    2:17.Its only when you see the moon this clearly you can see that the moon is not giving off it's own light but that the sun is shining on it. The light- to-dark cut beautifully shows the part of the moon the sun is not reaching. Thank you for this shot.

    I'm guessing you have a 1000mm Aperture or larger? I don't know much about them (telescopes in general) other than the one cheap reflect one that was decent I purchased some decades ago.
    I'm more of a camera person. I guess there are mirror-less ones now in the prosumer market. Yet, honestly, if you purchase a 4k with high optical zoom lens online.. I saw a 32x optical with 4k for less than 600 USD on Amazon. point being, sure it's only 32x but the pixlation can be zoomed in or digitally-cropped post edit software and see way closer in much more detail than the naked eye sees through the lens of the telescope.
    and if' you're attaching a camera to the one you have I would imagine you would get way closer than this with very sharp images. that's for anyone who doesn't have the space as the host of this channel has on his roof.
    also remember that 1000mm is not 1000x. there is a formula. the refractor come in mm with different aspect ratio.. just as cameras do. the reflector models are measured by times. but they're darker. you lose so much light in them even though a 400x reflector might be about the same in optical zoom as a 1000mm refract (Not sure how the formula works in measurements). but this telescope being a refract brings more light in. That's what makes it superior to view. I would love to purchase a 8k video camcorder with 100x optical zoom capability not just on the pro-summer level but eventually just out of box, off the shelf for under 500. I give it 4-5 more years and the focal point of a optic zoom at 100x with a crop in of 8k to a fraction of the grid anywhere on the frame (with anti-shake post editing) will result in a higher resolution than this device is giving. just not in real time. though some higher end cameras also have a digital filter zoombuilt in- to hold in real time, which is basically the same as doing it yourself in post editing. not far off. you could rig it up to a 4k or 8k projector on a screen in your backyard and allow your friends to watch while having a BBQ. of course it will be best viewing during winter months. bring a jacket. or project in your living room in real time with a tracker that you just tap the LED monitor to track a planet on the video while the tripod tracker follows it. You can do this now if you drop the bucks for it. Only it kind of takes away the experience of on hands .. especially with kids.

      Hello friend, I'm an amateur astronomer from France. If you are looking for a decent telescope for a moderate price, I can suggest the Skywatcher 130/900 EQ2 (around 230€) or its little brother the Skywatcher 114/900 EQ1 (around 199€). You can also find them on the occasion market (they are very common). They are both sold with 2 eyepieces (25mm and 10mm) and a Barlow lense 2X which is perfect to start.

    • @marcbazot2740
      @marcbazot2740 6 лет назад +22

      Zooms don't "close" the distance, it makes things look bigger. So, at the same zoom, a 60.000 km gaz giant 1.000.000.000 km away will look as big as a 24 km crater 400.000 km away. Most of the craters we see on the Moon are in the 10-100 km range (Tycho, the most distinctive one, is about 100km wide)

      The only dumb people are the people who believe authority. UFOs exist just ask your president. They come from another realm because deep space is a deception and does not exist in a physical state. In deep underground military bases they work on secret technology with these entities but that's a theory right? Go back to work to make cloth while real big boys make advancements

    • @llavero5
      @llavero5 6 лет назад +5

      Why deep underground? ah! because this makes the story more mysterious, well, now make your own movie.

    • @Fiona-hp4mw
      @Fiona-hp4mw 6 лет назад

      XXX GAMES What do you mean deep space is a deception? It seems to me that everything we see must be a deception because no sound, colour, shape exists without a human to see it and the very best, most clever scientists who are not cowardly (very few are not. The rest are too afraid to contradict the status quo no matter how ridiculous it is. Just pretend the emperor is wearing clothes etc) say that the egocentricity of the baby is actually the correct world view e.g. only what you see exists and even then what you see is not really there at all.. all just a dream.. so then the question: what is reality if it is not what we see and who is behind it? I only hope it is a benevolence because otherwise it's just trash, evil has no value, has no point and is self destructive anyway

      "I have seen people using Nikon P900 extreme zoom level to give better close look on Moon"
      The P900 will never give a closer view than a telescope of this focal length and a short focal length eyepiece. Also, the P900 cannot resolve detail anywhere near what a telescope of this aperture can, especially if it's paired with a high resolution camera.

    • @Martin-oj5jg
      @Martin-oj5jg 6 лет назад

      Anthony Rodemus i saw a video where someone used P1000 and its was 1000 times better that this...perfect quality and even like "closer" i guess you could see detailed craters

    • @Teeb2023
      @Teeb2023 6 лет назад

      1000 times better. Really? Is that a scientific evaluation? If you'd read what I wrote, I specifically mentioned the use of a short focal length eyepiece which would give way more magnification than the P1000 at its greatest zoom. Unless you've actually used proper astronomical equipment to photograph the Moon, you're not really in the position to say the P1000 is "better". Don't get me wrong, the P1000 is a remarkable camera, at least in terms of it being a consumer-grade device, but the resolution of even a medium focal length apochromatic refractor, paired with a Televue powermate and CCD camera will beat the P1000 in terms of sharpness every time. RUclips videos are not a valid medium for measuring image sharpness.
