I’ll never forget my RB in NCAA 06. Four years at Miami and then I ported him into Madden 06 where I played 13 years for the Ravens. It was emotional as hell when I finally retired him because his stats were dropping so much. RIP NCAA 😢

My goodness.......hearing what 15 could have been was a dagger to the heart. PLEASE bring this back! July of every summer was filled with mythical recruiting wars and building my dynasty. Even in the 'bad' years I had a blast. i remember the thrill the first time i downloaded the authentic rosters into the game. It was glorious.

They even said they'd support the IMV devs they just needed proof that their college football game that they're making would actually sell. 2k seriously needs to jump on this opportunity

Yeah I have seen it at GameStop for around 40 bucks or so. I think you can still get it off Xbox Live for the 360 for around 20 bucks.

If they would just make NCAA Football 14 backwards compatible I would be cool with that.
It would run so much better too. Game is a little choppy on 360 it pushes the limits.
If they did that, I'd also want Madden 25 backwards compatible so I can import my NCAA rosters over there.
EA should just do a HD re-release of NCAA Football14 on the Xbox & PS stores. They'd make a killing.

Especially because we got hosed literally the year before the College Football Playoff!! Just having the old game with the CFP would be amazing. It'd also add another way of sales to horrendously average Madden 25 if they kept the Draft Class Importer Compatible (course I say that, but Madden 25 is Einstein compared to what I've seen my cousins playing with the modern Maddens I refuse to buy. Boycotting for NCAA!!)

What I do, is transfer my draft class from NCAA to Madden 25 to see how my players are doing. If it's a road to glory I create my road to glory player in a dynasty, since you can edit the rosters
@I’m wrong but when your players are keaving in thw offseason it asks you if you want to import your draft class to madden 25. You say yes, save and download the draft class and import it each week 1 on franchise. I think there's RUclips videos on it too.

abileneman what makes you think nobody played NCAA basketball games? I don't know how old you are but games like 2K college hoops and EA NCAA basketball were among the most popular college games out. Especially from 2000 to 2008 college basketball games have always been popular Coach K college basketball 1995 to March Madness 1999 and 2000. If the college basketball games wasn't popular companies wouldn't have made them from 1993 till 2010 they would've been stop making them.

I remember when I couldn't get enough of EA games back in the early 2000's. Madden, Ncaa, NBA live, were all so much fun back then. Long before these games were online, I would get together with friends and battle on these titles for bragging rights. Now, 10 years later, I don't play any EA games. Great graphics doesn't make up for poor gameplay and horrible AI. Glitch plays, dice roll/rng action, and how much you spent on your team determine the outcome of games instead of skill. Even if NCAA returns, it will be polluted with micro transactions and it will be bad, glitchy, gameplay just like Madden is now. Who wants that?

I'm a UCLA fan, and Ed O'Bannon is on of the NBA's biggest draft busts of the 90's. Henever did anything in the pros and was bitter he didnt make $ in college when he was on of the best in the history of the NCAA. I kind of see his point but it's a shame hes killed a point of enjoyment we all used to share
Towards the end of the video, the narration brought tears to my eyes since I've played CF games since Bill Walsh CF on Genesis. Glad we still can enjoy NCAA 14 today.
Good god EA, what on earth convinced you that the main selling point of these games was player likenesses? I don't know a single fan of this series that ever gave a flying F about names or likenesses. People bought this game because it was College Football, the most die-hard, passionate fan bases in America. Football as a whole, is about being a fan of laundry, the colors, the banner, the school or team, the marching band at halftime, the fight songs, the majestic pageantry. That is why people bought NCAA Football, not because QB #10 looked like Vince Young. Good god no wonder this franchise failed, you guys had all the wrong priorities. It seems like despite making the games for over a decade, you didn't understand College Sports at all. Hopefully Gridiron Champions sells like Cake at a Weight Watchers convention, so the NCAA will partner with them, and we can finally get real College Football back, made by people who actually understands why people love College Football games.

TheRevanchists I know I’m late but that was well said. I believe the players likeness had to be in NCAA basketball. It doesn’t even seem like there is but around 10-15 face models of players in football and you only see it between games while looking at stats or recruiting boards.

Same here, $59 shipped on ebay for PS3. Awesome game that still has online servers active and can download 2020 rosters to it. Operation Sports Forum has the latest updated roster file as of 11/28/2020.

NCAA 08 was my favorite to play. I remember getting all of the Penant unlocks where you can have a 5th down or throw past the line of scrimmage. but my overall favorite experience was probably with NCAA 11 or 12

I just bought a PS3 and NCAA 14 to be able to play this game again.Can't play it on my PS4.... because.... no one cares about backwards compatibility..... Still have 05 06 07 in my closet for PS2.

NCAA Football 14 has an almost permanent spot in my PS3...can't even remember the last time I took it out.
My mom asked why I don't sell my PS3 since I just recently got my PS4 and I had to tell her this game means a lot to me. I won't give it up. When NCAA releases in the future then I will get rid of my PS3 but until then I just update the rosters
Yep, it's the main reason I still have my PS3. I wish EA could just make a completely customized game. NCAA 14 wasn't perfect, but it was making strides. I hope the IMV game is awesome!
Thanks for putting this together. I worked as a tester on NCAA 2000 and still my favorite game of all-time. They used to run tournaments on college campuses then similar to the madden challenge. Fun times!
It's a shame that just when my Clemson Tigers became an elite program, they cancel the series.
I still play this game to this day, I download the updated rosters from those loyal creators every fall and start a new dynasty until the new rosters come out the following year.

