I honestly think my fave line from this series was Mark's "I am shattered to get no points for something which genuinely, when I look back at this year, it's one of the major things that I've done with it." :)
Between coming in last for stealing Greg's pants, being subjected to his phobia of balloons, wasting 5 months of his life sexting on an old phone, and naming 92 countries trying to stack 6 cans I'm glad Mark won the episode, he needed the win.
Honestly, considering all the shit he got this episode, I'm absolutely mystified how he even got so many points. Then I remember that this series has an inordinate amount of people managing to disqualify themselves.

Last episode Mark got 4 points for sneezing 48 hours into a timed task, this episode Mark got 4 points for putting a pebble into a balloon and asking the sound guy to blow it up.

Everyone crying about Mark's cheeky text task, but this episode also featured Bob being 'fed up' by the balloon task and poor Aisling realizing all that effort in the country task was for nothing. This was such an unlucky episode. Haha!
There are 2 things that are always true with Task Master: 1. The person shown doing the task Last, has either done something incredibly genius, or something unfathomably stupid. 2. When Nish is the last person shown, we already know one it is.
I think Nish was the last shown in the coconut businessperson task which he won, but yeah usually when he came first he was one of the first ones shown

Sally Phillips' bizarro raunchy comedy sense is amazing. If you watch her old skits from Smack the Pony it's all like this. She looks like a posh mom who paints flowers, but there is some unknown stuff going on in that brain of hers.

Philips is intentionally explicit to challenge the idea that women should not be as vulgar as men, women just don't "get" that kind of comedy, and whether it's still funny when a woman does it to a man. tl;dr It's satire.
Bob saying things like "I used to tether my donkey to keep it out of the kitchen" in such a matter-of-fact way and Alex replying "I know" 😂😂😂. This is such a great show

For example, removing the leash, moving the table closer to the trolly and just taking it easy from there. And it might seem impressive, but it's really not. Not if you have a system, making sure not to repeat. Some of them went alphabetically, and that is valid. But personally I wouldn't go that way because it invites accidental repetition. Instead, I'd go geographically, from one continent, from east/west to the other naming bordering countries. That way you don't accidentally say Bolivia or Botswana twice. I simply don't think it's that impressive. And I was terrible in school.

But having to run back every ten seconds makes stacking cans much more difficult, and being constantly distracted by another task makes making countries more difficult. The east to west strategy was my thought as well, and I sat down and tried it and got significantly over 92. Maybe it’s just me, but I personally work very badly under pressure and so it is still quite impressive for me to see him get such a high number while being distracted and with a certain time limit.

So the pressure of time is only ever an issue if you know you can't name many countries so you have to cram as much work possible in as little time as your knowledge allows. If you can easily name over 92 countries, time pressure disappears. As you can just take your time to formulate a plan while standing next to Alex and naming a couple of countries in the meantime. After you do the things I mentioned in the earlier comment, you can literally stack a single can carefully, and then stand next to Alex to name the next country. Ok if you work badly under pressure, and take it as a measure of impressiveness then he should have scored less on your scale. Looking at it logically, while he did name 92 countries, he didn't do a terrific job of stacking the cans. 6, same as Bob who didn't name as many. That actually diminishes his 92 countries-count effort, as it proves he didn't preform well under pressure. But I don't think I can persuade you to change your stance, so let's agree to disagree :D
God, this episode was amazing! Greg realizing how his trousers went missing, Sally fucking a water cooler, Mark's shattered soul after five months of dedication, and Aisling's fury over the bean tower. Every episode has been fun, but rarely do we get one brimming with this much gold!
I always love watching this episode because when they talk about the apple bit, it's clear that Bob genuinely has no idea how much of a cult following he has online ❤️
I always thought Bob faked tearing the apple in half because he takes it out of frame several times. I assumed he was replacing the whole apple with a pre-cut one when it was out of sight. I didn’t know he could really do it until seeing him do it on Would I Lie To You. After seeing him do it on WILTY, I tried it myself. It was one of the hardest things I’ve done in a long time, but when I did it, I really impressed my 10 year old son, which was the other hardest thing I’ve done in a long time.
I seriously think Mark Watson should release the little book of cheeky texts. 5 months of work. He looked absolutely crushed when he didn't get any points for that.

I love what Alex does on this show and he just has been shown writing odd tasks or letting contestants continue despite them clearly already having reached the rule-defined end of the task early, but this episode has it all coming together at once and this makes him look, especially compared to the previous episodes and seasons, make him look DRASTICALLY evil it's hilarious

The task was 5 months before the studio segment. So there is at least a 5 month window for him to learn the egg peeling and go on WILTY. I got 5 months from the text message challenge. It would also explain why it was only 500,000 hits.
I believe the task was filmed before WILTY while the filming of this episode was filmed after WILTY. That's the only way that this would make sense I think.
Crazy as this may sound, Bob will sometimes lie for the sake of comedy. He doesn't genuinely present both pork pies and broccoli on the same spinning elephant unit, and frankly I doubt that he's ever actually met any South African gangbangers.
I promised you the best episode of Taskmaster, and here it is. The best individual episode of Taskmaster that there has been as of yet. Between Mark's prize task,.the individual task, and Sally's...well. How can you do better?
There are several. Mark & Nish's song coming up is awesome, for instance. Although, if I recall correctly, it too is another miscarriage of justice at the hand of Mr. Davies.

I love what Alex does on this show and he just has been shown writing odd tasks or letting contestants continue despite them clearly already having reached the rule-defined end of the task early, but this episode has it all coming together at once and this makes him look, especially compared to the previous episodes and seasons, make him look DRASTICALLY evil it's hilarious
I love how Nish is always having fun despite failing spectacularly, it's genuinely wholesome and his laugh is so contagious

The task was 5 months before the studio segment. So there is at least a 5 month window for him to learn the egg peeling and go on WILTY. I got 5 months from the text message challenge. It would also explain why it was only 500,000 hits.
I believe the task was filmed before WILTY while the filming of this episode was filmed after WILTY. That's the only way that this would make sense I think.

I think in Bob's comedy time is not a straight line...the WILTY episode is from 2015, so way before this
Crazy as this may sound, Bob will sometimes lie for the sake of comedy. He doesn't genuinely present both pork pies and broccoli on the same spinning elephant unit, and frankly I doubt that he's ever actually met any South African gangbangers.
I promised you the best episode of Taskmaster, and here it is. The best individual episode of Taskmaster that there has been as of yet. Between Mark's prize task,.the individual task, and Sally's...well. How can you do better?
