Vacationers Spot Sharks in Water While Parasailing

- Three best friends parasailing during a Florida vacation were having a good time until they saw something in the water. They were about 300 feet in the air when they spotted sharks in the water. They started screaming as loud as they could, fearing they were about to be dropped into the shark-infested waters. Fortunately, they all made it safely back to land. The incident happened five years ago, but video of it has only now been posted on social media. Inside Edition’s Alison Hall has more.
"There's sharks in the water, oh no, let me splash like an injured seal"...
😂😂
LOL 😂
I was thinking the same thing
Ahahahh 😂😂😂🤣
Excatly what I was thinking lmao
News flash : sharks live in the ocean

If youre ever in a situation like this dont ever splash water like theyre doing, youre basically calling them by splashing around you're just going to encourage the sharks interest and they might think youre an injured animal
Common sense isn't so common
@cteenie24 oh shut up in a situation like that you won't be thinking about that
Yes, it is hilarious to see them doing exactly what attracts sharks to them.
It is funny that the US Navy actually used to teach sailors to thrash the water to keep sharks away, which had the complete opposite effect. Sadly, many sailors were killed because if that flawed training.
That's what I thought too, but in the midst of a frightening situation it's very hard to think properly for many people, I don't know what I would do and I've watched discovery channel and nat geo since I was young 😅
Women
Sharks: wait, guys lots of splashing over there! Let's check it out.
😭😭
😂
Exactly what I was thinking. 😂 That's definitely gonna get the sharks attention!
Lmfao
While it's true that splashing attracts the sharks, if they didn't splash and shout then the men at the boat wouldn't know that the girls were in danger. So splashing probably saved their lives as they alerted the others and were lifted up again.
If I ever go paragliding, I’m getting radios
Exactly 👍💯🤣
💯
I was just going to comment; it makes sense to have ear pieces to communicate with one another. Why has no one thought of that?
Nahhh get an iPod, better for listening to music than a radio 📻

Weird that they random brought that up. What a reach
@@scorpiocara6798 They brought it up because viewers might wonder why the girls would say that the video is like a tribute to their friend.
@@Oathkeeper01 uhhhh the girls said that after they brought it up lol

They're screaming was absolutely annoying..... BUT it's so HEARTBREAKING to hear that the one girl had lost her life in a car accident!!😢

i would be screaming like that too. i don’t blame them, it was a scary incident

You're way more likely to die in a car accident than get eaten by a shark, as clearly evidenced here.
By a sober person not a person on weed
if you would swim with sharks as often as driving it would happen a lot more often... 😂
@@domas_dulba What's "the it" and why would "the it" happen more often?
True. Man-eating sharks don't always attack humans. IF... those sharks were man-eaters, those girls were only putting themselves in greater danger by panicking and kicking the water. Splashing motions attract sharks. I know they were scared but in a sitaution like that, you've got to remain calm.
Wow. What an ironic way to see that.
Is it wrong that I was laughing when their feet went into the water
They really thought they could stop a shark by kicking it in the face😂
No the video is weird to post on here it's dumb
Yes, it is.
Yes
I laughed a bit too. Because the LAST thing you want to do is screech and splash. 😂😂 and I’m a woman it’s freaking hilarious
RIP to the young lady that passed. Condolences to her family and friends. 💗
Yes, let's remember Chloe as she lived, screaming in terror at the threat of being eaten alivs by a shark.
Sharks brought napkins and were excited to see them descend lower and lower as they prepared their human being buffet table...... 🦈😅 🦈
😂😂😂😂
Unfortunately sharks don’t eat people
Sharks have no interest in humans
@@Confuzedtoe666And I don't harpoon sharks in the face for fun
They live there....but I'd have been terrified too.
Baby shark dododoodoo
So dramatic, man that was really hard to watch so cringe, I swam with sharks in the same cage and I didn't act like a 2-year-old having a breakdown.
Women ☕️
@@Jerry-tz9jonot a gender thing, I'm a woman and this was extremely irritating to watch.
Sharks don't care if yr mature or not, they'll eat u anyway.
@@Jerry-tz9jo Nope. Children. They were probably only about 12 years old here. In my opinion, too young for parasailing.
Yea I’m sure. Anyone can pretend to be so brave or unbothered about an experience with a shark on their keyboard. Same as the people who think they’d act rational in every situation but then don’t. It’s usually that sort of person who freaks out and causes more harm or death because they think they’re smarter or more “relaxed” than everyone else.
That's why I prefer swimming pools.
Great idea
I saw an allegator in a swimming pool one day
Thank GOD that they survived.

