Yeeeees! We do about thirty minutes to an hour and it’s such a rollercoaster because sometimes it does the job and tires her out and then sometimes doesn’t and she’s still a demon 😹

The other day I walked outside and heard my cat screaming at me and I couldn't figure out where she was...then all of the sudden she came straight down out of a pine tree from like 40 feet up. Scared me to death.😂
(She's a spayed, outdoor, people-friendly but still very much feral barn cat and I love her to pieces.)

When you said "DEMON ENERGY" and it was a clip of her on a rampage I died.
You can definitely close your bedroom door when you go to sleep! I got a 5 month old kitten and he did the same biting, and I could never sleep so I started making sure he had a cozy bed and blankets in the living room. Now he’s 14 months old and still crazy play demon but he sleeps through the night with me- so no side effects of not sleeping with him for a while from my experience! He’s still super cuddly and loving, just waits for me at the door in the morning :-)

Oh my gosh my heart is melting! But I am telling you cats are like potato chips, you can't just have one!😻 Also your cat's colors are so pretty and I believe a cat with those colors is called a tortoiseshell cat.

We got our cat when she was little, she's one year old this month, and we've only slept with her in the bedroom for a month until we moved so we can all have more space to live. And since then she sleeps downstairs and she's fine with that, but as soon as we wake up she wants to be with us 😅❤️
I had to do the same with my cats because they would jump on the bed right by my face in the middle of the night and scare the crap out of me. So we had to go through the agony of shutting the door and getting them used to being locked out till morning. But eventually they learned to LOVE their little beds downstairs and would come running up in the morning once the door was open.
My cat perked right up when Autumn meowed! Such a cute kitty, glad you have her in your life.

Congrats, she's really cute! As far as the feet thing goes, maybe try shutting your bedroom door at night? And with baths, use 3 towels, 1 in the bottom of the tub/sink (I got this idea from a crazy cat lady on animal planet lol, she said that the cats need something to grab onto), 1 for preliminary drying, and 1 for snuggles! Good luck with everything!

He had been with a family his whole life but they moved & couldn’t take him. Shadow (my cat) had been at the shelter so long that he was on “sale” 😩 & no one wanted him because he’s older. I’m so happy I found him because he’s literally my “soul” cat...my best friend 😊
But anyways! You’re an amazing cat parent already, I can totally tell! & also, she will calm down/become more snuggly maybe around 3 or 4 years old...I’ve seen it w/ almost every kitten I’ve known!

Autumn is a beautiful cat! I love calicos, they have such pretty markings. We have three cats, all rescues and hand raised. Samson and Delilah were 10 days old, and Rajah was one day old. I’m pretty amazed Rajah survived, but he’s a Garfield clone and a real stinker. He doesn’t know he’s a cat lol. We got him when my daughter was 15 and going through a tough time, and taking care of him helped her through it. He will always be special to us because of that.
I have that immediate feeling as soon as I have seen ALL of my pets throughout my life!!!! I think they are you’re soul pets! Just like people are meant to come into your life... they are too! My boyfriend has never had pets until mine. He snuggles my Charlie CONSTANTLY! He is a daddy’s boy now. Ollie will always be a momma’s boy. But now he wants another one! He is turning into a dog person now!!! They are soooo much better than humans!
Aww she's beautiful, I've adopted cats for 30 plus years, all have thankfully lived to around 19/20 years old i worked at a car rescue place so ended up adopting ones that got overlooked , I have 3 now, 1 is 19 yrs 1 18 yrs old & a special needs, just love them , if you buy fresh flowers avoid lily's the middle of lillys is poisonous n if shes being naughty at bedtime try putting a jumper you have worn at bottom of bed, she shud snuggle it xx

She's so cute! I would def continue to trim her nails on a regular basis. I fostered a cat recently and he was totally chill with me doing his nails after I did them for a while. Also with that same cat I did not allow him in my bedroom at night due to him being crazy and bothering me and my other cat all night. At first he did meow at the door but after a while he got use to it. I would highly recommend it! I'm sure after a while you could probably transition out of doing this but it could possibly help your sleeping lol. If you are interested in something that might help her calm down a little bit I recommend this diffuser called feliway, it can help with all kinds of things and it comes in a wall plugin or just a spray you can spray on stuff like the condos. I've seen multiple vets recommend this product including the one I worked for. Of course she's young so you may want to wait on that but if down the line she's still a little ball of energy it's something to consider!
julie serold Yes, feliway is magic! We moved to the USA (from Australia) and took our cat Gizmo with us 🐈. Since he didn’t like being in his crate (I mean who could blame him) we put in a soft blanket that had been sprayed with feliway. He wasn’t fussed about the blanket before, but he literally bonded with the blanket. Ever since then, he loved the blanket and even though we washed it regularly, it was still his security blanket.

She's gorgeous! Getting her used to nail trimming and baths early is a good idea. Those claw caps they sell have helped a lot with a friend's young cat who's still learning not to scratch, they don't hurt the cat or change their behaviour, but it can minimize the blood you shed while you work on changing it. Congrats!

