How incredibly sad! Condolences to his wife and family!
So many people dying ..
So many young people!
True
I know!
Too many
Frc
Losing so many so young especially now that we are supposed to live longer it's sad. God bless him n his family. The great dying young we need a change. Losing a lot of them to tragedy.
Young people aren't dying at higher rates now than in previous history. In fact people are living longer and this was just an act of nature. Still it is a tragedy and RIP to the skier.
RIP from Japan 😢
which range got him? was it Nagano or Hokkaido?
My son is ski patrol & an avalanche expert. I worry constantly.
You never really know when it's your time to go RIP Kyle you will be missed🙏🏾❤
Lo siento mucho Kyle. Descansa en paz. Gracias por tu aportación al mundo del snowboard. Lo siento de corazón.
My ❤️ goes out to Kyle's wife , family, and friends. Better to live life while we have it , and go as big as we can , in all that we do !
So heart breaking! ❤️🙏🏻
I want to suggest to Skiers of all different Disciplines that are winding down their Competitive to give Ski Mountaineering a try. The adherent Dangers of Climbing up a Mountain (or using Skins) then Skiing back down are mostly taken care of such as Avalanche Control. Go ISMF!
Prayers to many gone so sad
God Bless
So sad 😭 😭😭😭
That place was ordinary backcountry of leisure course. Temperature was normal. Simply He was unlucky.... R.I.P.
*What causes an avalanche and how do you survive one?* ❄️
This avalanche was caused by another group of riders. They happen when there’s a lot of fresh snow that hasn’t set (packed in) & the snow is disturbed (someone riding it).
Wearing an avalanche air bag significantly increase the chance of survival.
If you get buried, you’re not getting yourself out. It sets like cement. You have to be wearing an avalanche beacon & hope your friends are able to find you & dig you out in time.
Best bet is to stay calm (can’t imagine that would be easy) and try to preserve your oxygen while waiting for rescue.
The photographer the skier was with was also buried & was uncovered after 25 minutes - miraculously he was fine.
RIP
sad, R.I.P

I feel like they might lost their way and the weather was so bad. It’s so sorry for his family and friends.

How wonderful it would be to live in Japan
But maybe not die while doing it
Good riddance ( faux noose)
He was very handsome.
Nature hunting the occupier.
Thats exactly why I will never go skiing...its just a pointless risk for ego and adrenaline.
Mr. Smaine should have skied in Maine.
Killed by snow, lol.
Lol? what's so funny about that?
Or you just 6 years old?
日本人のせいで死んでしまいました。申し訳ございません。
