Lots of good products from San Miguel. I remember one time Magnolia ice cream rule the market then came Nestle which bought it then proceeded to copy Magnolia's packaging, but you know, taste is everything. Nestle ice cream is nowhere as yummy as Magnolia. Even their choco drink Chuckie which again has the same packaging as Magnolia's Chocolait is nowhere as tasty. Good thing Magnolia made a comeback. It's sad our local businessmen didnt trust their own products and bowed down to these international conglomerates.

I used minty soap in bathing because of how hot in the Philippines. The heat often gives us rashes ("bungang-araw") because of too much sweat produced by the body due to the humid climate. Bathing is important, and to add that "cooling" sensation to the body we use hygienic products with mint/menthol to it.

    • @wolfycakes136

True, and no one can beat minty soap and minty shampoo. Man, minty shampoo hits different. In my locality, I believe the rash is called 'Havas' and it's usually from down there when it gets way too hot and you're sweating way to damn much

Banana 🍌 ketchup goes well in certain recipes, preferably those from the tropics 🌴 🏝 Good news: (tomato 🍅) ketchup is still available! Yummy 😋
Also note that hoisin sauce is available. It is nicknamed Chinese ketchup.

Milkis is a milk and yogurt flavored carbonated drink and it's very popular in Korea and Russia (in Russia there are over 13 flavors of it). I live in Hungary and I bought milkis at Asian grocery store at a Mall called AsiaCenter and when I tried it first time it tasted like antibiotics but when i bought another milkis and refrigerated it had a great milky flavor.

Fanta is different from Royal in the Philippines.. as a kid we used to drink Royal more as Fanta came in a little later and it was a little bit more expensive… Royal Tru-orange even tastes different than Fanta Orange… RTO is a bit more lighter, borderline, juicy than the more carbonated Fanta…

Back on the 90s Royal Tru-orange and Fanta Orange co-existed. Fanta tasted closer to Mirinda. It was slightly medicine-tasting. I preferred Royal.
Does anybody remember Famfa Root Beer? I actually preferred A&W, still my favorite to this day. Fanta tasted a bit diluted. And then there was Sarsi; it tasted like Fanta and Salonpas pain-relief strips put in a blender together.
