    Some SN95s were brought to Brazil in 1995/1995. I'm one of the lucky ones who got a Sapphire blue 1994 GT 5.0. Today it only has 23,000 miles on it. A car that gets better every day.

I showed up expecting a POS. The car was immaculate, except for the hood and windshield. Hood wasn't completely lached and flipped up and smashed the windshield. It had 60K on the odometer and still had the new car smell. I fixed it and kept it. 98 cobra brilliant white 5 SPD car. One of the best cars I ever owned.

    The 94-95 Cobra to me was the best of both worlds. Old 5.0 upgrades and the best looking of the SN95. The 96-98 was nice in stock form but hard to work on and not a ton of upgrades unless you go with a power adder.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 6 месяцев назад

      The 4v is not hard to work on and they're pretty reliable. They have all kinds of aftermarket parts for it. You don't need heads factory heads flow killer ecsp ported they make cams for them and you can do a Sullivan intake or a ported short runner stock style intake it's not hard to get over 400 rwhp with a 4v that's pretty good from 281 cubic inches so I wouldn't say not much can be done other than boost although that is a good option too especially if you drop coyote rods and forged pistons in it that's a 600-700 rwhp capable motor on the cheap the crank came forged from factory and the teksid block is the stoutest aluminum block ever put into a Ford product 4.6 wise anyways. It can make as much power with forged internals as a built sleeved coyote.

    When my dad finally put his two boys through 4 years of school he wasn't quite where he wanted to be to get that brand new Corvette however he got a phone call from a friend who I just got onto his used a 3 yr old 1995 but I believe was Pacific green Mustang GT convertible. 5 speed manual relatively loaded for 95 with a beautiful brown leather interior that match the top. The only thing that had been done to the car outside of the factory configuration was some flowmaster mufflers, pipes and headers. He drove that car all summer long everywhere he went taking my mom shotgun. 2 years after getting it he was diagnosed with cancer, 5 years after that he would pass. Having gotten into cars Late in high School I was working on a restoration project of an 85 RX7 I had to sell when does a few months into my marriage I found out we we're pregnant. I say we because I had to sell my car. After my dad had passed my mom gave the Mustang. My family love the hell out of that car. Got to the point where every spring I was pulling it out of storage and having to perform more and more repairs. I've always regretted selling it. I'm now post mid-life and a first year electrical apprentice at 5 years I top out. First word going to be saving and building on our house and as soon as I get a garage I'm going to build a 351 Windsor will a slight overbore (406 maybe honestly idk). Now I'm going to grab another 95 completely gut it and build the 95 with the power plant and the suspension I wished it had

    I have a 94' GT I bought over 20 years ago. Before it I had an 89' notchback, and a friend of mine bought a 94' almost brand new, and he set it up quickly with big wheels, flowmaster exhaust and other goodies. I couldn't help seeing the 4 wheel discs and its more bodacious stance and how the big wheels looked on it that I wanted one. I still have it and I still like it more than my prev. Notchback. I also set mine up with big rims and flowmasters with an H pipe and I still love driving it. Not many around anymore so it is true that you get noticed wherever you go.

    It was the 1987+ Mustang that the Probe (introduced in 1988) was supposed to replace, not the 1994. The 1994 SN95 Mustang (also known as the Fox 4) was the replacement for the ageing 1979-1993 Mustang. Before the SN95, there were talks of a shortened wheelbase 1989+ Thunderbird for the new Mustang, which I thought would have been better than the SN95 because of the independent rear and double wishbone suspension front and back, and being a ridged body style.

      The early 4v is alot better than the old iron 302. They have forged cranks and a stout aluminum block all it needs is forged rods and pistons and you can make big power fairly cheap. Nowadays you can drop on boss rods and it's even cheaper good for 600-700 wheel in a 4.6 4v.

    After years of owning, building, and customizing fox bodies, I bought a '94 SN95 from my older brother who hit a rough patch and needed cash. I did my thang, she was crowned with the name Black Widow, due to the one off paint scheme and big power she was laying down after stroking and charging her. Truly best handling cars, tight and comfortable. Anyway, you're right about being different at shows or meets. I agree, worth their weight and completely interchangeable nuts snd bolts with foxes or new edges.

    Didn’t the Super Stallion run on alcohol as well? It’s been years since I’ve seen anything about it but that seems to come to mind. 🤷🏽‍♂️
    I turned 16 in ‘95 and I was rockin a ‘86 GT but the first time I laid eyes on the sn95 cobras & Saleens, I knew one would be in my future.

    My first car in 2002 was a 94 GT 5 speed. Kept it all through high school and into college. Rebuilt the engine in high school with 10:1 compression, explorer intake, b303 cam. Also did 3.73 gears and sometimes ran drag radials. In todays world it would be a weak car, but early 2000’s it was pretty fast for my small town. I had my ass truly kicked in it twice. One was a 02 trans am firehawk, and the other was a 94 cobra with trick flow heads, cam, intake. Beat several LT1 powered Camaro and trans ams though. Still wish I never would of gotten rid of that car.

    Chevy's production block couldn't hold up, so Chevy had to order a Donovan block. It's was a great read back in the day. I hoped Like hell ford would come out with the big block boss mustang.

    The main problem with these cars is how flimsy they were. They didn't actually have a chassis. It was all stamped sheet metal, and there wasn't enough of it. I have never seen one that wasn't all mangled underneath from jacking and lifting. Ford did not put any lift points under them. Trying to lift from the front "frame rails" would bend them. Even jacking under the K member would bend it. Pretty much the only place you could safely lift them from was the rear axle (at least they did have a solid rear axle) or under the front control arms.
    I have a 2003 "new edge" Zinc Yellow V6 coupe as a daily driver. It came with 16" wheels, which I don't like. I found a nice set of 15" wheels from a '94-'98 for it, so I could use normal sized tires.

    I’m old. That’s my preface to my comments. First mustang was a 89 gt. Next a 93 gt. Finally, got sick of the z28’s 275 hp and did a FI on a 94 gt. The sn95 IMO, handled better and was more ergonomic. But who cares? Speed was the point. Had an opportunity to buy the 95 R, and I still have it!!! 351 no AC or backseats. I tracked it for a while, and now she’s in my garage along a 95 lightning that I still drive. Point is, the sn95 took a lot to stomach with its design. The fox should have offered at least a 351. But to each their own

      @@FoxcastMedia I had a super clean 1988 gt. Cobra wing, Celine body kit with of course, LX bumpers, cobra, tail lights, Vortech, V2, SQ supercharger, GT, 40 heads, GT, 40 headers, GT 40 intake manifold, b303 cam, 70 mm throttlebody and EGR spacer. MSD ignition, 8.5 to 1 pistons, and unfortunately it got stolen before I could ever get it dialed in and properly tuned. The paint and body work were beautiful, it was my first car back in 2000 I saved for half of it took a loan on the other half and I loved it. And somebody stole it. Sad face. I’d kill for that car to be in my possession still. And even had welded frame connectors, koni adjustable, shocks. Seats were reupholstered with the same fabric as a 2001 super duty XLT. I have not one photo of that car unfortunately. I’m getting more and more bummed as I am telling you about this lol it was a clean car. And I like the 327 to one rear end stock transmission.

    Ford wasn't actually going to kill the Mustang name, just put it on a fwd, Mazda based car. The Probe was originally going to be called Mustang until at the last minute they (correctly) decided it was a bad idea. They had even made body panels with "Mustang" embossed in them.
