next time leave on the rubber grommet for the wire. it protects dirt from getting in your cable.. my first time i did it i had to replace my wire not long after cause it was so dirty inside and couldn't function. Given i live on a 3 mile dirt road that probly didnt help but just letting you know.
@@onyx_might72 it would do the same effect but the clutch spring one is better as it will not let the clutch slip. The stock clutch springs are from the ninja 300 and can slip
For some reason my clutch level will not return all the way forward. That is why I am thinking of buying this however as a stock bike it shouldnt do this to begin with. Do you have any idea why It would be do that?
Personally this option is good but the spring strength doesn't last that long, I have to push the clutch lever all the way forward and it helps it stay there but I won't go wall the way forward by itself. Ninja 400 had a recallish type of thing on this if you do some research. I had to bring mine to the dealer and they replaced the entire clutch pack and but the new RIGHT springs on there or something like that to fix the plates not coming into contact but I don't trust it so I bought this thing and I always make sure the lever when in gear riding is all the way forward so it doesn't slip. The dealer said it was something like a ROD in the clutch thing that was wrong I forgot, sorry.
@@rickyon2wheels541 hey bro thanks for the response. That's great to hear I have just a month left on my warranty and it's great to hear that they will replace my whole clutch! Glad to find someone who actually knows what the hell is wrong with the bike because I couldn't find much help online.
@@rickyon2wheels541 Do you know if they will do warranty service if I didnt document my oil changes/maintenance? Was reading the manual and saw that is said "you should document your maintenance with reciepts." In the warranty info section.
@@markwalker6692 I didn't document it in my case but they still did everything at no cost. I'm not sure if that will be the same for you but good luck and let me know what happenes
@@rickyon2wheels541 Hey just took my bike in and they're fixing it all for free but this dealership I took it too wont give me an answer on how long It will take. How long did your repairs take?
Anyone knows where i can buy this either from spears racing or another company. I cant seem to find where to buy it and spears racing says they don't have it anymore
makes it so your clutch does not stay engaged. kind of like a ball when it bounces back just in this case when you let off the lever it pushes the clutch back out so you can start riding.
Just did mine this morning. I cut the boot and just threaded the spring over cable at the arm. I lubed it with cable lube and a bit of lithium grease.

Nice
I ordered the the shifter set

Is this to give the clutch pull more resistance?
Yes i just installed it
Yes it does
I seen another vid where they remove the 3 springs in the clutch does that do the same effect as this one?

Funny I was looking for the opposite product, my hand hurt when I press my stiff clutch, wanted opposite of this
Don't have to cut the dust boot. Just pull it hard. It pops off

Sound like you called the cable a string a few times 😂
