In this amazing and challenging teaching we are going to look at the Holy Spirit in the early church. This is truly going to challenge you because you will see what the Holy Spirit is really doing in a person who is full of the Spirit! And when you see what the Bible says about it, you will see how deceived the mainstream church is today!
In the Bible, you see that when the Holy Spirit comes over a person, that person truly receives power to become the witness or martyr of Christ! You also see there is power to perform miracles! You see how people were led by the Spirit. You also see that there is fruit of the Spirit in a person's life!
If you have people today who think they have the Holy Spirit but don't have the power, don't have the miracles, don't have the fruit, why believe that they have the Spirit? Because they prayed a prayer? Or because they got baptized as a baby and were told they had the Spirit inside of them? Or even because they speak in tongues?
We encourage you to see this amazing teaching which is part of the series FIGHTING FOR THE TRUE GOSPEL. In this teaching #5, we are going to take you on a journey, and challenge you with what the Word is saying about what it truly is to have received the Holy Spirit and to walk in the fullness of the Spirit!

Just experienced tongues after Jesus anointed me with the Holy Spirit. Spoke about for an hour in Tongues even though I questioned it for a long time. Afterwards I have so much joy and I praise God. Man. I just want to thank THE LORD for preserving you and using you so mightily. I have been watching your videos for some time now and I just love the genuineness of your faith and love for God. I love especially how you do not try to make yourself appear holy but I can see hoe even though you are mature in spirit, you are able to relate to us who are still babes. When one is struggling in their faith, it is beautiful to see people like you share how they were in the same position and when we see were God has put you...it just bring hope. May God preserve you and keep you from stumbling and present you without spot or blemish in the presence of His glory. Amen!
I was taught in my Baptist church that the KJV was the only real bible (no, I no longer believe this) and tongues were ONLY an interpreted language. Thank you for these teachings!! It really has helped. I now speak in tongues and understand ACTS, which was barely taught and I KNEW the real power of the Holy Spirit was missing in church. I NOW KNOW WHAT IT IS: HALLELUJAH!!!!!!

The Holy Spirit gives us all different gifts as he sees fit
We have everything in him.
The gifts manifest as you need them, never assume you don’t have all 9 gifts.
The Holy Spirit is the gift. The Greek word in Acts 2:38 for gift is dorea, and it means gift. For the spiritual gifts that Paul talks about in the epistles is the Greek word charisma, which really means divinely conferred favor or grace. It is what Paul is getting at in 1 Cor 12:4, Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. Everyone who has the gift of the Holy Spirit can receive the favor or grace for miracles, prophecy, tongues, interpretation of tongues, etc. A person who has the gift of the Holy Spirit is not limited to a certain '"gift" because it is the Spirit conferring the "gift", not the believer.

Right....BIG difference between HEAD knowledge and HEART knowledge. I was told the fruit of a Christian is another Christian. My husband and pastor once told me this. That wasn’t what I read in the word. Thank you for this teaching and GOD BLESS YOU!!

ESword, great tool. Torben, thank you. I asked my neighbor if I could preach the gospel to him, the moment I asked, I felt a heavy robe placed upon my shoulders. Now I know what that was, the Holy Spirit had come upon me to let me know this was this man’s moment to receive, but scripturally, now I know he came upon me to give me power to be his witness with boldness. Sadly, the neighbor rejected. I know he died shortly thereafter. It was his opportunity after a life of rejecting and sin, but even with the presence of the Holy Spirit, the demons were strong and his words were “I really wish you wouldn’t” and the scripture about shaking off my sandals came to me and I left. I had prayed for him before this and my prayer was answered, I had the opportunity, but his eternity was already chosen, by him. So awful. Thank you for this teaching. Where can I get that app for your school? I can’t find it.

Before my children and I went to town to do some errands, I prayed last night in a human language (English) and in tongues.
for about 45 min to an hour to lead me to someone He want me to lovingly preach the gospel to. I also prayed today before I left the house, because I want to acknowledge Jesus Christ in all that I do.
I asked the Holy Spirit to guide me and fill me with boldness to proclaim the gospel.
I just witnessed to some transgender people outside of Walmart who were selling some arts and crafts and jewelry in their colorful van from the parking lot as I exited. To be honest, I wasn't planning on talking to them, but as I turned at the stop sign, they were beckoning me to look at their stuff. So, I said to myself and Naomi, Teela, and Isaac that maybe the Holy Ghost wants me to lovingly share the gospel with them.
I asked them about their setup and they explained what it was. Then I proceeded to tell them that God gifted them with the ability to create works of art. Then, I was like, "speaking of the Lord Jesus, what do you think of Him?"
He said that he grew up in a southern Baptist church where they were very judgemental. He said that he isn't "religious" and believed in all religions and practices the golden rule. I proceeded to ask him if he thought he was a good person to which he said, "Absolutely"! I used the 10 commandments/moral law which is written on every one's heart. I told him God is perfect and by Yah's righteous law we are all condemned apart from Christ.
Needless to say, I gave Him the gospel and of who Jesus Christ is, the Most High God, and How He died, buried and was raised from the dead to bring us back to the Father. Anyways, he got all mad when he asked me what I thought of transgenders, because I told him what the Word of Yah says, and continued to harden his heart.
He told me that he didn't like where the conversation was going, because it sounded like I was preaching to him. He said, "If you were a Christian, you wouldn't be preaching to me." This is a classic response and a tactic of the enemy. I lovingly told him that I heard him and would leave but also pray that his eyes would be open to the truth.
Anyways, we prayed for him and his friend (who was listening intently to my words without objecting) that it's not tooo late and, they're not stuck in a reprobate state.
Get this? I didn't realize it was Pride month too until after I left.
During this month of Pride, it's Definitely a spirit of Antichrist to reject the truth and suppress it in unrighteousness. I really loved these individuals with the love of Christ which compelled me to share the gospel and to show mercy NOT judgement. If the guy that got mad at me rejected the gospel of truth, I hope it's not a complete rejection, because I figuratively shook the dust off of my feet as a witness against them.
"If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet."

