Mechanic's Fishing Rod (30% power) is only sold during 1 out of 8 moon phases, i forget which one. Skeleton Merchant only sells the Magic Lantern during one or two phases.

As someone who was playing on a community server a lot during 1.2, people would frequently use North Pole to grind a ton of items because it was the most effective Melee weapon in terms of sheer DPS... Given you had little to no wind. The snowflakes the projectile drops are affected by it. Aiming straight upwards go brrrr Edit: Oh great, literally 3 seconds later he goes over it

I played this game since 2013, have unlocked all of the achievements(accept the angler one) and completed this game for god knows how many times and I didn't even know this feature exists until Journey's end.
What about fishing during certain times? Because certain times give boosts and negatives. (I mean like 7:30 pm is better to fish than 4:00 am and so on and so forth.)
The issue with wind is that it has a large variety of values, and so few visible changes. Even now, beyond aesthetics what's really noticable of wind is if it reaches the point of a windy day, and nothing between.

As someone who is a massive North Pole fan, the snowflakes dropped as the spear flies have their trajectory heavily effected by wind. Having a cell phone or some other wind determining item allowed you to get absolutely massive stacks of snowflakes on a single boss if you account for the wind direction and speed. :)

As for an actual tip, the Inferno Potion buff protects you from the bubbles as long as you're not too close to the boss (as in right next to him).

I always make a walled path through my deserts. It's been the first thing I do alongside getting cactus armor since they added the sandstorm
