Full-Frame Wide-Angle Beast | Laowa 12mm + Alexa Mini LF Backyard Test

After seeing the Laowa 12mm Zero-D Cine at NAB in 2019 I could not wait to get it on a Alexa Mini LF. Seeing that we are quarantined at home I took to the backyard to put it to the test. For the price, the Laowa is a phenomenal full-frame ultra wide lens that does not disappoint. It resolves well and produces lovely flares. Its close focus ability really got me excited. This is a lens I will have with me on every shoot.

Filmed with the full-frame Alexa Mini LF at 60fps in sensor mode LF 2.39 4.5k ARRIRAW. 'Autumn 1' LUT from Arri Look Library and exported ULTRA HD ProRes files out of Resolve. Edit in FCPX. B-roll was shot with C500 Mark II.
