I'm by no means a gearhead but I love watching your videos. Fascinating watching you bring these old machines back to life. You're always good for a laugh too.
Same here. I really have no background in working on cars at all, I only know the basics that most people know. One thing I can see is the older vehicles are probably a lot easier for a mechanic to work on, so much more room and less crap to fix.
"We" is limited to those who do not. Being raised like it was the 1800s I appreciate common amenities the majority consider their "rights". They are not and will soon be beyond financial or available viability for the "We". "History does not repeat itself, it rhymes" - Mark Twain I will spectate and be amused.@@JeffKopis
You are the most patient mechanic I’ve seen. Never heard a foul word or real anger while you’re working on your projects. Well done. I like your videos a lot.
Many years ago I was trying to adjust the timing on a 49 flathead. Had a 80 year old neighbor, was watching, and he asked for a glass of water, I thought he was thirsty, he said now put the glass of water on top of the breather. He said now rotate the distributor until the water was level is not wavy. That was amazing. Keep up the restorations.
You are pretty damn amazing. Out of all the videos I have seen of yours only a couple wouldn't start. No playing up to viewers, just come on and start working and getting these old cars and trucks going. Thank you sir! I appreciate you
something about watching unloved forgotten tech from the past coming back to life gives me a moment of peace. I even watch people restore old 50's tube T.V.s. I have to say you are the GOAT of bringing back cars that 90% would think is scrap.
I used to drive one of them when I was a kid it could do 70 Mph easily. I love watching your videos. I had a tight motor once and I ended up using 36 volts on to a 6 volt starter and then it fired up .
Back when I was a kid in the early 80’s over here in Mississippi, I had to help my Daddy haul pulp wood a lot. Daddy would go out and find old international about like this one, get her going, work the dog out of her, and started over with another. Watching these videos take me back to my childhood.
I have had many of attempted pranks where they show some scary face in the middle of a quite video and I never flinched. You broke that motor free and I ducked and almost filled my pants! 😮 I have done that several times myself and I still can’t contain my reaction of both the joy of the engine turning and the horror of all of the stuff shooting out of the cylinders. Thanks for the great content.❤
So cool to see you bring those wonderful trucks back to life. I love the sound the engines make. You are a remarkable and skilled mechanic. Thank you 🙏
My Dad drove a 49' up the Alcan Hwy in 1959 pulling a 35-foot Detroiter house trailer. It never missed a beat. My mom followed behind with us kids in a 58' Chev station wagon.
After watching several of these I am convinced of two things. Number 1, the mechanical prowess of Mr. Jennings is unmatched, and Number 2, Mr. Jennings is immortal.
I wouldn't call him a "god", he is fun to watch but I wouldn't worship him, worship God only. You really need to meet the Lord Jesus Christ, these idols will shaft you everytime sir.
Was that your special elixir of ATF and ACETONE? Wow! That was nothing short of remarkable. Thank you for showing your simplified steps to getting it to fire up. I really liked the part where you heat the sparkplugs up and douse them with penetrating ole. The cooling action sucks the oil down along the threads. I watched a spring shop do that to U-Bolts and Nuts and they reused them a lot of times. I'd like to add 2 things if I may: 1). My first thing to try is use about a 3' long prybar with a nice flat end and pry between the bellhousing and the starter ring gear teeth. I'm not too sure how to calculate the mechanical advantage, but it's way way more than going on the front dampener bolt or driveshaft. 2). If I can get it to turn over 2 whole revolutions, I don't bother with compression testing, carb or anything else, I gear up for spark and use starting fluid to give it a try. Most of the time if even 1 cylinder "helps" it will eventually speed up the cranking and go on up to several hundred rpms and from there light off. I hold it to only a few thousand rpms until it heats up the whole engine. Then shut off and cool down. After a couple heat cycles I usually have almost all the cylinders helping out. That's just my way of making the initial determination of conditions. If I don't hear rods knocking or see blow'd head gaskets, I consider the next level of investigation. Nice video Jennings. tnx ben/ michigan
When you say "it leaks like a screen door", I think to myself, if you don't put out videos more often fixing old trucks, you could try stand up comedy. Beyond the humor you really present a lot of patience, determination, and skill. I watch your videos because I learn things. Thanks for doing what you do. You can turn a very old truck into a treasure.
Another fabulous/entertaining video. I have a theory..... You had a relative that owned a wrecking yard. When you were 12, 13, 14 you would spend your Saturdays in that yard equipped with a battery, can of starting fluid and a jug of gasoline. As far as conveyance a picture you with a little red wagon or maybe a golf cart. It was your joy, pleasure, entertainment to see which car or truck you could get running again. I would have loved that. Am I remotely close?
I’ve lost count on how many of your videos I’ve watched these last few years, but I’ve got to say that this truck is one of my favorites. It wanted to run. You can tell it missed being noticed by someone. I love that era (1940’s - 1950’s), I love the look of it and the sound of it once she started up. Great job!!!
I have a 1949 International KB2. I purchased it restored and was always curious of what it might have looked like prior to it's restoration. I think your example is probably pretty close. Now I've never owned a international before so to watch these video's helps me if I was ever to have run-ability issues with mine. So, thank you for that! Also, you don't see a bunch of these trucks around and they are not super popular so when I see a video of one I watch it. You never know what you might learn about these ol'girls. Keep the video's coming.. I thoroughly enjoy them.!
And thanks for these videos. I love to see you saving these old trucks part of History and it's great to see you getting them running again. Awesome! Keep the videos coming. Thanks again
I enjoy your videos, I to have been getting old gear that has been sitting around forever going. Have picked up some good tips from you. Sheer bloody minded perseverance, eventually pays off. It’s. A real skill to look at an old machine that appears to be junk to most people and realise its potential . Keep up your great work. Cheers from down under
I always love to see when you have a video come out because yours are the true will it run sitting over 50 years and one back to life that's real !!!!!! Thanks brother
I enjoyed your video tremendously. What are you doing with all of these old rigs ? Maybe one day you restore some of these beauties to the former glory.
I've seen you do some great will it runs, all very entertaining. I also like your other videos. You have great commentary and comments, and the vehicles are very interesting as well.
Howdyyawl from the land down under. Looks like a nice old faithful. Someone's pride & joy in days gone. Be a nice project to get back on the road. Always like your video's, keepemcomin. 😊
Laugh my backside off when the motor broke free blew that can right off the motor. Man was good hope it gets fixed to drive it down the road . Great video.
I love these videos man! Big wish from me and maybe others: Please please consider revisiting that Cadillac V8 from 1917 or so! If it is expensive to fix and/or make a video where u get it running due to needing billet made parts, maybe we could swing a collection box around to see if ppl wanna pitch in, if money is stopping that engine from happening!
You will seen the Cadillac v 8 again just going take some time all the parts have to be custom made the pistons are like 2k plus and all the bearings have to be custom made been saving up my lunch money lol hopefully come this spring we will get it rebuilt
I worked with a woman who was the 1st female OTR truck driver and she drove an IH and said it was the best truck she ever drove, they really don't make 'em like they used to!
I like them old trucks I drove 3 old Chevy when I was young a 1951 292 6 cyc 2 ton with pancake hi and low rear-end a 53 1 ton with a 216 babbitt rod 6 cyc a 59 fleetside 3/4 ton with a 235 6 cyc miss them old days and them old trucks
Please get more cars to get the engine running and to see if the truck or car will move. I love your channel and i always watch u fixing the truck or car up. All the very best Paul
"The dirt dauber performance package" 😂😂😂 .......That must be a dealer installed option; if you let 'em sit on the lot long enough. Good job getting the old girl running again!
sits in a field for50 years .a battery some plugs pb blaster this that and the outher and knowing what your doing the starts and drives. that blows my mind.man we made things back then to last.i couldpark my 2018 in a field for 3 years and it would be toast never run again.good job ocb.your the man
I'm by no means a gearhead but I love watching your videos. Fascinating watching you bring these old machines back to life. You're always good for a laugh too.
Do doubt! his videos are the best!!
That "good ole boy" southern accent doesn't hurt either @@AntiTrustNJ