She is so pretty!!🥺 When I adopted my cat he was 6 months old and hid under things and barely came out for almost 3 months. I was convinced he hated me but eventually he started having night zoomies and rolling around on his back near me until he eventually let me pet him. Now he’s obsessed with me and loves cuddles!! It’s a process with adopted kitties but so worth it💗

Adorable! I have a cat that last one so similar. We found her on a walk at the beginning of quarantine. She has made staying home so much more fun. We named her Honeysnuckle and she was only 4 months when we got her. She's very talkative and curious and so affectionate. I have to sleep with my door shut because she's nuts. Thanks for sharing your adoption with us. She's precious!
Growing up I’d pet sit for a family friend when they’d travel. They had two long hair Persians. They were soooooooo much work. You’d have to used a damp towel to clean their face in the morning and after EVERY time they eat. They matted really quick too. You saved yourself a ton of hassle and about a half an hour a day of cat maintenance hahaha

Yay, kitty! Our cat is now a senior and a couple things I regret from his kittenhood: not getting him used to having his paws touched and not getting him a companion. I can't wait to see more of Miss Autumn!
She’s adorable! I can relate to the attacking of the feet at night. I adopted two tiny street cats (brother and sister) in July and they are only about three and a half months old now. Normally, they don’t sleep with my husband and me yet, but we had to go to a hotel the last couple of nights to escape Hurricane Delta and the one little rascal bit our feet all night! They have so much energy, but are just so darn cute. We love them.

One of my cats was abandoned by the previous renters of a house we used to rent - took him a few months to stop being scared of us enough to come near the house again, and after a few months we ended up bringing him in! Now we have three little dumdums and they're each my favourite in a different way...

It seems like you and John are amazing cat parents to Autumn! My husband and I adopted a cat in September and we are loving having her around. They estimated her to be about a year and she also has crazy zoomies where she runs around our whole house playing soccer with a ping pong ball.

Gotta love the calico/tortoiseshell attitude 🤣 I got a tortoiseshell kitten about her age a few months ago and she’s very similar! Full of energy and tires out my other (3 year old) cat. She was also super snuggly the first day or two and now either sleeps next to me or just hangs out near me/in the same room.

awww it sounds like you got the perfect cat! Also, she is SO CUTE! Pro tip: keep an eye on your cat at all times when cooking, because my brother's cat once got on the kitchen counter and got into soup (even though our gas stove was on idk why he didn't shy away from the actual fire and heat). Luckily, he had a habit of dipping his foot in first, so he just had a sore foot for a little bit.

Autumn is beautiful... her eyes! We adopted our kitten 3 months ago and he is now 5 months. With you on the sleep problems! We get woken at 4, 5 or 6 am with whiskery kisses, snuffly purrs and feet in our face. 🥰.

It may be hard, but our cats haven't slept with us since they were kittens. They are now 2 and 3 years old. They love it! They get the whole house to themselves at night and we get our sleep lol they also get really excited in the mornings and wait right at our door!

Last year after ages wanting a cat I finally got approval by my landlord to have one and immediately went to my local pound and decided to hang out with each senior cat for about 10 minutes. About 8 cats in I met Gideon and I new he was my son. I have never met a cat as affectionate as him before and took him home instantly and it’s the best decision I have ever made. My mum mentioned to a friend of hers that works at the pound that her daughter adopted the most affectionate cat ever and without giving any other information the women asked if it was a cat by the name of Gideon. Apparently after all the years of experience working with cats he is the most affectionate she has ever met and I am not surprised by this in the slightest. You literally can’t even go to the toilet without him sitting on your lap the second you sit down. He even sits on your face to sleep at night which is a little annoying and results in waking each morning with a mouthful of cat hair but I do love being loved as much as I am by him. He is a cuddle bug with a heart of gold and everyone that’s met him has be astonished by how affectionate he is and I think is a perfect example of why considering adopting a senior is worth it.

I've only had one kitten in my life, all my other cats I adopted as adults, and I didn't intend to adopt my kitten. One day I was walking out to my car and... it meowed? And then two blue eyes peeped out from my wheel well. He was about three weeks old, really still too young to be away from momma but unfortunately we believe she wasn't alive because we searched everywhere and never found her or any siblings. He'd taken shelter under my car from the blazing sun. To this day, he's my baby. He never leaves my side and our bond is so strong. He's also got a beautiful big sissy who I adopted from my local shelter and she's my other love and one of the funniest animals I've ever met. ❤ Cats are the most amazing friends to have.

Awww! She’s beautiful! ❤️ thank you for rescuing her. I have an 18 year old rescue kitty and used to foster kittens. I trick I was taught, if you wish for your kitty to stay off of a surface, or to stop scratching something, put down sheets of tinfoil. Cats don’t like to walk across it. For example, my kitty started using the carpeting on the stairs of the house we were renting as her scratching posts, even though she had a huge cat tower and Kong cardboard scratchers. So we molded tinfoil to the places she favored and she stopped thankfully. I hope this tidbit of advice might help in some way.

aw yay an autumn video! I was surprised when you didn't make a vlog about adopting her, but I'm glad that you made this video! :) from one cat owner to another, don't worry about your kitty too much, especially now that the vet has said she's perfectly healthy! Kitties know how to be on their own, so she'll be okay if you have to leave her at home during the day (though i can't vouch that she won't make trouble). And oh my goodness alexa I know it's so cute when cats play with toys but you will spend so much unnecessary money on that cat if you keep buying stuff for her, it looks like she's set with fun things to do :) an one more thing about the attacking while yall are trying to sleep.. don't be afraid to literally throw her off the bed, but really, y'all should just shut your door at night to keep her out (but make sure she could still access a litter box). Congrats on adopting miss autumn and I'm excited to see more of her! :3

Honestly at first I only wanted a kitten but now I’d more prefer a year to adult or senior cat! Plus I find those don’t get adopted as much 😭😭😭 wishing I could just buy them all!

I got my cat as a kitten from the wild. Something happened to her mother and she and her siblings were abandoned near my mom's office building. My cat passed away a few years ago at age 22. (I was 8 when I got her and I had just turned 31 when she died). I moved around a lot and every time I got a new vet, they were always surprised to learn that she was feral originally. Long story short, I'm proud of you for adopting instead of shopping. All animals need love.

I have a young cat that is very playful and let me tell you a squirt bottle makes all the difference. Cars hate water, so spraying them with some water immediately makes them stop scratching or whatever they are doing.
