That's why John is always referred to as The Voice. When he was touring Germany he appeared in from of well over 100,000 fans and sang this 'live' to the crowd. It's on video somewhere on RUclips. Love this man.

Thank you for this great reaction. Many of John's songs still have relevance today. His music is powerful and inspiring. John is the GOAT!! He can sing anything in any genre. Please keep reacting to him. And always react to him live. His studio albums are great, but he truly shines on stage, and you get to experience his tangible connection to his audience. He's humble, funny, loves his fellow humans, and always gives 110% in every performance. A great one to react to is John singing 'Help' live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Another great one to react to is 'When The War Is Over' from the Whispering Jack concert. There are many, many more that I could suggest, but these are a good place to start.

Saw John perform this when he was 70, he was still as powerful and engaging.
I Can also tell you when John Farnham recorded this song he was in deep hole where he had no money and that song and album change him forever.

Have you caught up with John Farnham‘s concert in Munich back in the 80s. Really worth checking out.❤
One of the songwriters took it to his record company and they rejected it as not having commercial value. John got the demo and recorded it despite actually being denied permission. It went to No.1 in Australia, West Germany and Sweden, no.3 in Ireland and Switzerland, 6 in the UK and charted in a number of other European countries (barely rated in the US).
He's the truth!!! And the teller of truth has no friends.
And it pretty much became a national icon in the Australian music history.
I have to add to that statement plz: in all fairness John was not known well here in the States he stayed in Australia where he lived and loved and they loved him he never had to leave! This ICONIC VOICE would have went to #1 worldwide&here if his music had been played,I love this Man we all love this man I was late learning about him and I’ve listened daily since reactors introduced me, I get chills I get happy I get sad every emotion there is, Johns music will touch your soul he is PHENOMENAL hands down✌🏻❤

Suggest you check out Johns version of "Black Dog" which is only audio as he only used it as a concert "warm up" usually. On one ocassion the sound Tech, actually recorded it...unbelievable result.
If you haven't watched John Farnham version of HELP with the Melbourne symphony orchestra, you should.
When the composer was asked if Farnham could record it, he said "h*ll no!" but Farnham recorded it anyway, and when the song became a massive world wide hit, and the money started rolling in, he was very glad Farnham ignored his wishes.
