US Pro Skier Kyle Smaine Dies In Avalanche in Japan

- Kyle Smaine, a U.S. World Champion freestyler skier from Lake Tahoe, California, has died following an avalanche in Japan. Another skier from Austria also died, and several others were swept up in the avalanche. The 31-year-old professional athlete was in Japan on a marketing trip and had been posting about the visit on Instagram. Kyle’s wife, Jenna Dramise, confirmed his death in a touching post. This is a real tragedy! My heartfelt condolences to all of his "family members." As a skier, I have followed him from time to time and often marveled at his God-given skills. He was a class act through and through. I am so very sorry for your grave loss.

He tragically died from the violent avalanche at the young age. He should’ve get more potential to win in snowboarding competition.
I was there snowboarding but only on the green zones, I couldn't see 5 meters ahead of me and when I got back to my hotel dude was like "気をつけて二人がしんでしましたよ。" basically 2 people died, and then he told me it was a ski champion and I was SHOOK.
So sad😢
Dying in an avalanche is usually a slow suffocation death horrible way to die for a 31 year old :(

Used to surf a lot alone when younger and my mum always would say don't it's too dangerous. Always laughed it off said every time at least I would have died doing what I love. We all need to get out there and do what we love! RIP
