Your ability to breathe new life into this classic car is extraordinary. The attention to detail, from the smallest screws to the final polish, is impeccable. This is craftsmanship at its finest, and it’s clear that you are a master of your trade
We had a 1952 International school bus which had the same front end and dash, the bus hauled kids to school till 1969.This brings back memories of that old bus we had.
As a French citizen I love watching videos about those old US trucks. Thing is massive & has crazy charisma. Would deserve a full restoration, glorious green or red paint included.
It takes a special combination of patience, skill and appreciation of classic iron to do this excellent job Dane. My older brother had one of these International pickups out on the farm when I was a teen. We called it the old "intercourser" 😅. I liked that pickup and even tho it was a half ton it could do a lot of work.
I just don't get it. Why do you detailers always clean the engine compartment last & always wash the vehicles from the bottom up instead of from the top down.
@larrywheeler-no4iv if did engine first it would rinse off the fender. And if I washed top to bottom it would rinse all the rest of the Vehicle. For sake of content and the satisfaction I do it this way. But I normally would not

New to your channel. Love how down to earth you are & not all flashy & gimmicky like some that I watch. Just seems a little more real. Keep up the great work.
I believe the silver diamond was the flat head that was canceled after 1949. Starting in 1950 it was the overhead valve engine and it was a green diamond.
Man, those old trucks have so much character. I've watched a bunch of your videos.....how do you keep that silver Camaro clean with all the overspray......? LOL. Excellent job!!!
I don't 😂😂😂 those are all my personal cars that I should move or cover haha. Eventually the shop is going to be rearranged and better laid out! I appreciate it! 🙌
Thought it was funny you let all the air out of those old bias plys and they still held their shape 😂 have a set on my daily and In the winter time they’d leak down over night but they wouldn’t go flat until you started to drive and they would warm up

way before i was born International was the only truck my uncle would own. and let me tell you when they stopped producing them. in 1975 he went down and bought 5 new ones. 1/2 ton no bed. he used the same homemade flatbed on them. and he drove parked 4 drove one until it died then he used it as a parts truck and i think he still had one in his garage that only had 235 miles on it when he passed away in 2024 at 93 years old. and now his son wants to sell it and the others as parts trucks but hes stupid on his prices. he asking 75K for all them. and i am sure someone will buy them with one still being new.
Good work and all, but you are quite brutal with that brush, and even though you power washed before you sponge bathed it, you gotta have a separate sponge style pad for under your wheel wells and bumpers compared to the sponge pad you use on the surface no matter how rough of shape the vehicle may be in.
Those old internationals are sweet i have a international hay truck hasn't ran for years it was originally my grandfathers rig im gonna try to restore it at some point

That car washer lacks a lot of experience or to be more detail-oriented, that type of wash here where I live is common due to the mud of the rainy season, in any wash they do it better
Hmmmmmmmmmm why the lights on top the fenders. I know that they had turn signals in the lights by the grill. When I was a kid my next door neighbor owned the IH dealership. My father even worked there for awhile.
Why in the flip are you jerking that chain so hard? You are just going to damage something. 🙄 If i saw you doing that to my truck we would've had some words 😡 I've tried 2 of this guys vids and witnessed zero common sense in both. I'll be moving on
There is sense to Dane’s postings, they’re simply not to your taste or liking. With these feelings you should move on. Everything is not for everyone. But there is no need to be sarky about it.
There us no such thing. This isn't a European truck. The only 4 speeds available were floor shifted, even in the commercial vehicles. The truck 4 speed had a compound low.
I never got into cars till I was 15, and got into a body shop doing resotrorations never got into the mechanical side of things, I buy them running usually and paint them and sell them. but now with these none running barn finds I'm learning as I go.
Thanks For Watching! 🙏

