    1:19 I love the way the Silverback tugs at his son. I can almost imagine him saying "Come on, Junior. Don't bother the human."
    I love Gorillas, man. They're so flipping cool.

    was he in danger? i assume he was not trying to make eye contact with any of them... i am guessing eye contact is a big no no but what about movement?

    • @AirLanMan
      @AirLanMan 3 года назад

      You wouldn't want to make any sudden movements. With the young gorillas present and dad right behind a sudden movement could cause the big male gorilla to go into a defensive mode at which time the man would have had about 30 seconds to consider what being a whole human being meant to him because his hands and likely feet would have been attacked instantly with a single bite into the palm and a quick jerk of the head taking off most of the fingers and/or toes and then probably right as the man realized what was happening the big male would have instinctively attacked humans genitals in the same manner and then a good 'ol face mauling would come next and this would have been just the first 15 seconds or so. Google St. James Davis. He was attacked by two chimps while visiting the one he and his wife raised in an animal sanctuary. He had his eye gouged out and had his fingers, testicles, buttocks, nose, and most of his face eaten. As far as primate go we humans don't fare well against most of our cousins.

    It's the same when human children come across a cat. The parents allow the children to examine the cat and play with it. The adults stand back and observe just to make sure the kids don't hurt the cat and the cat doesn't hurt the kids. That's what's going on here. The older gorillas are standing back allowing the baby gorillas to examine the human.
