people perceived them. No worries here, I know what they are and what they're capable of, I'm happy they're still kinda cheap and misunderstood.

Personally I always loved the 94/95 Cobras. But I think they were overshadowed in their time for a few reasons:
    1. the 95/95 ECU was a little funky and hard to tune at the time
    2. the SN95 in general weighed more than a still-newish Fox
    3. like you said, the 305 hp 1996+ cars took the air out
But I totally think "their time" is coming soon.

I distinctly recall a pissing contest with some clown that was the "boyfriend" of a girl I had been interested in talking smack about his new SN95 and how it was "so fast" and it was aimed at my then '92 Probe GT which would easily spank the Mustang GT's if that era. Definitely not off the line, the Stang had far better low end torque but the 2-3 shift was a straight up, "fuck off see ya moment" with that PGT every time and they just kept on going after that. Of all the SN95 cars the early horizontal taillights were more catchy to my eyes than the later vertical orientation. I worked with a guy who had a Cobra of that era and asked for my Ford EEC4/OBDI scanner and I finally had to ask for it back a few months later. I'm absolutely Ford Blue through and through, my speedy car of that era after I took a major hit to my driver's quarter by some shitbird clown in a Nissan Maxima doing 50+ mph which twisted that poor car. Eventually I got a '92 Taurus SHO California car which is a 4 door rocketship and already had the SHOSHOP Y pipe upgrade when I got it. Nothing about that car is stock now and it's a blast to drive. Even detuned by Ford to not be competitive against the Mustang it would straight up blow it's doors off. Never hate for the Mustang and I finally landed a Fox platform '81 Mercury Zephyr which is going to be super fun to build. Now it's a competition of which comes first: the Zephyr or the MKIII Toyota Supra(which will get Ford power, possibly a Barra from downunda)

94-98 imo best sn95 body, the new edge gets all the love. As far as the front end and more angular lines I like the new edge's looks a lot but the rear end is where I looses me. It's not the tail lights again looks good it's the bumper and rear valance it's just real plain and not sleek not well thought out in my eyes. But the early sn95 are just sleek and sexy looking and with the right set of wheels and tires are down right tough looking like it's ready to pounce. I will say in stock form all sn95s look terrible with there giant rear quarters and skinny small wheels and tires tucked so far in. The axl should be prob 2 or 3" wider so wouldn't need such a wide wheel to get out there to the lip. I have 18x9 cobra wheels and 265/35r18s and 1.5" spacer and there just barely peeking past the fender lip. Yet on front the same wheels and tires but a 1" spacer and it has bunch of poke. I think it looks cool but there's more poke than rear and lt slings mud down the side terrible! I could remove the spacer and it would still look good but no mud Slinging or spacer anxiety but it looks so damn cool... I can say as problem free the front spacers have been if I was to do any wild driving I would remove them I'm not 100% sold on there strength but I just daily chug it 20 min to work n back around making some noise banging a uneventful gear now n then bumping the system so not concerned. Some day itll screw and it'll just have wide wheels like 18x10.5 dish cobras on all 4 corners no spacers.

Please stop with the bad information. It’s like IDIOTS that say they have a 1964 1/2 mustang. They’re early 65s. No WHERE in Fords records does it say 1964 1/2. Or on the VIN plate. Just saying.