26:32 AWESOME JOB, truck looks amazing for being 75 years old
As a French citizen I love watching videos about those old US trucks. Thing is massive & has crazy charisma. Would deserve a full restoration, glorious green or red paint included.
It’s cool to see people who don’t even have personal experience with these old trucks appreciate them for what they are. Thank you 🙂
@@mystisith3984 I appreciate the feedback! 🙌
@mystisith3984 Same here from the 🇬🇧. The old US trucks are awesome 👌
@timothyh9112 I love to hear feed back from across the globe! 🙌

Oh, and I love your transformation videos.
My first thought was heck, He should take that to shows ! The sky's the limit with that rig!
Nice job make it safe and road worthy . It's just a very cool old truck
Those Internationals were real trucks. Very strong, ran good a long time. So sad International stopped making pick up trucks.
They are really cool! 🔥

Thanks you I appreciate it 🙏
Looks great. Not too far from me. Love these old trucks.
Beautiful truck I would be proud to drive.
All that black that turned red on the firewall is where they painted grease.
Not your fault.👍
You’re no detail geek but you’re handsome, wear fun shirts, and the vehicles have tons of character!
New to your channel. Love how down to earth you are & not all flashy & gimmicky like some that I watch. Just seems a little more real. Keep up the great work.

Would be sick if junkyard digs took the truck next and did the mechanical
What a spectacular find, and it cleaned up good!
Yes it is and thank you! 🙏
if you hook those old horns up to a 12 volt they sound like air horns.

Michigan here too. Great transformation due to your hard work and sweat. I’m thinking your dog is the best thing in your videos, he is hilarious 👍
He's a Nut! He loves to come on these barn finds with me! Haha. I appreciate it! 🙌
I would love to see it in its original red but man, that is some nice patina for sure. Rust through is the only real bummer for me.
Thanks Dane, I think this is my favorite so far!
Thank you for the feed back I appreciate you 🙏

Hi detail dane
Hello 👋
Nice work
Thanks, I appreciate it! 🙌
Same color as my dad's
Why didn't you just use a flat bed trailer? 6:16
What piano music being played?
Just new here. I wonder if you are also a mechanic. Detailing and mechanic knowhow is a good receipes.
I started with cars doing bodywork and paint. I can do basic stuff but still learning mechanically!
It's like damn I should have bought a taller trailer
For real 😂 that took me 5 hours to get it out. And than when I dropped it off I set it on a hill. And it came out no issue. Lesson learned
Who is that crazy little black dog..
That's my pug Bowie, he comes with me on all the barn finds! He's a wild one! Haha.
@@DetailDane He's a live wire, cute little guy.
Michigan here and really enjoying your channel. The content, your sense of humor and Bowie running full on through the shots is hilarious. Good job 👍
Awesome colour truck. I'd like to see that fully renovated!
It's a pretty cool truck! 😎
Original color red would be good.

That masterpiece of a mower deserves a paint job !
In that condition I would give it a bath and drive it as is. No need to part it out to restore it.

Hello.

Should of used a flatbed dude!
I usually would have, there was rain on the drive, and want to preserve the truck for best content on the Full 3.5 hours back to my shop.
Massive job to polish that truck! Nice…
Thanks I appreciate it! 🙌

Do you ever use “ iron remover “ to remove particles from the vehicles?

I learned to drive with a column shifted 3 speed 49 Chevy PU. In 1964.

Hmmmmmmmmmm why the lights on top the fenders. I know that they had turn signals in the lights by the grill. When I was a kid my next door neighbor owned the IH dealership. My father even worked there for awhile.
The lights in the grill were parking lights only. Blinkers were a option.

@murielinez I did, until you replied to my post. Now I have to see this idiocy again.
It might actually be 4 on the tree.
You might be right 😂
There us no such thing. This isn't a European truck. The only 4 speeds available were floor shifted, even in the commercial vehicles. The truck 4 speed had a compound low.
Only clean nothing new
How rude. Detailing a car that has been untouched for decades is not ONLY cleaning.
He's never heard of an oil bath aircleaner? Really? Wow! Doesn't work on older cars much!
