This isn't just a few lads playing with a tank. This is history being made and a documented restoration in full. Phenomenal attention to detail and well done Jack on all the cleaning, polishing and painting. Love this series
As a disabled U.S. Army Abrams mechanic.. I really enjoy watching you guys do your rebuild work. I have to admit to some jealousy over the fact that you all get to do this work, and I can not. Working on Military equipment was something I loved more than anything. Good job on the project so far.

Ted is taking direct responsibility for this FV4005 project and it shows in the quality of work on the project. Ted is a safe set of paws on this one. 🐕
That looks like the best and most difficult Airfix kit ever, i bet you loved laying it out on the floor all painted and awsome looking before assembly. Keep making the movies we all love em!!!
Joe, it's not often that I take iseue with you but you're wrong that Britain isn't still great. It is. It's people like you and your team that make it great. J
So far this looks better than anything the factory standard. As always if in doubt slap a coat of copper anti-seize. Beer and anti-seize are the best inventions.
What a skilled fork lift driver Ted is without his help there could have been alot more swaring and scratch paint work Yet again you have made another great video Thanks lads
You guys got a great payoff in terms of a very smooth reinstall because of top class preparation and layout. Plus you really know your stuff. A pleasure to watch.
Absolute pleasure to watch. I always look forward to your videos, Joe and Jack. Keep up the fantastic work you are doing. Yours is one of the greatest RUclips channels out there in my opinion.
Well done everyone, especially Jack. When the parts were laid out on the ground at the start, I thought it looked a bit like a giant Airfix model minus the plastic frame. Love the attention to detail and effort here. It's already very rewarding and will be brilliant!
Water pump pliers make a real tidy job of folding lock tabs, the tab needs a slight lift but then use water pump pliers to get a clean fold. Brilliant work great team love the banter.
She's very much Jacks baby, you can see his pride in what's been achieved and rightly so! I reckon when you give it back, he'll be down the tank museum every weekend polishing it and shining its nuts!
What a feeling it must be for you guys to assemble such pristine pieces back together for a change! Nary a spot of rust or speck of dirt to be seen. It's already looking fantastic - can't wait to see more of it! You all deserve big, big pints after this job - drinks on Seb!
In 1967 68 i worked for Rolls Royce and built the V12 proto type great engine and nice to see taking care of them . love your vids keep em coming from Canada.
Spectacular work lads. Looks amazing, and looks like grand work. And of course, Ted being there is the crucial thing, keeping an eye on the whole job. I'm sure Bovington will be happy with the Ted Certification.
I can see that you guys are back to your favourite Tonka toy with the very important help of recently promoted of Ted! The Fv 4005 looks better than new, great job as always 👍👍👍👍
I am happy to see that Ted is working and not just supervising. It's also great to see that he is forklift certified, as opposed to an alarming amount of frogs that aren't..
Guys my OCD is mightily impressed with the attention to every detail. But its the details that make the overall project right. Right? That this would all go well was never in doubt as Ted was overseeing every move. I will have to get the P38 finished and get up to the Museum to see how it all turned out first hand.
I was looking forward to this vid. Honestly many folks have zero appreciation of how much work something like this restoration is. I'm hoping all the upcoming work goes smoothly for you, you've approached this with lots of logic and careful consideration of process. More cider for you both I say!
thank the Lord, finally Ted has seen sense in showing you how to operate the fork lift properly - although when moving you should really keep the load low keeping the centre of gravity low, you'll learn that when things go slightly whoops when off road, and by that time Ted would have foreseen this and jumped well clear, self preservation Yet again Jack has performed a miracle of paint inside the engine bay, great job Jack
The tank is looking brilliant and am pleased to see that Ted is leading the way. His calm demeanor and attention to detail is well apparent. Amazing to think that you lot have done this massive job, in a shed down by the river with two spanners, an adjustable wrench and a big hammer. When it was originally built they had hundreds of hands, in a massive factory full of hoists and torches and all well supervised by some suites and clipboards. Well done, cheers.
Well done guys ! I've last seen what you are doing so well , is during the upgrading of our old Centurion tanks to the Olifant tanks here in South Africa ...
This has been brilliant from the outset. Great to see how much attention to detail has been taken. And trying to do all your other jobs as well..... FAir play lads!
Too bad they did not make that cross member unboltable that's go in across the engine department and make it and so you have to swing the engine around on its side to be able to get it in. You guys have a great Tuesday
You guys deserve a medal - seriously - a genuine medal - or at the very least, some formal recognition. What you lads do is bl**dy amazing - and thoroughly entertaining into the bargain!!
Wow that looks so minty fresh better than when it came from the factory keep going lads push on hope fully it will be a bit easier once engine gearbox etc is all done can't wait to see it at tankfest 😊😊
Outstanding!!!!! I hope the people at the museum will give all your hard work the recognition you all deserve by maybe having a video of your excellent work posted on a nice flat screen TV next to this vehicle In the museum.
OOh I missed this yesterday. I was out on Birthday visit looking at Hawkinge museum OK not tanks but they did have an RAF crane which would look good on the farm. Good show and shiney bolts all round!
Ready for Tankfest, glad you didn't say which year 😅 All jokes aside, you're all doing a great job and even if we have back to back FV4005 videos it will still be great to watch.
Your project management is faultless Ted. Good to see your Donald Sutherland lookalike assistant in the hi-vis and 'Jack the hat' were using 'Moly Copaslip' on the bolts, something I would always swear by in my engineering days at sea. Looking forward to see the machine up and running. I guess Jack is the 'Haribo' man ?
Very photogenic and camera conscious is your Ted, always ready with the right pose. Excellent job chaps, what a beauty. Easier to build it than to maintain it, I'm thinking. Looking forward to the next vid.
Jack does a fantastic job with the paint and appears purpose built for engine compartment assembly. Let's hope St. Nick Enterprises doesn't steal him back.
A nice lunch time watch, and outstanding restoration you're doing there :-) I think the orange jacket which is not much orange is standard for people playing with mechanical toys. Mine is mostly coloured like yours, and i'm wondering how come I smell off ep90 today, when all I did today was put the windscreen wash pipe back on the washer bottle pump on me tranny van as it came off lol........lucky an understanding mrs who has given up with the smell of oils, fuels and all the good stuff associated with spannering .

That engine bay is an absolute thing of beauty. I think it is the red linkages that tip the whole build from great to outstanding.
Sunday morning with a nice cup of coffee and a Mr Hewes video, life is good!