@@aandykf Agreed, idk why IE passed over that so quickly. RIP
They perfectly demonstrate what not to do around sharks.
The small sharks be chillin’ like “yo Bruce, check this out we got some screaming parasailers again.”
Brucey Bruce🙈
If you kick the water, it is definitely getting their attention
Heres my question how come they dont give the people a radio or headset to communicate safely with the boat operator?
Its all about lowering expenses and getting a higher profit I guess, I live in Costa Rica and we did parasailing a few years ago and it was terrifying, you feel you're gonna fall at any moment, never again!
This was five years ago, hopefully they do now
Same question. A lot of things could go wrong up there such as a sudden health problem. Or something can go wrong on the boat. There needs to be a way to call for help and communicate information in an emergency.
Sure was nice of them to ring the dinner bell for the sharks by splashing like nuts
the sharks wouldn't do anything to you but splashing like a wounded animal surely isn't going to help 😂
A bit of cognitive dissonance here 😅
Guess they didn't know that excessive splashing attracts sharks even more. Other than that, R.I.P. to the girl that passed.
Relax, ladies! Sharks can’t fly!
That's not true haven't you seen the movie sharknado?
First time I went parasailing awhile back, and the vendor actually had waterproof comms attached, so we could communicate if anything went wrong..now I know that's VERY unusual to have them!😊
The first thing the parasail company should tell customers, if you see a shark and go in the water , don’t panic that will attract them. I’ve snorkeled in the Indian Ocean with sharks. Just take it slow as easy.
The shark be like:

lol sharks in the water so I’m going to splash like I’m an injured seal. That will scare the sharks off

Odds of Death from Car Accident: 1 in 107
Stop messing in the ocean if you don't want to be around sharks🙄🙄People never get this.
BRO THEIR SCARED
People also forget that sharks aren't dangerous. Look at how, despite acting like seals, they got out of that situation unharmed?
That was NOT shark-infested waters. That was just a few sharks pointed out in their home, and they ain't about to leave to make anyone comfortable.
Anyway, RIP to the girl who lost her life.
A shark in the water unbelievable
That's the worst thing they could've done splashing around like that. It triggers a sharks predatory instinct.
I was going to make fun of them splashing like crazy but then the story took a turn 😢
Rip to the girl
This is the most hilarious thing I've seen all day 😂 🤣 Those sharks were probably like "Oh, my prayers have been answered! Ask and the lord provides! Praise God, we're eatin' good tonight! They be out here air dropping us food! Bless you, kind sir."
People on the boat; "They sound so happy. Shall we dip them now?"
DO NOT SPLASH AROUND NEAR SHARKS, that will just ring the dinner bell for the sharks.
These types of events need an emergency walkie-talkie on stand by just in case any of those thing happen
I’m so sorry for your loss, this story made me tear up, because I have a daughter their age and she’s always with her two friends 😢

Why is there no waterproof radio?? Not that expensive
As people tend to drop them like their go pro and other stuff. As these could be harmful to the marine life especially battery that starts to leak.

So what did they expect to see..? Sharks lives in the sea..
From someone who lives next to shark infested waters, don't panic, you'll attract them and get them in hunt mode.

Panicking is a big no no. Also did they forget, that it's the sharks home. My sister wanted to go parasailing, a while ago also in Florida. I remember saying I'm definitely not interested with the sharks in the water.

there should be a new LAW that communication system is going to be required between the people on parasailing and the people on the boat