Let the gears turn!
Its just fuel, spark, and compression. He's making it run. Not bringing it back to life.
I can only imagine what it was like living back when those beautiful trucks were new, great video sir
No cell phones. No computers. No microwaves, KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut. No free porn. No seat belts. No thanks! 🤣
But seriously, we don't appreciate new things, until they become old things. That said, nobody is gonna be praising a 2023 Prius 50 years from now.
@@JeffKopismaybe they’ll praise the Prius for being good for making razor blades? 😂😂

I love the way you get these old vehicles running. Not to hint at my age but these were very popular trucks for farming when I was a young man.
You are the most patient mechanic I’ve seen. Never heard a foul word or real anger while you’re working on your projects. Well done. I like your videos a lot.
You just made me realize that about this guy. Maybe the most impressive thing about him on top of his soft skills and common sense
No foul words? I have heard him say “dad gum” several times.
Молодец,у меня тоже есть трак газ 63 ,1963г на ходу.Когда смотрю твои видео многое похоже конструктивно.Удачи тебе!!!
Always fun watching you get these old cars and trucks running again.

DANG! I used to run around in one of these back in the early '70's. Great old tank! Wish I had her now...original paint and all.
You take some remarkably crusty old vehicles and actually make them run, amazingly. keep up the great work and the cool videos 👍✌️🇺🇲

You've got my subscription. It's incredible to see these old works of art revived to life. You really know your way around them too.

Love it!. Old school mechanics!... Not a laptop in sight!. 🤣 Really enjoy seeing old bits of kit bought back to life!. Nice one!. Nuff said. 🙂

Wow you can put this old truck back in service now! Love your candor and videos.
Great video! I enjoy watching you work your magic on these old treasures.
KB-5. We had one on my aunts farm. My cousins had an International dealership. KB-2's were good trucks too.