If I was passing final judgment on those people in the Walmart parking lot with the bus, I would not have stopped to talk them about the gospel as an act of mercy.

But when I went to another store, I was able to share the gospel with a Catholic woman who overheard me asking if I could pray for a man and his injured ankle. The old man with the hurt ankle declined prayer, because he said he already had people praying for him. I told him that we could pray for him too, but he was like," Thank you, but I believe it's going to be alright.." I said, "Well, we will continue praying for your healing without laying hands like how Jesus healed the centurion's slave without Jesus coming to his house. I went on to ask if he was born again through true repentance and baptism to Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit. He said yes, but didn't understand. He couldn't remember when he was baptized immersed, but wasn't filled with the Holy Ghost. Anyway, I exhorted the 82 year old man to read Jesus word to see what I speak is the truth. However, the woman recieved my words and the Bible tract. God is great! I am blessed to pray for her, and that the Holy Ghost will send other laborers to water the seed, but God will give the increase!

Just to confirm the word Martyr, I see that Peter here is saying if you suffer for the name of Jesus be happy because you have the Spirit of God! These two things are somehow tied, suffering for the name of Jesus and having the Holy Spirit

It's very good brother. Holy Spirit is our best friend forever. Other than the 7 gifts and 9 fruits of the Spirit, the helper should help us to come closer to God, to know God intimately and strengthen us. In our growing in Christ, the helper, or the Holy Spirit should lead us gentiles to the kingdom. Like in Jeremiah 31:33, the new covenant is God will write His Torah on our hearts comparing to the old covenant, on the stone. He'll remember our sins no more because the redemption work of Christ. The Holy spirit will make us holy by God's standard ruled out in His loving instructions. Peter quoted from Leviticus when he said "be ye holy for I Am holy". Its a reference to how to be holy instructed by God to Moses. For the writings of Moses were still being preach on every sabbath in ever synagogue after Christ ascended into heaven mentioned by James in Acts 15. Those synagogues were also welcoming gentiles new converts who learned from preaching from the Old Testament. So as modern gentiles nowadays in our growing in Christ, how would you understand the role of God's Spirit in writing the Torah on our heart? Will the Spirit lead us away from doing the law of God? How is it?

I have the Holy Ghost..but Ive been disabled 8 years. My wife says l do not have the HG or salvation.
Jesus gives you salvation not your wife. If you believe and trust Jesus then you are saved. Your disability doesn't define you.

Why don't see the holy spirit working in them...I am pondering about Roman 10 The Hearer... Another scripture those who fell away to their own without roots.? I pondering my own conviction and those who broke away for example as former Jehovah witness..it founder tez Russell I believe he was Presbyterian did blasphemy the holy spirit? I don't know ... I know it was all about studying books a whole year before the coming witness not for the forgiveness of sin not being baptized in the name of Jesus. I stopped at 47:45. Journey and I'm afraid I might make the same mistakes and just pray and revelation will come soon I don't want to that seed that gladly recieve the cares of life choke life out the plant.

He, Jesus Christ the Son of the living God, lived a perfect life, shed His blood, laid down His life, was crucified on a tree, died and was buried for three days. Jesus Christ was the perfect and final sacrifice for the sins of the world. In His death and resurrection He, Jesus Christ defeated sin, death, set the captives free and all things have been placed under Jesus Christ feet! For those who are in Christ Jesus are free.
Romans 8:1-4 KJV
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Belief and faith in Jesus Christ and what He has accomplished is all that one needs to be born again into the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life!

He is the promised Messiah of scripture, King of God's Kingdom, who will soon return to establish his rule. He is the Lamb who entered our world over 2,000 years ago and was slaughtered to save us from our sins. He is the Prince of Peace who will establish peace in the land forever. He is Lord of Lord's who has power even over king death, for he beat death rose again and now sits at the right hand of God as he awaits for the Father to humble his enemies under his feet. Turn away from the sin that is dark, futile, fruitless, and that easily entangles and turn to Jesus, learn from him and let him give you peace. Repent for the Kingdom is at hand! Hallelujah! 🙌
Seems to me like several descriptive texts are claimed to be prescriptive in this video. A fundamental error.

Are you baptist? I know you think Acts is just descriptive. But I have a question for you. Do demons enter to people? How a Cristian should cast them out? Do you do it?
@@TheLastReformation google the terms, then read the Bible more carefully. What happens to one person dose not mean the same will happen to you, unless the text sais so. The Spirit is the same, but that dose not mean he will allways do everything the same way.
@@Rocketos Best way to be free from demons is to become a christian. The Holy spirit dose not share his temple with demons. Otherwise, if the house is clean the demon will return with 7 more.

You were talking about a particular case of a man who is in sin and yet seeming to perform the works of God; I was thinking about this myself and the case of Balaam came to mind; no doubt Balaam at the beginning sort after God, but at some point he went off track, yet he could still perform miracles because he new the power of God and the reality of the spiritual world. He had faith but lacked virtue

@@c.m.soleta3926 I should have clarified my remark. I was responding to the comments made in the video relating to someone presently on RUclips with a big following, seemingly performing miracles, casting out devil's etc, yet he is living in sin. It reminded me of Balaam.

Sometimes I believe the Lord uses a person in sin, like Balaam or the person with the RUclips following, not for their benefit but for the benefit of the people being ministered to. God can use all things for good for those who are called according to His purposes. If the Holy Spirit is really dwelling in a believer, they will sooner or later recognize the sin in the person and move on.
