I like how they edited out out all of Katherine’s marble run where it was rolling back and forth and back and forth, so it looks like everyone’s so impressed that it just rolled across the room and bounced back a couple of feet.
Oh that makes so much more sense, legit thought it didn't even roll 1 lap and was wondering what was so amazing about it.

I feel like the moment where Greg says to Ed "but you're a concious being..." and he responds with "OH I'M SO SORRY" is seriously underappreciated. Ed's sarcastic delivery is fucking perfect. So downright offended that Davies would hold his sentience against him.

Ed and Greg are also very good friends and have been on tour together. From other bits you can see there's a deep love and friendship between them so Ed getting upset here is extra funny :)

Yea, cause yelling, you typically just get angry and rebellious. When they're calm, well, you get a bit more of 'they care' and 'I fucked up'

That scene where Greg pulls James aside and he seems terrified is probably the most classic in the whole programme 😂
I love Victoria's genuinely concerned "No!" when Greg says Morgana is disqualified. I thought all the ladies that series had wonderful chemistry and camaraderie.
They did it was lovely. Whenever there's 3 women on they tend to do that
When Greg looks into the camera with anger, after saying his mom would not buy the game for him is just pure gold. Cracks me up every time.

That Greg and James interaction is just the perfect improvised bit. James immediately backing down and Greg going full teacher was spur of the moment brilliancy.
The way they cut Katherines marble run in this video is criminal.
Cutting around Phils haggling story too was a bit much
Greg disregarding and swearing at the audience is always a highlight.
I think the master of swearing at and insulting the audience was Rik Mayall, so Greg may have taken after his father somewhat in that respect. And the more Mayall swore at made rude gestures toward and mocked and insulted the audience, the more they liked it.
The James Acaster box bit cracks me up everytime

@@exessex3522 I doubt they meant traditional way of an on-screen assistant. There is no traditional way for that. There is however a traditional way in general such as spanking and other sorts of torture, which I believe is what he was alluding to.

To be fair, after getting back to the box, it took Greg a whole 2 seconds and a half to just smash the thing to the floor. So I assume if James hadn't interrupted, Greg still would have ended up smashing it within the next 5-10 seconds.
But yes, it would still have been a long boring segment haha
@@stone5against1 Phil Wang said in the podcast that they got a replica box specifically for Greg to destroy so that was definitely the original plan before Acaster elevated the whole thing with his outburst. Though it's still kinda funny since apparently they didn't tell Phil that it was another box so he spent most of the rest of the episode bummed about Greg smashing the box he submitted for the prize task.

I know everyone is talking about James loosing it and Greg going into teacher mode but my all time favorite moment is Ed Gamble loosing it. I have three sensitivity levels! To be perfectly honest I'm on my last effing one! Is brilliant.

My favorite one of these moments is when James Acaster blurted out what he was thinking watching Greg with the unopenable openable box. The whole clip is amazing, James just blurting out, Greg looking taken aback and going into a teacher/parent mode as he pulls James aside, just great, lol.

The season with Daisy Johnny Kathrine and the other two I can’t remember their names was my favorite. Daisy just sitting at the end laughing the whole series. Katherine getting Greg Andy with the way she did tasks and Johnny just losing his mind the entire show every task was amazing

7:30 I've seen the moment when Acaster calls Davies a pussy several times now. The different reactions by those on stage is quite interesting. Jessica Knappett behaves exactly like a classmate who's just heard a fellow pupil call the teacher a pussy; James looks like that pupil who realises he's in trouble now; Davies reacts like that teacher; Alex grimaces as in "Well, that was brave"; Kerry Godliman just laughs; Phil Wang gives a delayed reaction laugh; Rhod Gilbert hardly reacts at all. Improvised British comedy at its finest!
I think of Rhod in this comparison not as a fellow student but the teacher's assistant: he folds his arms and sits back to watch while Greg takes him to one side.

I think this shows one of the many reasons the task master spin off didn't work. The other task masters tried to be fair and consistent... But a petty and judgmental referee is way more entertaining.
