Steve Holland gives us a superb display of his large Beech-18. He makes full use of the wind and demonstrates its super slow speed characteristics. Looks like the cross wind made the landing a little more challenging than expected but it flew again later that day !

A real beauty, maybe more airspeed would have worked better, winds seemed turbulent and changing directions. Anyways that's what I did when landing under those conditions in a helicopter and what my instructor taught us all.
For something this size perhaps one can see the point of RFID - maybe CVR and FDR boxes also! 😜😉 That could do some real damage - both in the air and to ground staff! 😁
But a Syma X5 with a pinhole camera!? 🙄
Paranoia. These RC aircraft are flown at organised RC shows where there is a NOTAM in place and safety measures to minimise risk of anything going wrong. We don't need RFID in these situations.
Does anyone know where and when the next events are this year? I’d love to go and watch. Are they still held at Barkston Heath?
