Hello crochet girl, wishing that you and your family and yours are doing well 😄😄. I am so happy I finally found your video, I love your turtle and I made it and now I am trying to make a very large. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
All I can say is, I was searching for a stitch and a yarn that I would like to make a blanket. I saw this and all the other projects got put on the shelf. Can't wait to try and make this adorable turtle. 🥰🥰🥰
I want to thank you so much for this tutorial 🙏🏻 i have made this turtle with your wonderful video instructions! I am so happy how it turned out! 😁 This will be a gift for my sister whos birthday is this Friday 7/5 so i finished it just in time! Thank you again and God Bless you 🙏🏻❤️
I have follow you for a long time, and watch much of your videos… when you were MIA, I didn’t unsubscribe because I was hoping for you to come back…. You can’t imagine how happy I am for this CAL. You have made beautiful and spectacular patterns, but this one, this one took the ball out of the park, if that is a good translation from Spanish. I’m so glad that you came back with this absolutely genius pattern! It worth the wait! Thanks thanks and thanks! 😭😭😭 Pd. For several years I’ve had all the materials to make the Baby Sheep. Now, she will have to wait, AGAIN! until I make this Sea turtle! I can’t wait to show it! 🥹🥹🥹
Might be a silly question, but would I be able to do this with regular worsted yarn?I love this pattern but want to match it to a baby blanket I've made. This would be my first project that is not a blanket.
Good evening I am new to crochet and my grand daughter loves turtles so I am going to try to follow you. Thank you so much. Do you also have the written version please. Thank you
Yes there is a written pattern available for purchase here: www.oldsoulcrochetco.com/product-page/terri-sea-turtle If you have any questions just let me know!
What chunky yarn do you recommend? (I want to make for my twins and idk what yarn holds up best!) And i am looking all over for your brown variegated yarn color.. it is perfect for the sea turtle! Literally the cutest turtle pattern ive seen, you are an amazing artist! ♥️ Thank you for sharing with us!!
“Seafoam” Bernat Blanket Yarn “Sonoma” Bernat Blanket Yarn “Cafe” Red heart (*double strand) “Black” Red heart super saver “White” Red heart super saver *I used a double strand because I couldn’t find the color I wanted in a super bulky yarn. This are the yarn colors I used to make this turtle. I love bernat blanket yarn and that's what I make all my projects with. I feel it holds up great! Happy crocheting!
Ok. I'm terrible at following instructions. I write everything down and still get lost. My question is: i accidentally crocheted 1 xtra round in my first 4 pieces, since i am stuffing the top piece , would ot be possible to do the same with the next 3 top pieces. I can't stand the yhought of having to tear those first 4 pieces down and remaking them. Would it work making all my shielf pieces bigger?
Try it for sure, but you'll have to play with it a little more than just adding a row to each one because it will change how many stitches you need to go around it and for joining them if that makes sense. It might be easier to just pull out the one extra row from the 4 pieces. I don't think you'd need to remake them totally, couldn't you just tear out the one extra row?
I have to say I just finished making this turtle and it is the cutest frickin thing EVER!!! Thank you for the awesome tutorial. I have a bunch of the Seafoam color left over. Have you been able to make 2 turtles from the same skein?
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I always think they turn out cute, but I'm biased. It will be close on being able to make two, the pattern calls for 105 yards of the main color and there are about 220 in the skein of yarn. So it depends on how long you made all your tails etc, but it should get you most of the way there.
Increase means to make more then one stitch in the last row essentially. So if it says single increase, you would typically do two of your stitch in to the next stitch.
I've subbed to many Russian and Spanish speaking crochet channels. At first, I would just try to follow along by watching closely and counting in my own language. Then I learned that I could hit captions, then go to settings and select auto translate/English. The only problem then is that the translated caption often obscure the stitches I'm trying to watch. This necessitates watching more than once, maybe taking notes, which we all do anyway, right?

what brand of crochet hook is that ?
Hi I’m am working on it right now but have a question, do I need to use a nylon for the stuffing or can I just stuff it without it?
You can do it without it, but the stocking helps keep it all contained.

Hi. Thanks for the beautiful patern. Will this work if I use a 4ply yarn and smaller hook?
Yes it will, it will obviously be smaller, but it should work up the same.
@@oldsoulcrochetco.7887 thanks!

I tried to take out the last row. It's really fuzzy yarn and won't cooperate without tearing apart, and it was too expensive to waste.
So ok. I pulled up my big girl panties and unraveled down to which row I messed up. Hopefully I'll be more fully alert when I redo them😄.

Hey really love this turtle it’s so cute! I was wondering what do you mean by increase? I’m new to crochet and still have a bit trouble. Thanks!
Increase means to make more then one stitch in the last row essentially. So if it says single increase, you would typically do two of your stitch in to the next stitch.
