John had number one albums in 5 consecutive decades. He is our Legend and loved. Richard Marx named him best living voice anywhere alive because of all of the genre’s he can sing naturally. Jimmy is recovering from open heart surgery at the moment. Complications set in when got pneumonia that caused a bacterial infection in his heart and he suffered valve issues. Apparently he is progressing well. 2023 was also John Farnham’s year of ill health too with his mouth cancer and his family have said he is also recovering well.
Never gets old. So great and yes; always amazing extra energy Live. So many favourites; but John's 'Burn For You' is a stand out for me. Written for his lovely wife; Jilly, whilst out on the road touring and missing her.🥰

Both John and Jimmy are Aussie music legends! They are both revered and we will love them forever! ❤ Considering neither of them are Aussie born (John is a Pom and Jimmy a Scot), we claim them anyways as they both grew up here and started their musical careers here.
The best part of John’s singing is his versatility. He can sing anything from the softest ballad to Rock, Pop, Classical, Country , Operatic etc. You name it and he can sing it! He is much loved in this Country and he is known as ‘The Voice’. He is always happy, laughs a lot, he adores his family and is happiest when singing. We are all relieved to know that he has survived an 11 hour Cancer operation and after many months, is reported to be singing around the house.

I always loved the Original Version video of Spiderbaits take on Black Betty. The Official and Original video clips shouldn’t be mixed up. Someone played with and messed up the Official Video with a superimposed movie clips. The one to watch is the unmolested Original Video. The banjo, guitar and drums all make the song. Not to mention that drop dead gorgeous Black Coupe burning rubber and sliding around the camera.
John’s voice is fantastic and he has an amazing range. He does miss notes on occasion- he is human and this makes his songs even more enjoyable. No one is infallible 😂 Working with his songs in the digital studio setting I’ve actually found Jimmy Barnes is more on key than Farnsey but I’ve never corrected either of their pitch as its those moments that often bring out more raw emotion in a performance.
