I had a dance teacher who was a lot like Kitty Carter, and she changed my life for the better. If you can rise to the occasion, teachers like Kitty Carter can take you to heights you never imagined.

i feel like the reason they didn’t bring kitty carter back in the recent season was because of meredith. if she had come back, she would’ve definitely given meredith a hit of reality.

I was thinking the same thing. Meredith is a beautiful girl and a beautiful dancer, but she didn’t have the DCC style yet. She would have killed it next year. She wasn’t ready for the 2019 season
So Kelly’s girl crush was Meredith but kitty’s is definitely Holly, she loved her!
That’s because Holly was an outstanding performer.

Holly was seriously one of the best and how she went out was a shame.
She chose to do what she did. She was dating a player supposedly and they aren't supposed to be seen around players when not at a game. It's a clause in the contract they sign.

She’s so Lucky it’s not sexist. The majority of NFL teams don’t allow for cheerleaders to fraternize with the players. Most workplaces don’t allow for employee relationships in general
The whole thing is ridiculous with all their rules. They really do exploit these women. The fact that they don't get paid a living wage is ridiculous. These women don't owe them squat... especially with their dating lives. They treat them like interchangeable props and all they are offered in return is a moment of glamour in the spotlight.
I adore Kitty Carter. In a world where everyone's told they're a winner it's refreshing to hear Kitty say otherwise.

I love the fact that they surprised the girls by showing them the player intros and then having Kitty come in was a great idea!!! She was also so empathetic with Jasmine about her Cleft Foot and was supportive which showed how she is not just someone who critiques and takes you down and that she does care

Kitty is not only an absolutely great teacher, but is also very sweet when she isn't correcting someone. She just wants the best out of the girls since they are trying out for an NFL football cheerleading team and it's very very hard.

Kitty is fucking awesome, I even love how she dances with them, she shows them and doesn't just tell them and reminisce about her dance days. She's still got it.
Holly is one of the best dancers DCC has ever had, its such a shame she left the way she did.

As part of their contract they are not allowed to fraternize with the players outside of games. Holly was dating one and was let go due to breach of contract. Note the players do not have such clauses in their contracts, but I can see why as for cheerleaders it becomes a whole basket of drama. I do agree though that Holly was a fantastic dancer!
She knew the deal and broke the contract. Threw away her dream for a player who probably has four others at the same time. She's a fool.
I miss the Kitty Carter era. It was more about dance ability and less about appearance.

Kitty Carter was my favorite part of every episode she was in!!
Kitty was definitely about appearance. Look at how many times she called out the girls in front of everyone over weight. Or asked Kelli how someone (example Vivian) looks in the uniform. The night Chelsea got in trouble was when she told Kelli the 4 of them were heavy
I feel the same way after Melissa came in a lot changed personally I rather have someone harsh than someone who does stuff like Melissa like . Kitty you are TV gold ❤️

If you're a dancer that is serious about your career and improving your technique, you need to worry when teachers like Kitty Carter DON'T notice you, nor say anything to you. Not 100% always the case, but most of the time.

Kim Simmons : They must shoulder many expenses that I am sure their poor pay does not cover. They pay for their uniforms, salon and gym training expenses to maintain their look. They have many restrictions; no amount of money would convince me this is worth the treatment.

@@geraldynperezz nutshell: she got caught hanging-out with a player which is big no-no. Also this was in a club and she was 20 at the time so she had to admit to using a fake ID. They could have canned her on the spot, but didn't. They instead doled-out punishments like being the back row, etc. Holly then decided it would be best if she left and let someone else have a chance of being a part of the team. She is now in LA working as a dancer and seems happy. You can find her on insta at HollyMariePowell
It is sad. It’s hard to remember she was also really really young. Who didn’t do something stupid when they were 20.
Or maybe the cheerleaders and members of the teams shouldn’t have different rules to follow...
