Andrew with his base ingredients, Sean with his cooking tools, and Inga with her condiments. Awesome!
They're stealing Beryl Shereshewkys ideas. Not awesome.
@@wearingyrsmell9239 how? i looked at her channel and don’t see any similarities
@@reverently Beryl looks for recipes around a theme ingredient from her community around the world and cooks those dishes. This channel is ripping her off.
@@sarahs.7211 plenty of people ask their subscribers and viewers for ideas concerning their content. Its not an original concept
What is better than mayo is crediting people that you get inspiration from, highly recommend. It makes being a human being that much tasty ❤️
This.
Which ideas did they steal?
@@lavenderfield2946 stealing from berryl
@@lavenderfield2946 In their community posts they announced a new show where they will cook International food on a theme while featuring submitted videos of people introducing their country's dish. This is the exact model of Beryl Shereshewsky's channel which has been running for years. ATE is still run by buzzfeed. When she pointed this out they threw lawyers at her.
Yep!!! 100%
For the mayonneggs, homemade mayo with good eggs comes out much more yellow, so it wouldn't lighten up your scramble as much
I added mayo to scrambled eggs for the first time a couple of years ago, after I saw it on a Japanese cooking channel. I do really like it. My go-to use for mayonnaise nowadays is a bowl of rice with tuna and mayo
I used to do this when I was body building cos macros are great, not sure why I stopped as it is still super tasty
yea jay you need it right here
@@littletyke76 what are macros? Is it just like the added calories you get by adding the mayo to scrambled eggs? Or the rice and tuna?
I stand with Beryl
Who is beryl?
Please do something with miso or gojuchang!
It makes a lot of sense when you realize what ingredients are in mayo
I’m here in support if Beryl’s channel. Buzzfeed is now getting known for knocking off content ideas from other channels. Good job.
Justice for Beryl
what happend?
I heartily recommend making your own mayo if you have a stick blender. I used America’s Test Kitchen’s recipe and it’s amazing and so easy.
waiting for the day you try greek yogurt just so i can steal ideas
I just tried using mayo to marinate chicken breast after watching this, and HOLY CROW this is the juiciest chicken breast I've ever made! Thank you Inga!
Y’all damn well know this video idea didn’t come from y’all . Weird
Love Beryl's content. Don't love those who steal content. Not cool.
Agreed!!!
Yepp what ATE did/ buzzfeed did was super not okay. Like not only did you steal a smaller creators content, you didn’t credit them or compensate them, and you literally sent lawyers after her when she confronted you about stealing her work. Overall just deeply unprofessional, scummy and ruins any creditability. Like now I’m gonna always question if their doing this to other peoples content when they introduce something on ATE.
@@lavendermenace8078 what happened?
@@HeyItsJono ATE/Buzzfeed have stolen creative content idea from fellow YT vlogger Beryl Shereshewsky - obviously super low moral standards held by this organisation 🤨🤨
these videos always never fail to brighten my day!
Thank you for doing a condiment series, I would love to see common condiments used by other countries.
I love Beryl!!!!!!!
Absolutely love watching her cook 🥰
Learned some tips as always. I recently added mayo to my cornbread mix and it literally was the best corn bread I have had! Mayo can really be a secret weapon!
You can use mayo instead of butter for a lot of simple things. Try a grilled cheese, but instead of buttering the bread mayo it.
This is my go-to
I'm not the biggest fan of mayo, but it worked great when I made grilled cheese. The secret is to spread a very thin amount on the bread so it doesn't taste like mayo.
cant wait for this series because there are countless of foods you can make with a variety of condiments!!
I've been subbing mayo in brownies and cake for YEARS. It makes the result so much more moist
i learned so much from this video, thank you Inga! definitely gonna try some of these
Seriously awesome video, thanks Inga!
as an uruguayan...im so proud of that first meal...is a must in our chicken mayo and chimichurri!!! so good
i didn’t like the taste of mayo at first but now i love it. and it still sounds weird to add mayo to things like cakes, ramen, etc, but when i remind myself mayo is oil and eggs basically, ingredients that we already usually add to cakes and ramen lol
I love this idea!
