I think the m5 in general is kinda “meh” in terms of styling. Amazing engines and gobs of tech. But aside from the quad pipes. I’d really have to do a double take to see if it’s an m5 or 550i. Oddly enough...when I see an m3 or m4 it’s very distinct to me compared to a non m 3/4 series. Don’t get me wrong....would drive an m5 in a heartbeat....I’m just not sold on the styling
It's too bad BMW didn't do more to make the F90 styling match it's ridiculous performance improvements. The new M5 looks a lot like a Camry now and it's a shame. I actually bought a CPO F10 M5 because I knew for a few hundred bucks I could make it look super mean and clean. Nobody needs 562 HP, let alone 600HP. My F10 M5 is already faster than 95% of the cars I see on the road. I was fine not paying twice the amount for the F90 M5's added performance and underwhelming styling.

The F90M5 is the most beautiful 5 series ever made. 3. BMW always makes timeless cars that are ahead of their time, it wouldnt be suprising to get views on the F10 being more beautiful. 4. Its a shame that the f90 M550i sounds more V8 than both of these, i'm not sure how the M board signed off both generations with the exhaust note of these cars, very annoying when you hear the AMG (especially) 5. We can hope that one day BMW will defy all the EU emissions laws and build a limited edition M5 with a V10, besides, the 4.4litre has done its time now at 600hp,lets have another round of the V10 before the lithiums take over, should we BMW people send a petition to BMW?
No offence to f10 owner but without the upgraded headlights and ext leather the car is lookin nasty. Needs both those asap. Its an m5 spec it right or get a 528i.

I totally agree. On a 2014 plus get the adaptive LEDs. Looks way more aggressive. I agree on the full leather as well. And drop the lane assist, and what’s up with the blind spot warning lights on the mirror being where you can barely see them? For such a big car the small mirrors and lane changing visibility sucks compared to most modern cars. Massaging seats on the f10 were a joke as well. Where’s the 1/4 mile performance clock at? They got a lot right with the f10, but a lot wrong too. The electronic software is half baked. As far as driving experience and quality of interior and build quality it’s spot on. Never driven the six speed but the turbo charged engine doesn’t seem suitable for a manual. I could be wrong. The DCT is well suited for the car. The front seats feel like recliners, really comfortable recliners with adjustable bolsters in them that hug you tight. Love the seats in the f10. Could sleep in one
greattttt we get it BMW once made an M5 with a V10, a V10 that sounded great and was massively slow. Never owned a E60, but I owned an F10 and I'm not exaggerating when I say I beat this guy by 3 buses. I now own the f90, which is even faster (off the line anyway) the E60 is old, it looks terrible. Literally terrible. and is outdated. Why people still talk about it is beyond me.

Upgrade the S85 V10 to 600hp, swap the drivetrain from the F90 so the E60 can have awd capabilities and since it's out of date swap the idrive too. Not saying all that would be possible but that's a theory in making the E60 just as good or better overall than the F90. To begin with the E60 stock has a better top speed than the F90, it's just the F90 is alot faster at accelerating
Name's OMEGA you could also make a Honda Civic into a 6 second car. Who wants to put that kind of money into an old, outdated, ugly car. The e60 is literally hideous. Yes you are correct. You can make the e60 just as fast as the f90 for the same price. But your still going to have an old crap outdated car with a cassette player in it. But hey.. you can go around telling people “I have a v10”

Interesting to see that as hp/tq increases, manufacturers are switching from DCT to torque converter autos... the low speed smoothness of a TC auto is probably another big selling point
Also because BMW didn’t design the DCT for X-Drive. Obviously there are many companies that make DCT’s for AWD cars so BMW could’ve easily done so, but BMW chose not to.

As u go on lower end ur greeted with cheap plastic and creeky interior nice. Might aswell buy a subaru. Bmw def has better felling interior imo but theyre also headed down that road of s,m,l. Not likin the way these companies are doin things these days. Its clear these cars are all meant for a 5 year lease and then ready for scrap yard. Back to back with my f10 can def.say its overall more solid than f90.no doubt.

The last model year of the F10 2016 does comes with digital cluster if you option it.