The years of creating a player in college, taking him through 4 years and then taking him to pro level on another game, was easily the most fun I had gaming. It was truly like living a dream. I will pay all the moneys if someone can make that happen again. Please someone figure this out.
Ed Obannon is a washed up bitter man that couldn't come to grips with the fact his dream of being an NBA superstar never panned out, and instead of relishing in the opportunity he was afforded at the collegiate level, he decided to take away from the common man.

Fortress they use their likeness long after you don’t go to the school anymore. The scholarships pay for themselves as these programs make millions. Its not legal according to the highest court in these united states. So there’s nothing to argue. Have a good day.

NCAA Football 14 is probably one of the most legendary, mythological titles in history, it was probably the third or fourth best in the series but it’s legend grows everyday, the end of a beloved franchise, but the beginning of the end for great sports games... what a tragedy

1. Not everyone is on scholarship, unfortunately many don't get that luxury
2. These schools along with the NCAA are making million of dollars each year off of a multitude of different sales, licensing agreements and commercial revenue. If you took every player in the NCAA and put them on a 4 year full ride, the money they get from those scholarships would be dwarfed by how much the NCAA makes in a year. I seriously don't see why better compensation for the work they put it should be out of the question.

NCAA Football games are looking to come back in the next couple years
The problem with sports is money...the second someone said: "Hey kid, I'll give you nickel if you can beat him in a race" (not knowing that the overall bet was for a dollar) greed 🤑🤑🤑 from all parties involved in the law suits against EA, (including EA) is what killed twenty years of euphoria for fans of college football. Sadly, we have all come to see that there is no right or wrong in this loss, just indifference...and in the end the only conclusion we have is that we have no conclusion.
Year after year, new rumors come about the rebirth of a college football video game...and year after year we see that rumors are all they are. At some point, as fan, thought we love and miss our college football video game, our longing for one will start to dissolve into a irrelevant memory...because our real world issues within the ranks of sports on all levels such as payment for playing, politics and violations, violence and harassment of the student body is changing the eyes view of what we once and still much beloved. Needs are not being met, and because of that, everyone in pro all the way down to Pop Warner is suffering.
All these factors are playing a part in why we the fans are left with needs unfulfilled. "It was great while it lasted", and "funny how time flies when you're having fun"... nothing is changing so it's over. 😭
Anyway, I like this video almost as much as I truly appreciated "the legend of 2k5" keep the awesome journalism, however, I hope I don't have see one of these videos for sports games altogether. 😓

The presentation has been head and shoulders over madden by far despitebeing from the same publishers. The only knocks i ever have had for ncaa football games is that they are not immune to glitches some very annoying ones as well as the freezes that would occur with the consoles of the time. When we eventually get it for ps4 i really hope they put the same effort and attention to detail that they have in the past

I'm not a big 'football' fan but did buy a PS3 NCAA game when I visited the USA in 08 as in the UK we never got NCAA but obviously always madden/NFL.

When they stopped making NCAA FB, I got rid of my console !! I havnt played video gms ever since, I was heartbroken!! It was my fav gm, in fact, I really only bought 2 gms a yr, NCAAA & Madden, but I mostly played NCAA, that Home field advantage crowd noise feature was the best thing EVER !! I never understood why Madden never adopted the Home field advantage feature, if they brought back NCAA, I would definitely start back playing
Madden used to have I think the home field advantage thing like I used to play Madden 12 and 13 on the Wii and it would have that....I don't know why they got rid of it like it made it more realistic but they did...

Even though NCAA Football sold a fraction of what Madden did, it was still the 3rd highest grossing sports game worldwide for EA (behind Madden and FIFA). It brought in close to $100 million in revenue per year, and probably went a little higher in NCAA 14 since they added Ultimate Team that year for additional online monitization.

That's what I think they should've done. Make all players totally random. If people want to make rosters more accurate to the real world, they can do it
I really cared less about player likeness. I mainly liked the college atmosphere. I would buy every other year for new stadiums, mascots, conference changes, etc... Madden Football is just football to me.

Since 2016, I've been playing NCAA Football 2003, 2004 and 2005 for the 2016-18 NCAA Division I-A football seasons and I'm really enjoying it. Sad the NCAA Football games are dead now. They were awesome until 2011.

NCAA Football '09 is still my favorite of the series. One of my favorite NFL players, Matt Ryan, graced the cover of my PS3 version. I also enjoyed the '05 version, as it was the last year that FCS teams (formerly Division 1-AA) were available for play.
The people who filed this stupid lawsuit including a former Cornhusker QB Sam Keller(only filed because he was a horrible QB anyway) because they were after money. That’s the trouble in this world, these players are only after going to the pros and getting money. Be thankful that you are on a game and play as you. Hell I would love to be on a game

Didnt get a chance to play 14 because I got content with 12 on ps3 maybe one day I'll upgrade. I still have 10 on the ps2 and hop on when I'm feeling real nostalgic. Those slow camera jukes are priceless 😩

RIP. I await the day people can just be satisfied with the fact that they are in a video game being played by thousands upon thousands of people and appreciate how cool that is. What a great game franchise brought down because of greed and selfishness.
