3D Chalk Art Created With Grass and Cracks in the Sidewalk

- David Zinn creates chalk art that appears to be 3-dimensional by marrying his drawings with things like grass, manhole covers, and cracks in the sidewalk. He worked as a freelance commercial artist for over 20 years, but a box of chalk called to him. But because of rain, footsteps and sweeping, seeing one of Zinn’s whimsical drawings up close is precious. If you come across one in one of the many cities around the world where he works, Zinn thinks you should consider yourself special.
His style is perfect for children's books.

Children books would be a complete waste. His street art is so much better and everyone gets to see what he uses in real life. It would all be lost in some book. Your missing the damn point. He uses everyday things in his art.
I love art, because it can be created with *absolutely* everything, it can be seen everywhere.
Some people don't understand that. They'll be like "THIS IS NOT ART. THIS IS BLASPHEMY!!!." They don't understand the fact that art can be anything that involves creativity like this man.
No brother art is haram, you ae pretending to be able to create, a trait only for almighty allah, in judgement day allah will ask you to bring those drawings to life and if you cant you go to hell, please repent while you still can! Islam is the true religion wake up people!
@@slimer6023 I'm not Muslim, but people don't draw with the intent to mock God that he is the only one who can create, which is obviously true, but instead draw with the intent to savor and cherish the things got gives us like rivers and mountains and trees. For example Bob Ross, he did not draw with the intent to mock God. He drew with the intent to cherish the beauty of nature that was given by God. God has given us the gift of being able to express gratitude to him with using our creativity whether it being through drawing or music. I'm Orthodox Christian and our church is filled with drawn icons of saints not to mock them, but to cherish their goodness. and that is just what I believe. Believe what you want to believe who am I to say.

The town where I’m from once a year in downtown they’ll have all kinds of ppl come and draw on the sidewalks it’s really nice to see all the different art ppl create.

This man epitomizes what art should be about. Everything single thing he said was SO on point and every aspect of this concept is on point. And not only is his art well done, it stands out that it's particularly sweet, wholesome and pleasant. He's awesome! ❤
I love everything about this.. it does make me sad to think all his work eventually washes away but it also makes it more special while it's here.

I love doing chalk art. It's so relaxing. I usually try to do it when I know rain is coming. Clean the slate for the next one. Better than seeing tire marks on it
