You need to get Bovington to put a compilation of the restoration video on display with it when it’s all done 😂 Mad amount of detail and Mad workers 👍🏻 Really looking forward to seeing it in action.
Always good to see progress on FV4005, im glad its in your hands and I hope bovingdon tank museum commissions you to resurrect more of their unique tanks
@@AgriVidsProductions I beleive the TOG sort of still ran last time they tried, honestly I really don't blame them if the museum doesn't want to try and get a petrol electric drivetrain from 1941 running again as it was comedically impractical even then
Great to see lads with a genuine love of what they do, being typical "squaddy"/Brits at work but at the core being efficient and professional in what they do. Plus having the odd pint down the pub and taking the piss mercilessly out of each other.

I suspect I will never get the chance to visit @thetankmuseum, but if I do I will appreciate even more this unique vehicle thanks to your videos about restoring it. That @tinkeringwithtanks video was very interesting and informative. Jack's work looks phenomenal and if not for videos like this there wouldn't be the opportunity of it even to be recognized except by the couple of folks who would experience pulling the pack. I'm digging that painting. Very nice,
Nice one Jack, you have put a load of effort into this project and it shows. I'm looking forward to seeing the final results. Thank you Mr Hewes, for sharing the experience.
From tank hull paint booths and forklift work benches comes great work. Jack is rightly proud - these videos are the record for work people won't see when it's finished. The mark of a proper job is work in depth, regardless of what can be seen. Preserve the history whilst renovating the rest. Champion job. Crack on.
What ever would you guys do without Jack ?? JACK M8..... YOU ARE THE MAN !! 🤘 And ALWAYS a pleasure talking to you whenever we come to the shows !! The rest of the guys were " apparently " to busy fart arsing around with some electrical problems ... APPARENTLY 😂
Jacks, done a bang up job so far with the painting and getting everything in order. He’s worth his weight in gold, or fish and chips! It’s all coming together, cheers.
I tell you the amount of work that Ted forces you guys to do every week is just astronomical! And the quality of work that you guys do is second to none. Ted take it easy on them a little bit, they need a little patience from you. Keep up the great work guys!😊
Ted is a good Dog, reminds me of my dog in high school. Same coloring and same attitude had to make sure I was doing everything the right way. Miss him. Enjoy watching and learning, always wanted my own tank, could use it to straighten out my neighbor.
He's a busy little bee isn't he? Well done Jack looks lovely, just hope you can get the rest done in time, what with your weekend off as well! As usual, thanks for all the hard work and includes the video work too.
Outstanding effort all round, Jack is an utter machine, just wind him up, let him go and he just gets shit did, I also see you upped the canine project management for this video, top bombing 👍🏻😁
It's good that you share experience with other military groups , can be very beneficial saving history , as said it's brilliant you guys get stuck in very interesting stuff compulsive viewing , thanks for sharing !
When you are welding up holes in thin sheet metal press a piece of flat brass underneath the hole and weld it from the other side it makes life so easy.
Top effort fella's. Yeah righto Jack, awesome job mate 😉 Should be proud of it. A necessary job, though thankless job. Eye is in the detail. Cheers for sharing.
Such an impressive project! I know quite some tanks, where the engine itself is smaller than the gearbox of this monstrum... go on, boys! Best regards from Germany, Jens
So happy that we will finally see the Turret soon, and hopefully see the tank all put together some soon as well, but right now the tank looks so good.
Watching you repair the water tank, Might I suggest you place a reasonable thickness copper plate to the other side of the surface when you are welding thinner thicknesses. It works as a heatsink and stops it blowing through. The copper will not contaminate the weld. trust me give it a go.
Thats not a terrible paint booth Jack set up, my dad operated his own auto body shop growing up, he would do something similar with the car port with tarps at the house when he would bring cars home to work on.

I love that the tank museum have hired the most mad cap shed dwelling team to fix the fv.
If there’s one thing i know about English sheds, it’s where the best, most madlad things happen. After all, we DID get the AWP that way.

Churchill Assault Gun. (Gun Carrier I think it was called).
the only surviving one was shelled to pieces as target practice, there's more left of the panther smallturm turret than the gun carrier@@Brigadier9
@@Imp-mq1be ah right. I've only seen poor quality photos of the Churchill Gun Carrier at Bovington.

I agree he's a good egg
Yes, a wonky but top machine.
That is the most enthusiastic I’ve ever seen Jack! He’s clearly vey proud of his work

Definitely a Jack “heavy”episode. There should be more. I get such a kick out of him.
Jack has been working his socks off, excellent and looking good
Good work Jack, you deserve a "big bonus" from Joe for all the work you have done. 😁
He's already had his bonus.Joe gave him a Land Rover Discovery 2
Jack’s doing a great job on the FV4007.😂 As for the darts, with aim like that he could be Royal artillery.😂😂😎🇬🇧

They don’t do it for love except they love tanks etc
This tank is going to look historically correct and amazing, you guy's skills are just mind blowing and you should be so proud of your work 🎉🎉🎉

The 007 is really starting to come together.

When you do your quick cuts to refurbished kit, try dropping the line “and here’s one I prepared earlier” Valerie would be so proud 😊
The term you're looking for with that gearbox is "a dulux rebuild."
A two gallon tune up
got to say, Jack is a real grafter! clearly someone who can be trusted to work on his own and work his knackers off
That fresh paint looks top notch.🎉
Forklift has turned into a work bench lol. 😂 Excellent progress.

So much work - and so well done!
It's all looking great well done! Cheap gazebo's make good spray booths. Ted+1. All good!

Well done Jack, great work.
This is the best restoration you’ve done so far!!

Great vid. Thanks chaps. I think I can remember this AFV at the tank museum from when I was at Bovington as a Junior Leader in the early 70's.
we want UPDATE!!! Love what you do, from the states, much love... want to see more FV4005! :)

Fantastic and detailed update, great work and attention to detail
Great video today. Looking good. I wish I lived close by to come over and help getting the road wheels prepped for paint and installed.

Brass takes the heat away?
Or a copper block
Copper works well. I use a thor hammer.
@@johnnunn8688 Yes, useful on thin gauge material to help it not distort.
@johnnunn8688 weld doesn't stick to it, but it keeps it from falling through in a big nasty melty messy puddle
