The underappreciated gem of Series 5 is Mark Watson. You can always tell and feel how much he wants to do well, and it really enhances the experience. That heron is a treasure.
If you haven't seen it yet, UKTV has outtakes from Taskmaster. Including Mark Watson's Yoghurt Kick, which Alex labels as "the best thing you ever done."
I agree, but equally treasurable I would say is how much fun Nish has at all times, even though he rarely does well. He truly is just having the time of his life and it makes me enjoy it even more.

I think Bob’s favorite thing about doing tasks is the opportunity to chat Alex’s ear off with ridiculous stories that sound made up but it’s hard to tell.
I think Nish's was a worthy win, but yeah I'd say Sally and Aisling did better than Mark, while it's often said Mark got robbed quite a bit in this series, he should have been in the bottom 2 for that task, sure he made a business but his coconut itself was pretty meh

It's worth a watch but I don't revisit it. 5 and 4 are probably the best for everyone having fun together. 7 is my overall favorite and the dynamic is hilarious. 9 was back to fantastic, especially with some of the creative open ended tasks.

I would love to see task cuts! Maybe after they've cut all the aired stuff into as many snips as they can think of they will resort to giving us some more non-aired content. A lot of those tasks gave contestants 10, 20, 30 minutes, or more! Tons of footage from aired tasks that were cut for time.
My mother has one of those lung devices. She had major surgery recently, and they wanted her to reach a particular level before she was discharged from the hospital. Since they apparently don't reuse them, they gave it to her. It's sitting on a table next to her chair, as kind of a participation trophy (though she certainly did conquer her ailment, doing very well).
I only just noticed Aisling was barefoot for the table tennis live task. Often you see the female contestants taking off their heels if the task will require a lot of physical movement.

I thought he said "commas" and didn't get it, so I had to think for a sec to figure out what another word for "business" is. And then the joke wasn't as funny because then I had to recall the sentence in my head and it wasn't as funny as the intonation Alex used. #secondlanguageproblems 😔

Sally seems like the nicest and most comfortable person. When Greg went in for a shake and she went in for a hug I just thought she seems like the nicest person to hug. Even if she does smear chocolate cake into your armpit.
This task was so simple yet clever. Very similar to last season with the jazz band playing while the contestants came up with certain words. Both really really good. But my favorite live task of all time is in series 7, the one with the "donut". The utter madness and savagery that played out on stage was glorious.

I can't decide if my favorite series is this one or series 7. Nish and Mark are a joy and my new OTP, Bob is legend, Sally insane and Aisling ridiculously competitive. Yet Rhod, Phil, and James are the most entertaining group ever and the prize tasks are epic.

There are zero comments about how incredible Sally's coconut WITH AN OYSTER CARD AND A TINY COCONUT ID so I feel like she deserves at least as much credit as the creator of Mr. Potato Head even though I think Business Coconut has more personality and a better portfolio.
The whole 3 items task is one of the overall best in the shows history. Nish with the movie star walk up. Bob's amazing throw, then trying to play it cool and failing, then struggling to mount the table. Aislings eating the worst possible choice immediately after reading the word "eat" the silent motionlessness stare at the jelly as it slid down the pole. Mark being the only one to not need the table to balance something on the pole. Nish's complete meltdown. Followed by the incredibly stylish jelly throw once he'd already lost the task. And Sally's incredibly risky and brilliant jelly throw. Also Alex's cheeky fish pun while looking right down the barrel of the camera. Also the fact that Mark, aisling and Bob were all very close in how long it took them to complete the task. The stage task in the episode is great also. "Nish Kumar as i live and breath. I always knew it would end this way"

The whole 3 items task is one of the overall best in the shows history. Nish with the movie star walk up. Bob's amazing throw, then trying to play it cool and failing, then struggling to mount the table. Aislings eating the worst possible choice immediately after reading the word "eat" the silent motionlessness stare at the jelly as it slid down the pole. Mark being the only one to not need the table to balance something on the pole. Nish's complete meltdown. Followed by the incredibly stylish jelly throw once he'd already lost the task. And Sally's incredibly risky and brilliant jelly throw. Also Alex's cheeky fish pun while looking right down the barrel of the camera. Also the fact that Mark, aisling and Bob were all very close in how long it took them to complete the task.
The stage task in the episode is great also. "Nish Kumar as i live and breath. I always knew it would end this way"
