- The cicada emergence is here. And Josh Wicker from South Carolina says we shouldn’t fear them. Instead, we should eat them. Which is what he and his friends did during a classy insect-themed dinner party. Josh has a degree in biology with an emphasis in wildlife behavior, so he knows and loves all things critters. “Nature is a beautiful thing to observe. But when you can experience it, it's just that much cooler,” he told Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall.

Especially I eat cicadas. It is because in our tribe aka dusun tribe in Sabah Malaysia it is was our traditional foods and we like to eat them. The taste of the cicada can taste like grasshopper because we eat grasshopper too.I have eaten grasshopper before. The way we eat it is by frying the cicadas. By the way, almost in people in Sabah Malaysia like to eat cicadas and our ancestors and elder says it good to eat cicadas because they good for health .
They prepare those cicadas into into small wafers and give it a cool name.

Dry them, grind them and make them into flour, then make them protein chips, I have no issue eating bugs but when the legs, wings and other bits start getting stuck it gets annoying.
