  • Discover five things doctors should be saying to every patient who has prolapse. The term “prolapse” in this video refers to pelvic organ prolapse, which means that one or more of the pelvic organs has literally fallen out of its proper place and into the vagina. There are three types of pelvic organ prolapse: prolapsed bladder (cystocele), prolapsed rectum (rectocele), and prolapsed uterus.

I wish I would have seen this before my prolapse but I didn't know what prolapse was before I had prolapse. 🤔🥴

My OB/Gyn told me my prolapse was, “nothing to write home about.” He said we could schedule an ultrasound, but didn’t feel it was concerning. 😢

Hi Kegel Queen- Thanks for bringing attention to this issue! As a pelvic floor physical therapist, I was disappointed that you didn't bring up Pelvic PT as an option. You pointed out that medical doctors don't get paid to talk to patients about healthy lifestyle choices and exercises to support a prolapse, but Pelvic PT's do, and our model DOES fit in to the current healthcare system. I routinely spend 45-60 minutes doing exactly that with my prolapse patients, and am able to bill all major insurances and medicare for this service, and we typically meet weekly until symptoms are manageable (without surgery!) Perhaps you bring this up in your other videos... or I hope you will in the future!

Great advise. No one should ever have healthy organs removed when there are alternatives. When possible your can avoid embarrassing doctors visits. It's possible to make your own pessory if you need one by using beeswax or sea sponges. Their are some pretty good videos with instructions on RUclips.

Hi, I hope you can help🙏🏾. I have advanced prolapse, I can actually see it popping out of the mouth of my vagina with a mirror when I'm in the standing position.
Mr Dr said @this stage the only thing that can help is surgery. Which I can only do in March. Is there anything I can do to help it from getting even worse?
Will Kegel exercises help @this stage or can they make things worse?
