Great job Ken!! You struck a nerve with everyone on the grease your bearings thing but your right , they get lubed from the diff oil. Every time you crawl over a Boulder the opposite bearings will get lubed. Lol

The balancing act continues as Ken records two videos at once leaving the crowds wondering if he actually packed the wheel bearings with grease. An experienced mechanic and sculpture king always remembers! Thanks for the details.
Ken, if you ever break one of those axles then it’s time to question why you haven’t installed five point safety belts.

Ken...I know those bearings use the gear oil in the axle housing for lubrication, but I have found its good the soak them in an oil bath for a couple hours to overnight before install. Metal is slightly porous at the microscopic level and believe it or not, the oil does impregnate the surface a little.
Now that's not to say you won't be fine as is. After all, you're not loading this thing up with a 20K lb skid steer on a 10K lb trailer and doing 80 down the freeway, but...
Err on the side of caution, I say.
With all that nonsense said...great series man. I have been a avid watching subscriber since you began the swap. Look forward to every installment. Good onya🤠👍

Thanks Heath! You're not wrong, but the way I did it is how it is commonly done and how I've done it many times before. As soon as I fill the axle with oil, the bearings will be half submerged in it. And it'll probably sit over night before I drive it. Thanks for following the build!

The proper seal driver for that seal has a groove machined into it so you don’t smash the inner portion of the seal into the housing. Not much different than this but doing it with a standard drive can create problems

On that KD 3195 ratchet lock nut / spindle nut socket KD us made was bought out by non us made danaher, then apex and is now under the non us made Gearwrench name. I find old ones on ebay and the new gearwrench ones and they all say for the 10.25 and dana 80 instead of the 10.50 so i dont know how you found that tool but it does work on the sterling 10.5 huh ?

Tool company conglomerations are always changing. Danaher used to own Matco, Craftsman, Gearwrench, KD, and others. I haven't kept track for several years.
As for the tool working on a 10.25/10.5, the hub setup is unchanged, so the same tool works on either. At least within the 99-11 year range for sure, not sure after that.
