In this video I explain some of the reasons you might be failing to overcome your dpdr and what you can do about it. I know that you're worried about the dpdr symptoms, feeling like you're in a dream or feeling detached from your emotions and surroundings. Maybe you've had depersonalization a long time and have given up.
This video is for anyone who either thinks they can't recover from dpdr or have tried everything and nothing works.
This is a channel for people who suffer from dissociation (depersonalization and derelization - DPDR). If you have depersonalization or derealization there is a way to get out of it and get your life back. DPDR is a form of anxiety that makes you feel like you're looking at yourself from the outside (depersonalization) or you experience life 'like looking through a fishbowl' (derealization), or both (DPDR). Essentially you feel disconnected from yourself and everything around you, for hours or even weeks and months at a time.
It can be extremely scary and exhausting and often it feels like there is no way out which causes a lot of anxiety. However, there is a way out and it's absolutely possible to live a normal and connected life, permanently.
If you'd like to know more about your depersonalization and derelization and how to overcome it, please book a free discovery call with me. Together we'll go into why you dissociate, the path to recovery, how to finally overcome it and how to stop it coming back.

Hiii! How are you? It's totally alright to feel like that, k? Firstly, know that it isn't your fault at all. You're a fighter for enduring it!! I know it's definitely like something that makes everything seem terrible. You are a shining example that people can grow stronger. What I have sort of picked up is letting the feelings stay (not like trying to get rid of them). While the feelings are there, I would just focus on anything else in near me. The mind gradually stops panicking then. You are amazing, understand? No one can say otherwise.

I feel like a robot... I mean i don't have other symptoms like observing myself or memory loss. My memory is sharp and i'm connected to my body... I just feel like i'm doing things mindlessly... I tried mindfulness, it felt so good initially but my life remains robotic. It feels like the universe has no colors or value. It's just things happening...

I've been dealing with dpdr since I was about 6yo. I'm 54 now. The only thing that has helped somewhat is anticonvulsant drugs, but they wear off after a few years and they mess with your body in other ways (sexual, liver, etc.) But without them I couldn't finish college and keep my job. Rn though, symptoms are really bad. 😢
