Hi Valerie, I'm so excited for this baby sheep. I've been waiting to make it. My new grandbaby due in September is a girl. Her name is Maci and I am going to have her special song between MiMi (me) and her be Maci had a little lamb. I thought this little lamb will be perfect for her. I can't wait!

You can do this! Sometimes the stuffing is really what shapes it...so before frogging the whole body, I'd just focus on stuffing to the edges of the body to "plump" it up!

How do you swatch to figure out what size hook to use
My oldest wants me to make her this, but I do not have enough chunky yarn. If I use regular yarn, will the size 8 hook still work for this or should I get a smaller hook?
Hi Jennifer! If you're going to use regular yarn I'd recommend using a 4mm hook, and probably safety eyes :D I'd also go with the version of the pattern that doesn't use fleece :D

Hi Corinne! You can use 3 strands of worsted weight yarn, or you can get Aldi baby yarn. I'l also written a blog post that shows how to alter the pattern so you don't have to use fleece, in which case, you can use any weight you want, because it should scale!

hi what fleece do you use mine frays
I use Luxe fleece, from Joann's, but blizzard fleece works well too! Make sure you aren't using flannel because that will fray really bad!
I'm not sure my walmart sells fleece and I am no where near a material store to get this :(

Hello, I live in UK & good quality Fleece is hard to find 😋 So even though Valerie's animals are sooo Cute with the Fleece & that's what makes them special & different 😋 I did Not use Fleece. I Crochet them solid from the Start 😀 💜 Erica x

Hi Cynthia! I'm learning more and more that the fleece is an issue for people, so I'm going to create a work-around for people who want to follow along, but can't get fleece. I'll work on that this week, then announce where everyone can find the work-around in my vlog this Saturday!
