Great video. Review videos like this are the best. I watched so many since the G7X Mark ii came out. Until I finally I decided to go ahead and get it for my daily vlogging needs. I’m happy with it. Love the bright colors but the sound could be a little better in noisy environments. Thanks for this video!

how did you find the autofocus?
I had such a fun time transitioning from iPhone to canon. iPhone told me “storage full” all the time and it ruins my streaming. I so love the camera and it’s the best!!!! It’s so much fun vlogging now.
Hi! I'm having trouble and was hoping you could help me. When I press the play button to view an image, the image appears very tiny in the upper left hand corner, rather than take up the entire screen. This is frustrating because I can't see the image very well, and I don't know where in the settings to correct this. Any tips? Thanks for your time! :)

I have a Nikon D7100 SLR, a Sony AX-53 4K camera, a GoPro Hero 5 and the Canon G7X Mark II... I use the G7X out of all of the cameras the most. The sony was a lot more expensive, as was the SLR but man the quality and stabilization of the G7X is so awesome. My only gripe WAS the sounds that the camera made when zooming in/out for video but after watching this video, now I know about the little button to click down to take that out! Thanks for this video! It was very helpful :)

I pulled the trigger on this camera as well. For it's size the picture and vid quality is excellent. Like others have mentioned, the audio, especially with background noise is not the greatest. It's unfortunate that the don't have an external mic jack. Other than this, great camera.
I love the size and focus on this camera.

Good info! Planning on replacing my PowerShot SD630 soon with the G7X Mark II. Has lasted me a good 10+ years, but it's time to move on. Will get it for better pictures and video. Love WiFi feature also! Is this a good move?

Hello. I have a Nikon D3300 + Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 DSLR. The photos are beautiful but the equipment is terribly heavy. Will the Canon g7x work as a second day camera, for trips or for a portrait? Will the photos be much worse than the SLR? I usually do portraits and street photos. Sometimes a birthday party at home in good light. Thanks for all the advice.
Hi. I have a Nikon D5500 and the same Sigma lens. I really love them, but yes they are very heavy. I recently got the g7xii to use for travel and backup for the DSLR and have been comparing the two systems. The dslr is definitely more versatile, but I feel the the Canon is not far behind the Nikon in photo quality. I am strictly a stills photographer. Did you end up getting the Canon?

Hi, I just ordered a Canon - PowerShot G7 X Mark II 20.1-Megapixel Digital Camera at Walmart. I would like to know if it's the same thing as Canon - PowerShot G7 X Mark II 20.1-Megapixel Digital Video Camera. Will I be able to use it for vlogging?

Thanks for this, but a new feature for Canon point and shoots is like an old feature for Fuju point and shoots. Exposure control for video. That's a very important feature. So, am I right that this camera has exposure control for video? (I don't mean auto, I mean manual) My old Fuji had up to (in 1/3 stops) plus 2 and minus 2 stops for video. At the same time on the Fuji, it would still adjust for exposure as if it was only in auto exposure, but the manual adds onto the auto. Very handy.
...biggest headache ? wifi connectivity is always a problem ? any help pease ? or how do I transfer photos and videos from the camera to my computer ? help....help....help...thanks.
Thanks for the great review - I'm looking at this Cam for Vlogging, can you tell me if the Canon is capable of select depth of field focusing for video? I really love the filmic look and wanted a Cam just like this that would also allow me to Vlog with sharp images at a certain DOF and blurred background. Thanks!

I just recently got this camera and I love it BUT I'm using it more for video. But not really vlogging just me sitting and shooting a video. The auto focus noise ( or whatever it is) is not very pleasant in playback. Is there a way to fix that or should I take it back?

So this camera has built in lense? Does that mean we can't put other lense in this camera? And is this full frame? Because i dont know much about cameras sorry
I figure it's 35mm equivalent is a 24-100mm/f4.9-7.6 lens. You can get a used 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens for $100. A lens that is f4 at all lengths is much more expensive. The background blur seems above average for a point and shoot, taking a picture of my hand in the store, lol. In fact the blur seems very similar to an a6000 with the kit lens.

Is there a quicker way to import pics/ videos without having to use the WiFi button on the side? When trying to upload videos on my laptop it takes a long time or sometimes stops midway and disconnects to the WiFi :/

So I got the g7x mark 2 and in my videos it's not as crisp and good quality as it's supposed to be you can see it doesn't give good quality if you see my videos and I was wondering how you can fix it so it can look more professional. I think Canon G7 X is best for blogging...... easy to handle
So i have this camera but for some reason im not able to recrod a video with the soft skin focus. The soft skin only works when taking a photo but not video. Does anyone else have this problem? And is there a way to fix it? UGH

But you can't compare it to the 24 - 105 L... there's much more glass.. So therefore it will let in a LOT more light... And it's a fixed F-stop, so the exposure won't change if you change the zoom...

Have u tried to record by that canon for long time maybe for an hour without interuption by the heat lense??because other product did it after long recording the camera just inform that the temperature was increasing and just turn off suddenly,,it was so bad since we will lost the moment..
