That Little Amberjack can grow to 2m - amazing. Shame the kings were all rats, but still fun jigging no doubt. Did you try live baiting? You can normally attract the larger kings that way. Absolutely love Narooma, hope the bar behaved for you. 👌 👌 👌
yeah they wouldn't take anything else! we caught a bunch more but clearly brad doesn't know how to press the ON button on camera. apparently a few bigger ones were caught on the day, but very few...
@@BaitBallin I use to take regular charters out to the Island well before the marine park was introduced. It was still commercially fished but there were plenty of keepers. In the later years we noticed more rats, less keepers. I’m sure it’s just a matter of cracking the formula for you boys. Awesome place 👌. Keep the vids coming. Stay safe.
a few boats, only those jigging seemed to be catching them.had to find the school then drop jigs, nothing, then move and try again. those who were just sitting around bait fishing caught nothing
ugly stik Bluewater rods and Finn nor lethal reels. those were only spooled with 30lb braid, next trip Il be levelling up to 50 and 65lb braid as got smoked on few larger models.... cheap reels, big drag. so far so good
Thanks for another great vid. I agree with you and the other 2 comments that is was a baby amberjack. Cheers Graeme
all good thanks Graeme! were slowly upgrading our fish ; )
Seals are in huge numbers in Narooma
Great video, looked like a baby amberjack

Was there many kingfish being caught?

Invest in some Williamson and bentos pink and lumo 200-400 gram jigs. If there’s a big kingie around it won’t be able to help it’s self!!!
thanks I will check them out!
What rod and reels you using mate?