This is SOOOOOO USEFUL!
Awesome and looks so yummy! Thanks for sharing! Have a great day
WOW!!! A RUclips chef that’s NOT an ego maniac!! Cheers 🥂
This was a truly eye opening video, I'm already pro-mayo but this has added a whole new level
My mother once baked a cake with mayo. She found the recipe in a magazin from a small town in poland where citizens could write their favorite recipes. It tasted pretty good! ☀️
This lighting is 👌🏻
Love this video so much
I'm convinced on the flavour end of things, but kinda curious whether there'll be a difference between storebought versus homemade. Storebought would have stabilisers that prevent the emulsion from breaking and I'm wondering how much that would affect the cake and the tempura batter.
Kewpie Mayo is my go to mayo. Soooo good and the closest I have ever had to homemade..
The combination of chimichurri and mayonnaise that you made reminded me of a type of sandwich that is very popular in my country (Argentina) and neighboring countries. It's called choripán, it's bread with chorizo and sauces of your choice. The most common combination is chimichurri and mayonnaise. In my city (Córdoba) there is a choripan festival, which is also a competition. The best choripan is chosen.
loving this series
This is so helpful. 🙌
I have that same Dutch oven! Next time you caramelize onions, try them in that-the lid is key with the way it retains and redistributes moisture. Anyway, with high heat it takes only like 20-30 minutes to full jammy consistency!
Not mayo related, but recipe 2 is how I do cornish hens. Little bit of olive oil on onion, bell pepper and yellow squash, season those with salt, pepper, paprika and few cloves of thin sliced garlic. Put rack over that, sit 2 hens (since that's usually how many people I cook for) on the rack and roast them. The drippings make the veggies almost the perfect texture and adds a lot of flavor.
in a non-stick pan I'll put a burger spread on the buns and toast/fry the sauce into the buns... It's this weird hybrid of being a sauce, but also being part of the bread. It's almost like how when you pour extra egg over your french toast because it's the last one being made.
Damn, every single one of those dishes looked delicious. Mayo... the miracle condiment
j don’t like mayo’s flavor as a condiment usually but now i want to keep some in my fridge because this tackles a few of the different cooking issues i have omg!
Kewpie works the same and just as well too! Great tip!
Wow you look amazing!
Oooh the fries look delicious I’ll have to try that trick
JUSTICE FOR BERYL.
If you don't like the taste of mayonnaise, try making your own. You really wouldn't think it but homemade mayonnaise tastes a lot better compared to the store-bought products. If you use a stick blender and a measuring cup you can't fail, and it takes less than 5 min to make. You can also experiment with the taste by adding applecider-vinegar or mustard to enhance the flavour.
Great job
I could eat mayo with a spoon. 🤤 Great video!
I do the mayo in turkey burgers! It helps alot
Cool
I used to be like Inga: I hated mayo for a long time. That being said, I have been able to use mayo in a bunch of recipes, especially in adding a creaminess to sauces. It’s getting to a point where I want to make my own homemade mayo, because I’ve heard that most people who don’t like mayo have never had the homemade kind. So, fingers crossed that it goes well; wish me luck.
One thing I would've done is a breading (where mayo is the "wet" to get the breadcrumbs to stick.
It's one of my favourite go-to's when I bread something (like drumsticks, or zucchini...)
Good one Inga!
Mayo is life!
I am forever team mayo in mashed potatoes!! Sometimes I even mash up a hard boiled egg in it which sounds crazy but is SO delicious I promise!
Wow, Babish, About to Eat, and Food52 really all put out mayo cake videos at the same time lol
Mayo is the bomb especially on burgers with onion and tomato, blts, grilled cheese with dijon mustard. its also the best with candied walnut crispy shrimp a Cantonese favorite.
Mayo is the universal sandwich lubricant... Mix with tuna and hot sauce or with egg and curry powder... Yum!
