This is true, but there are theatrics in many cultures that are stronger than others.
My experience is, whether on trial or not, people of other countries who come to America, sometimes, use their accent to get attention or manipulate.

I followed this trial all those days now- it really is disgusting for me to see MT not taking the stand, not taking responsibility for any of her actions. Life of another person has no value for her, she accepts the death of another person, a mother of 5 innocent children. And in the end she pretends not understanding English👎👎🤮🤮🤮🤮
Um, guilty or not guilty taking the stand is almost NEVER a wise move by any defendant. I don't see why being halfway intelligent, or heading the advice of everyone in the legal community, "disgusts you." If that disgusts you, you have a very privileged life.

MT's "Friend" certainly lost all credibility on the stand during the State's cross examination. Essentially, the witness refused to cooperate with the police investigation, despite claiming she had information that would "help" Michelle Troconis. Her actions make absolutely NO SENSE, IF she TRULY had exculpatory evidence to prove MT's innocence!! Any rationale person with relevant information that could prevent their friend from going to jail, would independently contact the police and agree to cooperate.

MT maybe bilingual but she certainly seemed to speak English fluently enough to make several nasty marks about Jennifer. There’s nothing wrong with her cognitive ability. She knows exactly what she was doing and saying.

The prosecution can destroy you either way, so most people choose not to testify.
The great majority of accused people do not testify, regardless of guilt.

At the very least, she had to know what Fotis was doing when they drove to different garbage bins to dump bags in. She had to have known that something wasn't right. There is also proof that she hated Jennifer. Saying that she should be buried with the dog. That is pretty evil.

her profession as a Professor means absolutely nothing, she might be a terrible Professor, does she have legitimate references? I worked in University for 20 years, I also have a Degree, my experience in studies and work life is that some lecturers are fantastic, hardworking, passionate people, others do the bare minimum and wouldn't know how to use a photocopier, or pretend not because they're too lazy to do the work themselves, and then there's those who probably got there Degrees with the help of their children, partners, or paid someone to do their assignments for them, it's astonishing how a wide range of people we have across many professions, there are good and bad in every Profession. Until you work with someone or can get genuine references of former work experience I would not put any weight on their Degrees including this woman.
I honestly thought that the Defense was doing a pretty good job poking holes through the State's case, but the Defense's case is very weak. Not much added with these witnesses. I am looking forward to seeing both parties closing arguments!

The testimonies of defenses' memory and linguist experts, while appearing very knowledgeable in their fields, are totally useless in this case because neither applied their expertise to an analysis of the defendant. Both testimonies are useless and have zero probative value in this case.

Okay we’ll yesterday I had a huge problem with the first doctor and her professional speaking and being an expert in memory and couldn’t remember many important issues along with her own past experience. Today I have to say I’m impressed with this doctor. She explains in a manner that makes sense. I believe she may help Michelle’s understanding while being questioned by the police. I just want to see justice for Jennifer and her mother and children, so if she’s been thrown under the bus by Fotis or she was compliant with hurting Jennifer doesn’t matter to me as long as justice is served on earth. Because we know Fotis is where he belongs. Edit:Edit: woow I spoke or written before I seeing the cross holy moly did I ever open mouth and insert foot!!! This is all grasping for air! I was in a relationship with a person who was just like FD. And I was clueless about all the crap he was doing. When some things seemed weird to me he always found a way to convince me that I was paranoid or what not. Regardless of my personal feelings towards MT, I really can believe she is not guilty. She definitely lied trying to defend her boy friend in the beginning. And that is normal for human being to do - defend loved ones or those you are dependent on.
Males will ALWAYS make you second guess yourself and doubt your judgment. Ladies, you are blessed with intuition unlike the male, don't ignore it!

My father always told me English is backward! He is from Mexico, and Spanish is his native language. Taking that into consideration, it is possible to speak English and still be confused with word placement and the meaning of certain English words. Mixing all of that with never being in trouble to all of a sudden you're being interviewed by a room full of police detective telling you you're lying, you were involved in a murder, your kid will be taken away, etc.. THE STATE HASN'T PROVEN ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE HUSBAND KILLED HIS WIFE

The two witnesses who come from other cultures and languages demonstrate the problem with interviewing someone the way it is done here and shows how everything can get skewed. I am someone who is quite conservative and usually side with prosecution viewpoints, but this whole case stinks. It is a way to blame someone for what Fotis did because he is not here to pay the price for his actions. I can't imagine a middle class defendant in CA being charged with this. Obstruction and after the fact actions (probably done out of fear) yes, but conspiracy to murder....... and no one wants to mention how powerful the Farber family is. I grieve for them, but a prosecution like this is not the answer.

No there's evidence right from the beginning that she is involved She was waning in the wings at the home answering the phone and then running around with cleaning supplies when he got back never mind all her lies The burning into fireplace but mainly in most of all her DNA on that evidence bag with Jennifer's blood in it has sealed her fate they just have to finish the trial before they decide how long they're going to lock her up

Why would they blame someone else when they have the people that helped cover up and provide alibis for the murderer? He might not be here but cleaning up after murder, getting rid of evidence and providing false alibis are against the law, but I'm sure if she helped someone kill your mother or wife it'd be no big deal eh? She's not the only one that helped fotis and she's not the only one facing charges, although I'd say most of us with critical thinking skills have seen more than enough evidence that she guilty, I haven't seen the case against the lawyer yet, but hey maybe these memory experts are going COMPLETELY clear up her constantly changing story and of course everything she did that we were able to see on video😂