Looove mayo but my fave condiment will always be german sweet mustard!
Ngl, this made me hungry.
Thank you for this! I have so much mayo sitting at home right now XD
Go to Beryl Shereshewsky. This channel copied her content.
Kewpie ftw.
I love mayonnaise. Heirloom tomato, mayo, fresh basil, spinach , and a fried egg. Cuz I am weird.
When I was a Director of a large day care, my cook made grilled cheese with mayo. We had 120 children with 1 cook so grilling each sandwich wasn't reasonable. She spread mayo on the outside bread with cheese inside, laid made sandwiches into shallow large sheet pans, baked in the oven flipping once. They were delicious. I personally make grilled cheese with mayo ever since!
I heard “martabak manis” and i love you even more
I LOVE MAYO SO MUCH
BERYL BERYL BERYL BERYL BERYL
Love this vid! Would also love to see you using kewpie mayo to make Asian or fusion dishes! I think many of us Asians would agree that kewpie mayo is much more tasty, tangy & savoury than the usual Americans mayo.
what kind of pan did you use for the soft scramble eggs??? I see this pan often in your videos and it seems great!
Greek yoghurt is also a great substitue for mayo in all dishes you created!
I love mayo, it's definitely my go-to condiment. I don't care for the meat portions of this as I'm vegetarian but yea definitely mayo is my in jam always ❤️
Yummmmmm
My family has a always used Mayo for mash potatoes so I definitely was surprised to learn it was not the common way to prepare them. 😂
i always add mayo on my scrable eggs i love it on my toast
Liking even though I can't stand mayo because I love Inga no matter what she cooks with 😂
ok funny, i actually make like really soft scrambled eggs with kewpie mayo mixed in the egg mixture. I love it lots. I eat it with rice, I eat it on its own, its wonderful. You know how Gordon's scrambled eggs are like super soft? Yea that soft one is good.
Mayo, Tabasco, chopped pickles, celery, water chestnuts, shredded cabbage main ingredient sandwich 😁
So the crazy thing is that I used mayo one time with tempura batter on a whim and I’ve been using it as a binder ever since
This was pretty interesting to me as I am not a giant fan of mayonnaise either, but some of those unusual ways of using it looked tasty. Might have to try the chicken marinade. I tried mayo in mashed potatoes once and really didn't like it.
Please give credit for your inspiration where credit is due. It's only fair
Hellmann's Mayo is a godsend. I use it in almost everything. It tastes great.
I’m convinced the Lemon juice and powdered sugar trick was actually magic.
Heree!!!
I really don’t like non Asian style mayo, which I’m sure comes from growing up on Kewpie, and my first experience with western style mayonnaise being a horrible racist teacher when I was in kindergarten, but I just never developed a liking for it. So I was really glad to see a Kewpie recipe, and one that I use quite a lot! Would love to see a video like this where you used only Kewpie/Asian mayo, just to see the difference in results?
That burger has me dreaming... mmmmmmmmmmmm burger
Get your morals in check Inga. Don’t work for a company that steals content from small creators then sends their lawyers after those creators when they are called out for being terrible. Are you terrible too?
I've seen greek yogurt put on chicken before searing/roasting but I never thought to put mayo.
I hate store-bought North American mayo with a passion. At the same time, I unabashedly eat Kewpie mayo out of the bottle. I put Kewpie mayo on EVERYTHING. KEWPIE MAYO IS LIFE
I love mayo
Is it just me who likes mixing mayo into the eggs while making an omlette?? It tastes fluffy ngl
First of all, start with good mayo. Original Hellman’s (not the organic, it’s got a weird funk) or homemade. Thanks for another good video!
Try mayo in oil based hot sauces, like a chili crisp, before they cool down
kind skeptical but worth to try
For Mayonnaise - Dukes FTW!
Please do kewpie mayo!
I wonder what would happen if you add mayo to dumpling fillings? Dumpling recipes already call for adding eggs and oil, but would having those two emulsified together first make a difference?
Take those mayo potatoes and form patties and shallow fry them 🤤
